That used to be the ACLU before it went political. But I completely understand your point, I was thinking about starting something like that myself.
5
@waynewilliams8554 Well, not anymore. Her alleged "power" is being questioned and her ego will be deflated.
5
Can you resist unlawful arrests in Washington? I know you can in Maryland.
5
He wouldn't do anything if I did it.
4
I physically remove the rodents from my property.
4
@jeremyhubbardTX1 You can overdose on loose fentanyl powder just being near it. It happens a lot. Looked like it could have been self defense if the cops repeatedly tased him with no justification and he was in fear for his life.
4
@fattone166 Yes, that's not really that old (really, it depends on the individual). I know a 70 year old who looks 40 and could wrap that cop up,
4
@supme7558 How would I be prison bound when the body can't be found?
4
@soujemn5 No, I just keep backing away and turning so they can't get behind me.
4
@420GratefulHippie I tell people all the time that patrol cops in CA can make $300K to $500K per year, and they just think I'm nuts.
4
@byronschroedel432 I agree that she is in the wrong, but the amount off force appears excessive, and they could have simply let her go after she calmed down.
4
@randyroyer9630 I know I wouldn't.
4
@MatthewHensley8304 Sure it is.
4
They should be fired, criminally charged, and sued.
3
@erniemenard7727 I think she's finally learning that she isn't.
3
@darrenporsch It is a state issue. Whether I would personally resist an unlawful arrest would be based on several factors. I would in some cases.
3
@waylander2 What is the cop is has a mental breakdown and starts beating you with a stick, should you not resist?
3
@victorbarreneche1326 I could also make the claim that the cops chose to fight to the death. Both parties were wrong in that case, but the cops were more wrong.
3
@RIP_Otis420 Lawyers will take anything if you pay them. But I would do this one pro se because it seems pretty cut and dry.
3
@harveyrobinson699 Ok. I didn't know she was 71, I thought she was in her 50s.
3
@harveyrobinson699 A 20 year old's opinion doesn't really count. I'm 53 and not even close to being old.
3
@cavaliercarey People don't understand that age is just a number, it's the individual's physical and mental capacity that matter.
3
@rsmith3062 Ok, but it's little to do with age. I'm 52 and still freestyle snowboard, full head of all blond hair, 33" waist, and up until about 5 years ago, got carded for alcohol. I feel better now than I did when I was 25. I conceal carry, so that cop's unlawful use deadly force could have very well been his last, or my last. One of us would have gone down.
3
@danielboone8435 I don't think it was established that they were in possession of the alleged airpods, so it's premature to call him a thief.
3
@billsmith5166 Let me clarify the type of situation I'm talking about. Breaking into a home without knocking, without a warrant, not identifying as a police officer and pointing a firearm at a citizen in his own home. Those do not constitute the actions of cop on official duty and acting within the bounds of the law. In fact, in some states, citizens are still permitted to resist an illegal arrest with the use of force.
3
@SeriouslyIssues Very true. They back up the police no matter what.
3
Something really needs to be done about "officer safety." That excuse needs to be codified into objective criteria.
3
@skillethead15 I think the cop wanted to first get the road cleared so everyone was out of harm's way, and then he would have dealt with the accident victins. I agree with the cop in that sense, but he didn't need to arrest her or use the kind of force that he did.
3
@GenX-Grampa There are Gen X grandpas? Wow, that's crazy.
3
@GenX-Grampa That's cool. I'm Gen X as well, I simply can't imagine getting married and having kids. I'm not really sure why I feel that way...I think I just enjoy my freedom too much. And 1989 (my HS senior year) seems like it was just 15 years ago, so it kind of catches me off guard when I hear that someone from my generation has grandchildren. In any case, sorry for the rant. I wish you all the best.
3
I'm 16 in a 50 year old's body. Lol.
3
@Catie11 Check his initial video on this incident, the link is in the description.
3
It happened to me. Unfortunately, I was too young and stupid to have known to sue the s*** out of them.
2
@matszz Comparing Trump to Stalin is completely nonsensical.
2
@matszz Seriously? Stalin oversaw policies that led to widespread famine, mass disappearances, and the forced relocation of entire populations. He maintained power through intimidation, total information control, and a system where disagreement often meant never being heard from again.
2
I cant even watch it. It's too much.
2
@heidikickhouse- But a cop being mistaken doesn't necessarily make the arrest unlawful. If a cop has probable cause to make an arrest, it is still lawful even if the cop is later proven to be mistaken.
2
I would be one of the people to physically fight an attempted obvious false arrest.
2
Yep, I would have taken him up on his offer, and the pig would have regretted it. (edit: grammar correction)
2
systemofaclown.824 You think 62 is old? 😂🤡
2
@creocrimson836 Sure, I know, but people are not identical copies of one another. Some people age at different rates for various reasons, like genetics, healthy lifestyle, metabolism, etc.
2
@creocrimson836 My comments hold weight because exceptions prove the rule is faulty. Age by itself is not the direct cause, but metabolism and genetics. Correlation does not equal causation. Age can be used as a guideline when assessing health issues, but doctors wouldn't ask the question if age were the casual factor, because they would already know the answer. Generally, dismissing a person's capacity for, or enjoyment of, activities based solely on chronological age is pretty ignorant and disrespectful.
2
@creocrimson836 Lol.
2
@creocrimson836 I wasn't trying to put words in people's mouths, I was speaking more broadly as it pertains to how Western society tends to judge based on age. I'm 52, and 23 seems like yesterday to me....the perception of time absolutely accelerates as you get older (at least for me it does). I attribute my youth at 52 to keeping a young mindset and continuing to do the things I love, snowboarding, motocross, and auto racing, and studying physics and philosophy.
2
@duanejackson6718 You'll have to be more specific. I usually don't talk about things I don't understand.
2
@creocrimson836 It's all good. 😉 👍 I love debates, I learn new things from different perspectives that are well defended (which you did very well in my humble opinion). Have a good night.
2
I hope these disgusting cops and judges read the comments on these videos. You're done, you little wannabe petty tyrant. Come to my house and search it without a warrant, see how far you get.
2
Tell the company I really don't care if it's losing revenue. It's a sham company with immoral owners.
2
@burlosborne3647 "In the course of his or her duty." Breaking the law is not in the course of their duties.
2
@danielboone8435 Sure, you may call him anything you'd like, but you have insufficient evidence to substantiate such a claim.
