  1.  @nebulongalaxus7212  NATO tactics put a lot of emphasis on manoeuvre warfare and they have the weapon systems to do it. NATO going into battle is going to have huge airpower plus far more artillery and MLRS plus a far greater amount of mine clearance ability than the Ukrainian forces have. The Ukrainian simply don't have the equipment to use NATO tactics. If you look back to world war two no one was able to conduct a successful offensive against a well armed entrenched enemy without air support.

  10.  @AndRei-yc3ti  US soldiers along with any soldiers from modern countries do 12 weeks basic then close to 24 weeks to train in the specialty. Special operations forces will take even longer and the soldiers continue to learn and train throughout their career

  19. If morale was non existent the Ukrainian would be suffering from mass desertions and it's not happening. The Russian artillery is the difference between the two sides the Ukrainian were always going to lose the Donbas once the Russians massed forces their the real question is will they be able to hold it and control it which could prove more difficult than capturing it.

Secondly Wagner admitted 20,000 dead then you would have wounded on top of that then you have casualties from other Russian units . It was the Russians coming forward for months getting slaughtered and ultimately the battle for Bakmut was the destruction of Wagner. That's what will be written in the history books

  34. With the casualty ratios you are talking about the Ukrainian would already have collapsed. The Russians have been taking heavy casualties but they lie about it and the Russian forces were deployed to capture Kiev and take out zelensky they weren't there to pull forces away from the Donbas.

  40.  @atomic0914  Chechnya is a smaller country and they didn't have the weapons or support that a Ukrainian insurgency will have. The Ukrainian will be fighting any insurgency over a large landmass and they will be well supplied and there won't be any fixed positions that the Russians can concentrate their artillery fire on. Russians we'll just keep dying every day no matter what they do to try and stop it happening and the war will drag-on for months into years and in the end the Russian people will tire of it and demand a withdrawal. The Ukrainian fighting man has shown himself to be a very brave tough opponent and also very skilled intelligent and disciplined and the insurgency will be bigger and better equipped than the one that defeated the Russians in Afghanistan. The Ukrainian people simply don't want to be ruled by Russia and unless the Russians can break the Ukrainian people's will to resist Russia is going to be defeated.

  42.  @hkfoo3333  The NATO forces were leaving Afghanistan after 20 years regardless of availability of airpower there was no reason to stay there any longer. How long do you stay there 30 years,50 years? They couldn't control rural areas because they couldn't see their enemy and everyone including the Russians had the same problem. Korea ended up in a stalemate with both sides ready to end the war and ultimately the communists were pushed out and South Korea was saved. The communists were pushed out by allied ground forces not airpower because in the ground attack role the airpower was limited in what it could do because they couldn't see the enemy. At the Chosin Reservoir the US Marines were out numbered 6-1 and fought off the Chinese and air support was limited . In Vietnam the American ground forces still had to engage enemy forces in close quarters battle because at times the enemy was so close airpower couldn't be used. Even when airpower was available a lot of the time it could only soften up a Position the infantry still had to take the ground just like when the 101st airborne took hamburger hill in 1969. American units in the battle of the bulge in world war Two had no air support and fought well even when outnumbered. There are plenty of examples of US units fighting well without air support.   43.  @hkfoo3333  No it's not a fact clown the first attack they were capturing the city but the Iraqi government asked to call off the attack because of civilian casualties. Later in the year Fallujah had become such a problem the Iraqi government gave the US the green light to clear it out and they did. They didn't flatten the buildings with airpower they were all intact when they went in. The marines and army units went in with armoured vehicle support and cleared it out building by building. The fighting was infantry intensive supported by artillery.

The Russians can't do anything without airpower and neither can any other modern military. In world war Two who ever won in the air won on the ground and that went for all sides involved in the war

  50. Yes even when Russia takes the Donbas it doesn't mean they win the war the Ukrainian people hate Russia for what they have done and they could easily transition to an insurgency which will be well armed and effective as long as the west keeps supporting them
