She was just defending herself through and through. China, on the other hand, was the shameless turncoat that joined the US backstabbing both the USSR and Vietnam just for some stinking bones from the US which was the common enemy of the whole communist bloc.

Because of that debacle and its evil actions of helping Pol Pot and getting into bed with the US against Vietnam, China wanted to bury it for good and hide that part of history from the general population. They gave help in materials, financial, weaponry, and directly involved militarily to defeat Japanese forces in China for China. Those are facts! Without the USSR, how could China defeat the Kwantung Army of Japan in Manchuria? They gave China Manchuria so how can you say they took it?! The US gave grants and loans value in billions dollars today so China could buy modern weapons to fight the Japanese. US' bombing raids of Japanese positions in China helped it tremendously too so how can you say they never helped?! What an ingrate!

Vietnam lost millions in the war but here you are bragging about 1000 dead Chinese! LOL! One single US' dog, S Korea, already had 5 times more dead and more than twice injured than you Chanks! S Korea had over 300,000 participated too but all in combat operations. So you Chanks were even below S Korea in the level of importance in term of human resources! In term of financial 'help', the US had spent 1 trillions in today dollar but here you are bragging about China's $20 billions! And whatever China 'helped', not only did it took all back, it also took from Vietnam much more when it destroyed them all in the decade long war at the border in 1979, by its support of Pol Pot in his war against Vietnam, its robbing of Vietnam's islands, its economic and diplomatic isolation of Vietnam and Cambodia one decade after 1978. So actually, China owes a lot from Vietnam, not the other way around! Vietnam had a very bad experience when Chinese got involved in the battle of Dien Bien Phu and the following Geneva Conference in 1954, so she didn't allow them to do so in the war with the US. The only thing Chinese WERE ALLOWED to do in that war were building and maintaining infrastructures at the areas near the border and defending them. They were forbidden to participate in any ground combat and air defense deep inside Vietnam, so many of your numbers and stories about combat are fake or exaggerated!

  12. China behavior toward Vietnam is much worse than that of the USSR toward China. China robbed Vietnam islands in 1974, 1988, and attacked Vietnam on land in 1979 and 10 years after that, Ganged up with the US to isolate Vietnam in that period.

If it does, it wouldn't have robbed Vietnam of her islands, attacked her for 10 years at the border, supported Pol Pot who invaded and massacred Viets! Second, China destroyed all of the infrastructure it built during the Vietnam War when it invaded Vietnam in 1979, robbed islands from Vietnam, supported Pol Pot to attacked Vietnam, got into bed with the US and continued to support him after he was deposed by Vietnam and isolate Vietnam and the non-Pol Pot Cambodia, so China did much more damage to Vietnam than it 'helped', so you should s tf u about China's 'help'!

Didn't the US absolutely control the air in Afghanistan, a lot more so than in Vietnam?! LOL! And Korea and Vietnam War are very different. First, N Korea directly crossed the 38th parallel and attacked the South in the first place so the US could argue that N Korea started the war and was the aggressor so it could obtain the UN's mandate and went all in. In Vietnam's case, N Vietnam didn't cross the 17th parallel and start an all out war against the Saigon regime in the first place, so the US' involvement didn't have a UN's mandate. US troops had illegally entered S Vietnam, it's hard to push it any further Second, even if the US ignored all the laws, it still couldn't invade the North from the beginning or any other period. Because, in Korea's case, the Seoul regime had successfully established control over the whole South Korea before the war, so when the US went north later, it didn't have to worry about the rear. In Vietnam's case, throughout the war, the US and Saigon regime could only control the cities and big towns in the South, the rest was either in the hand of the NLF or heavily contested, so how could it go north with its rear widely exposed?! N Korea was beat back because it got its rear exposed at Inchon, do you know about that? AND, Not only the Saigon regime couldn't gain control over the rural area, but it also really weak. If the US wasn't there right by its side, it wouldn't have any control anywhere! It was about to collapse all by itself in 1964 if US' forces didn't jump in to hold it up with both hands! The whole time being present there, the US was trying to keep it afloat and pacify the South but couldn't succeed, so how could it go anywhere else?! In another word, the US didn't even successfully invade S Vietnam, how t f could it invade the North?! You think you're smarter than the US' elite who ran the show at the time?! You think they didn't think about that or wanted to lose on purpose?! LOL!

This basic principle has been well known since ancient time! US' forces just can't go north when they can only control 2/5 of the South and facing 250,000 NLF's troops that they just cannot eradicate there. They can go north in the Korean War because they had completely pacified South Korea. There was nothing like the NLF in South Korea. In fact, North Korea was beat back because it let its rear exposed to only 40,000 US' troops at Inchon.

It orders the US government to create wars to feed them. About the antiwar movement: in order to have a big enough anti war movement to stop a war, there must be enough casualties. There must be a lot of coffins coming home, and in turn there would be a draft! At the high of the Vietnam War, there were 700-800 coffins and 6 times of that wounded coming home a week to fuel the anti war movement red hot. So the root cause was always the hard fight of the Viets. There were anti war protests sprung up in the US right at the start of the Iraq War, but it died down very quickly because there weren't enough coffins coming home and so there was no draft and so nobody cared!

Before China attacked Vietnam in 1979, Vietnam was very busy dealing with the Khmer Rouge in the South. All of the experienced units had been busy fighting the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia since 12/1978, so why must Vietnam attack China to open a second front on her back?! The truth is China has made up stories, lame excuses to attack Vietnam hoping to scare Vietnam to withdraw from Cambodia and rescue its tool, the Khmer Rouge. Vietnam didn't withdraw because of China! We withdrew because we finally defeated the Khmer Rouge and the new Cambodian government could stand on itself. China started attacking Vietnam in 1979 and had continued doing so for 10 years afterward and Vietnam didn't withdraw from Cambodia until her objective had reached in 1989! So China could do nothing to help its murderous Khmer Rouge tools here! They're completely wiped out in Cambodia!
