  7. when we look at these maps there is a diffrent response to diffrent people, lets try and analise them and try to predict their outcomes long term the humanist might see this and say ''look at how many people there are, humans are more interconnected, more wide spread and more developed than ever before, how wonderfull'' the enviromentalist might see this and say ''look at how many people there exist, how can the enviroment deal and sustain such people? how horrible what can we do to prevent long term damage to nature?'' the globalist might see this and say ''look at how far we have gotten as a species, all this interconnected and trade relations must be good for humanity and human civilization overal'' the nationalist might see this and say ''look how many people exist in the world, who knows when massive waves of migrants and refugees may come to our shores if they can no longer sustain this growth, we must defend what's ours no matter what'' all these viewpoints in my opinion have some merrit and truth to them, some people like it, some people hate it, some people view it as progress, others as evil, some as unsustainable but in all cases it seems we as a species have no controle over how civilization develops, we can't stop growing, we can't stop reproducing and those that don't reproduce will find themselves being replaced or swarmed by those that do, such is the way of nature and human behavior. thus I ask you what will become of us in this dynamic? what future awaits us? who is right? who is wrong? do you disagree on moral grounds? pragmatic grounds? or ideologicaly grounds? is this good or bad? idk but I don't think the outcome will be as great as some people think, nor as evil as some imagine.

I would say the USA kinda forced them shut and now the USA is weakening we have to open them again, the fact that Europes strongest economy and industry (Germany) is not allowed to have a strong army is one of the main reasons why Europe can't defend itself, it all comes down to smaller nations with less economic might or industry as well as opposing domestic issues.

  19.  @vtron9832  China was first united under the Qin dynasty, has tried and failed to take over mongolia, had to block it off with huge walls, which failed when China was invaded by the mongols by going through the Gobi dessert, China had waged war on Vietnam for many centuries, for many centuries China was isolated because it already had taken over so much land and commited itself to sinosation of the governed lands, during communism they invaded and annex Tibet which they see as part of their historical empire of the past, during the korean war they aided and helped sustain the north koreans in the conflict. During the vietnam war between the USA and Vietnam they send sovjet weapons to the communists there. China historically was the imperial empire of the world for centuries, so what are you talking about? Perhaps you refer to the colonial period when China was in deep isolationism and got crushed by the collonial european powers and Japan started to modernize and sought to collonise the Chinese lands years later?

Colonies were more of an extra, the cherry on top of the civilization, running colonies cost money and don't always bring a positive return.

  41. That's the status quo, this project is for the belt and road which seeks to make an alternative to US naval supremacy, will it work? Unlikely in the long run but it can fortify Chinese interests and the USA can't do anything about it, it also offers a little bit of independence from the USA for Europe.

  45.  Pixel Smile  uhhhh he's not incorrect a bit crude for sure but what he's saying is not incorrect at all, Africa has not have many nobel prizes for chemistry or technology and has copied parts of both the worst and best ideas of the west which is why some african nations are doing better than others. I don't think there is any shame in that, many parts of the world are less developed then others, just compare parts of eastern Europe to western Europe, or south vs north america, China used to be one of the poorest nations on earth now they are almost a super power. I think pretending like you can't learn from people you disagree with is a true sign of ignorance but perhaps im unaware of any great inventions or technologies developed by africans on the continent of africa, please do enlighten me if you can.

  50. Russia has problems, mostly caused by sanctions by the USA and mono-economic model based on mostly resource and energy exports. Under Putin Russia had made a big comeback and they are trying to reform which is difficult when the USA is attacking your main form of national income.
