  1. Does it ever get depressing working on on really beyond road worth usefulness. Scarey bad junk..scarey that this kind of junk is out on the roads. Germany doesn't even have dirty cars we are the greatest...lowest standards for sure. Does fla have inspections it seem vehicle owners there are beyond clueless

  2. When you change oil in so many brand vehicles,how can the oil you have fit all brands of vehicles...each maker has different specs not just weight. Ie vw within different model years,have vw 502 504 505,507 etc...all oils don't meet all makers specs,gm porsche,etc. It pertains to emissions,detergent propertys,etc. I use mostly motul or liquid moly. Within those brands,there are different specs for different cars,in different versions of same weight

  5. VW fixed the regulator issues, my VW and Audi had the issues, 15 years ago or more. Audi made a fix better with the nylon slider that was the issue, by putting metal insert into the nylon slier, no need to replace entire regulator, like ya did on the VW models, permanent fix. VW had issues with the nylon slider i replaced many regulators on a few VW models. factory finally fixed, as my last 3 newer GTIs and current Golf R no issues, they solved the problem in the regulators. 17+ VW products since 1987 never left, current Golf r 2019 stick is the best one yet 88K fun no issues fun, and comfortable, fantastic all around car golf R stick of course.

  10. My 2.0L T 2019 never uses a drop between 10k changes I am at 58K miles or more now...use the correct VW spec oil, never an issue. And it's not just the weight numbers, lot more involved in oil specs...i use Motul, or Liqui Moly...

  14. Chrysler may finally be done, as Stalantis is looking into getting rid of several failed brands, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, all junk, for decades. How it has stayed in business this long is truly amazing. This will be your never ending nightmare, you will wish you never touched, lesson learned, never do freebies, ever

  15. When not in use it is a VIOLATION to have a hitch rotruding past the bumper, if you look at where the mount is, just flush with bumper , with a cover when not in use. A trailer hitch protruding is a hazard, when not in use to pedestrians and for rear collisions, ever wonder why they are made to be REMOVED when not in use.....DOT SAE rules

  19. You ground off the nickel coating on the ground lug down to bare copper..copper turns green corrosion nickel plating keeps it from not corroding. Mistake....shoukd have just cleaned with cleaner and cloth

  21. VW manual even mentions different tires on axles, due to different traction characteristics of various tires, they frown on , different tires, it messes up traction control, and ABS.

  22. most condensers are this way. I have never had one fail, ever, in dozens of VWs i have had over the last 40+ years. this is a low quality part, that corrode the fins off, they where not attached correctly, rocks would dent the tubing if hit hard enough.

  28.  @ricktalbott9611  The East Penn facility in Pa is GIGANTIC, it's a little city, I've done work in their lab equipment. top quality stuff, East Penn produces like over 30 million batterys a year, a few sites, and in other countries too, a PRIVATE company, great stuff. In my HD, they make OEM, and Benz OEM supplier, I have them in my honda generators too. Deka, pay less for top quality stuff

  32. Fein, Knipex,Whia, Wera...better yet. Milwaukee is good stuff, others are GREAT. Milwaukee has gone Chinese on too much of their stuff.

  34. Ouch, I can see metal shavings flying out of the groove, you basically destroyed the groove mating surface. not good. then you blow all the rest into the pan, under the tray. Wow, this is not a good day. Did you brake kleen the train from all that debris?

  35. Not prudent. If it doesn't meet mfg specs,you will have issues. Vw g13,g13,g12+,not the whacko ,do it all. No such thing with coolant or motor oils

  36. No such thing as life of the vehicle coolant. Lies. Stuff lasts very long but should be replaced 100k or so,flushed,like brake fluid. With oem spec meeting stuff not mystery fluids or dumb claims stuff,or generic fits all.

  38. Does amsoil have ford spec on the label? Different engines have different metalurgy,means all oil is not universal just like coolants. One example vw 2.0t is different in a gti versus especially golf r. The block is actually a different metals blend on a similar block its actually shown in the castings. Which is why coolants,oils are not one blend is good for all. If it where so,then all mfgs. Would all use one type,they don't which is why there are so many different specs on same weight of oils,and transmission fluids

  42.  @iused2bfast153  I have NEVER had a compressor clutch wear out in over 17+ VW's and all into 200,000 + miles, one Jetta VR6 GLX at 316,000 had the original compressor all the time, never a clutch issue. Compressors come on to alway keep the compressor lubed during non use months

  47.  @ryans413  on new vehicles here in n.j. cars get 4 year dealer inspection sticker....and they take 3 year registration fee...after the 4 years it's every two years...no fee inspection at state agencys...its part of the registration fee. In pa,they pay for yearly inspections at private facility's. All they look for now is emissions and exhaust and tampering with cat converters
