  1. @Lucy Bubz The African continent is home to resident populations of most of what people call the human races/breeds/genotypes. Only in the US the term African refers specifically to people descended from Bantu ethnic groups. The church I used to attend had an assistant pastor whose husband was from Tanzania. He really didn't think much of most African-Americans he came into contact with.

  2. @Lucy Bubz Plus large areas of Sub-Saharan Africa used to be populated by the San people. The great Bantu migration wound up pushing whatsxleft of them into places like the Kalahari. In addition East Africa is not populated by ethnic Zulus. I find it mildly amusing when African-Americans want to learn Swahili when it's an East African lingua franca used as a trade language and their descended from slaves from West Africa.

To my knowledge nobody ever tried to actively convey the message that all Egyptians looked like British or Hollywood film actors from the 40s, 50s or 60s. Regardless of how one feels about various religous sects within Cristianity or other religions. If one does believe in individual freedom then one must respect the rights of those other individuals. There are a couple of buts here of course. The first is those individuals must respect your rights. The second is those other beliefs, political persuasions etc cannot infringe on the rights of others. PS Given Labour's policies Guy Fawlke might be held up as a hero.

  6. I really don't care if Neaneerthal had heavily melanated skin or not. The same goes for Cheddar Man or the Old European Hunter Gatherers. Heavily Melanated skindoesnot mean they were culturally like Sub Saharan Africans. When l was a wee sprout the neighbor across the street came home after being stationed for two years in Libia. He was tanned darker than a lot of so called blacks. In my opinion the only way to judge the actual state of a persons normal skin color is at birth or areas on their body that never sees the direct sunshine.

  7. Why is it left leaning individuals will never listen to what people say. If a terror group advocates genocide or ethnic cleansing they get a pass or it is ignored. There are other similar cases. When the civil war (1) in Sudan became news worthy the left largely ignored it. Why? I suspect because they did not have a European derived nation or ethnic group to feel enraged about.

  9. What you fail to realize is that Pathě Newsreela were all part of the insideous plot to hide the "true" nature of the diverse genetic make up of British society at the time. One thing that needs to explained to immigrants to tolerant societies is that if you expect (and demand of) us to be tolerant of you is that we expect and demand that you be tolerant of us. It is not a one way street. Otherwise go back to whatever third world shit hole you came from.

  16. Its a video game. They can make up what ever they want. The problem arises with people so shallow they accept it as reality. The same with Britian has Always Been a Nation of Immigrants. To a degree that's true. Over the last few millennia there have been a few waves of immigration into Britain (and back and forth between Britian and Ireland). The early Celts probably moved in and changed the previous Bell Beaker culture. The Angles, Jutes and Saxons immigration certainly changed the culture of Southern England. As did Danes and Norwegians in the North. The Normans certainly put their own veneer over Britain. But in each of these immigrations the native population was never pushed aside. Languages may have have changed. Religions changed starting with Christian Romans. But the immigrations were more like close genetic cousins moving in next door.

  19. One could well be a great "writer" and be illiterate. The bards/poets/story tellers that sung the stories that come down to us as the Illiad for example certainly qualify in my opinion. This woman may well have been amazingly skilled at telling her lifes story. But we do not know that for an absolute fact. She may well have 5old her story to another who embellished the facts. She may well be a composite of different women. I'm to the point where something may sound plausible but to accept it as an absolute fact there need to be seperate verifiable sources. Sources that do not rely on each other for support.

On both sides of the political spectrum (1). Maxine Waters, AOC and others come to mind. 1) The whole idea of Left and Right is nonsense anyway. It implies that any political figure that is on one side of an issue is onboard with the whole stance of the Left or Right. In reality any of the Cartesian Co-ordinate Political charting systems whether in 2 dimensions or 3 do a better job of actually defining overall political stances.

  33.  @DaBriars  Welcomed? Maybe some places. Certainly not where my Irish ancestors went. Plus they were never given a roof over their head and food in their mouths. Plus they realized even with the prejudice against them they had to assimilate into the larger society. How many of today's immigrants are willing to do that. I don't expect immigrants to Ireland, Britain, the US, France or any other Western countries to turn into culturally perfect copies of the Irish or anyone else. But the immigrants should not expect Ireland or any other country to turn into the nation they fled. One of the Central American presidents has stated the problems of wide spread massive immigration is to a large degree the fault of the countries the migrants are fleeing from. The fault lies in that these countries have failed their own citizens. Are their problems all their fault? No they aren't. Some of their problems can be traced to US interference. Just as some nations problems can be traced to economic policies they attempted and could not afford. Or implement properly.

I have my own problems to deal with. 2) Just when are the Brits going to finally say, "great, we'll let you carry on with your ceremonial duties* but only if you get to do it at the pay rate of a medium rank Civil Servant.   41. The first really successful steam powered flight happened in the early 1930s. A two cylinder double expansion steam engine was fitted to a proven airframe and flown. Simply to prove it could be done. Where the Wrights really succeeded was in their use of wind tunnel data. Which let them refine their wing design. And their propeller design. Their wind tunnel data proved that the lift and drag data that other experimenters were using was wrong. Look at the early attempts and the propellors they used. Crude creations of wood and fabric. The ones the Wrights developed approach the efficency of modern props. The Wrights really did invent contolled usable flight.

In the US some ethnicities once they could afford a single or multifamily home would look at the space devoted to a front or rear lawn and immediately tearout any lawn and devote it to vegetable gardens. Italians used to be known for this. Not a problem in my book as long as it is kept up. Used to grow a lot of our own vegetables and some fruits ourselves. But building over every square foot or meter of lawn/garden space does something else. In warmer weather l can be outside looking after the flower beds out front. And when l take short break in the backyard it feels about 5 to 10° F cooler simply because of two large shade trees. This is another benefit of what l call private green space. The down side is clean up in the Fall. But as to private vegetable gadens. There is now a movement, at least in the US to seek to eliminate them as some see them as "contributing to excessive greenhouse gases due to their lack of efficiency". If l wished l CV ould cut down my shade trees, tear out the lawn and convert it all to growing vegetables. Maybe l would not be self sufficent but it would go a long way towards eating better in the Summer and Fall. Nothing like a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich made with lettuce and tomatoes you just picked.
