calling a guy who cleaned two weight divisions a joke is the real joke.
1
lmao you clearly dont know what you are talking about.Learn first how boxing is scored and how judges based their judgment round by round. It should be EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION,not only aggression. You dont need to knockdown your opponents just to dethrone a champion. All you need to do is win 7 rounds which bud clearly did.
1
@SuperTramp_29 it was a very close fight and most rounds were very competetive...i agree with you. 7-5 for bud is very reasonable.
1
bud is a special fighter...going up two weightclasses and beating the champ has been done more than a few times...canelo can be outboxed and has difficulty against really good outboxers and crafty, technical fighters...let that sink in.
1
was close but he clearly didnt win the fight.
1
crawford by split decision...
1
@derwintomlinson9193 lmao nonsense. the fact that bud is going up two weightclasses and fighting probably the hardest hitter there makes your statement absurd.
1
@busyinyahawahwayahawashi5369 how come bud cant take a punch when bud never got dropped with a punch?
1
@Wakandafheva you dont know boxing..ur clearly a fanboy.
1
@FernandoMosqueda-xb7fx lmao bud never got knocked down by mean machine.
1
@themarathoncontinues2289 no...only fanboys who know nothing bout the sport will agree with you.
1
@tedunseth3966 true...bud could be fighting at his natural weight. Not losing those extra pounds could be good for him. I can see bud winning as well. We'll see...
1
@ defense, ring generalship, and effective aggression are some of the criteria but it still boils down to clean effective punches which judges mainly based their scoring.
1
@ poor boy just exposes himself more that he clearly got very poor undersatnding of the sport...boxing is mainly scored and juddged based on clean effective punches.Just because the other guy landed more doesnt mean he automatically won the round cause again boxing is based on clean effective punches.
1
@ """Started too late? I had Madrimov ahead 5-0 after 5 rounds. Bud was confused, couldn't let his hands go. Madrimov kept landing that straight right, clean shots over and over."""...super delusional comment lmao.
1
@Marco855-z7x how will you know who won a close competetive fight when you dont even know the basis of judging a fight and how it is scored in the first place? lmao
1
@ you make zero sense at all. You clearly dont know much about the sport. Bud won a belt at 154 against a guy who has got a very solid amateur background who campagined mostly at middleweight. That showed that bud can hang in with a naturally bigger guy. Of course madrimov aint the same level as canelo cause he only got very few professional fights but canelo doesnt have madrimov's feints and all around movements.Your boy canelo already got losses and can be outboxed so never think he is unbeatable okay? lmao
1
@ lmao effective aggression, defense and ring generalship but at the end of the day it is mainly based on clean effective punching. I mean when did you start watching boxing lmao...
1
@Marco855-z7x lmao your statements clearly proves you dont know much...stop pretending. I know your kind.
1
@Tdel04 VICTOR ORTIZ? LMAO
1
@nkululekomyeza306 you dont know how boxing business and politics work. Cause madrimov is a champion at 154 while bud already cleared out and left 147. Try thinking first before commenting.
1
@Marco855-z7x not really...im always basing on facts and logic.
1
@gustavofontalba true but it clearly showed ortiz got hit more than bud.
1
@erosbeltran3544 if amateur fights dont mean much then how come fighters like loma, rigondeax, bivol, beterbiev or even madrimov compete at a high level in just few fights?
1
@erosbeltran3544 that is not how boxing works. madrimov being competetive to bud and another hungry young lion in ortiz just shows how good he is even with only 11 fights.
1
@ lmao you clearly dont know what you are talking about. Bud been a pound for pound fighter for almost a decade. He is there cause he deserved to be there. It's not just who he beat but it is the way he beat them with great skills and dominance.Bud been avoided for years by pbc fighters where many top rated welterweights belong.Saying bud's resume is thin is pure ignorance of the sport.Bud fought who needed to be fought which are the ones holding the belt making him undisputed in two weight classes and champ in four weightclasses.Amateurs still matters much cause that is where boxers hone their skills. European boxing is solid that is why some of them like the guys i mentiones are already competing at a high level even just in a few professional fights. Madrimov fought really well vs bud and ortiz considering he only got 11 professional fights. But you'd rather take something from bud cause clearly you are a fanboy.
1
@ nope im not a bud buddy but a true fan of the sport. I dont need to discredit vergil so i can make a point about bud.To answer your question, it would be hard to find a fifty fifty fight for bud cause his skiills are way too superior.Just like floyd did. Bud was i think had a fifty fifty fight vs gamboa and spence and he dismantled both of them.Arum cant even give terrrence the pacman fight how much more the pbc fighters? Bud signed an extension because of course money and arum's promise that he would make the spence fight.Bud left toprank for the very reason...what you are thinking is very childish. Fighters whose got the mentalit ylike bud doesnt think that way. Bud was always looking for the best fights available. Just like now, he is moving two weight classes to fight probably the biggest puncher at 168 so what you are saying doeswnt make any sense.
1
@ bud hasnt been fighting pfp fighters for a decade? didnt bud just beat fellow pound for pound fighter spence two years ago?...how will bud fight pound for pound fighters when there isnt much in his weightclass? isnt bud just going up two weightclasses to fight canelo?
1
@ your statement just goes to show how poor your understanding of the sport. Why would bud fight benavidez who literally is a 175 pounder now when he can fight canelo both for money and legacy? I mean canelo doesnt even fight benavidez and they are on the same weightclass. Lmao spence only got overrated the moment bud dismantled him but before the fight, guys like you said spence would break bud. Still, you are wrong saying bud never fought a pound for pound fighter.Mickey garcia? lmao. It's mikey you casual.Mikey was a good solid fighter himself so you cant just expect him to get annihilated by spence but for sure he was outclassed. Mikey was already a champion at 140 so saying mikey moved up two weightclasses is kinda inaccurate.Only bud haters would ever say bud avoided these fighters. Bud only avided them when he was already the man at 147, not when bud was with toprank. You clearly got logical issues.
1
@ poor boy you helding bud in such a high standards but wont set the same standards on your favorite fighter. Boxing is a business. Bud is in a position to get the biggest money in his boxing career and you want him to fight 154 pounders instead who cant give him the same money and legacy fighting canelo. If the canelo fight wasnt realistic then bud would have been fighting the 154 pounders but the opportunity presented itself and who would not want to get the biggest payday of their boxing career considering bud is on his way out?
1
@ Lmao but mikey was already a 140 pound champion but you still made it seem he was a lightweight. He was the one calling spence out. Nah name me a credible boxing personality that says bud is ONLY FIGHTING FOR THE MONEY. Bud is fighting both for money and legacy. Bud is a special fighter and he doesnt think the way you casuals and fanboys think. He is coming to fight and beat canelo.Crawford's resume is great.Pound for pound for almost a decade, undisputed in two weightclasses, champion in four weightclasses, dominating opposition, knocking all welterweights he fougt...again, only haters would not see this resume as a great one.
1
@ lmao you clearly got poor reasoning skills bro. You are clearly a fanboy not a true fan of the sport.Again, why would bud fight benavidez or janibek when he can fight guys at 154 for the same money? He is fighting canelo two weight classes up cause of the money involved.I know bud beat all the beltholders at 140 making him undisputed. That what matters. You fight the ones holding the belt. Of course the quality of opposition matters but bud fought who needed to be fought and dominated them wether they are ordinary champions or pound for pound fighter like spence. They all end up the same getting dominated or knocked out. There are levels to greatness but bud certainly showed greatness. Only haters cant see that one.
1
@ lmao anybody who thinks logically and factually will never say that very absurd statement cause clearly it didnt happened that way. Bud was looking for the big fights at 147 just like he did at 135 and 140 but it so happen that he was with toprank and all the other top rated welterweights were with pbc. He finally got his break and became the man at 147 when he dismantled spence. Right now at 154, he is clearly the man to beat. He is in great position not like in 147 that he was the one begging for the fights. He finally got the canelo fight. Good for him.
1
@ that is because bud isnt an ungrateful person. Bob arum build up his career. You just dont leave a promoter like that so that is maybe he gave him a chance but still arum was not able to make the spence fight. He is in great position right now cause he knocked out spence easy who was a fellow top pound for pound fighter and simply cause bud is a great fighter, not because turki took a liking on him. That is too childish thinking.
1
@ i agree on that.
