@edmonddantes3066 The Constitutional connection is that the First Amendment was put in there to protect the Baptists of Pennsylvania who were afraid of the Episcopalians of New England.

@elkslayer7399 Your problem with shooting an elk at 1,000 yards is probably that five other hunters are likely to get to it before you do. 👺 The good news about elephant guns is they're getting used less and less: people are waking up to the fact that elephants are as intelligent as humans if not perhaps a wee bit more, and maybe there's stiill time for us to start treating them like fellow-citizens. 😎😍😁

The countries that follow science are in better shape than the country that follows a pillow salesman, a game-show host, and a bunch of right-wing religious groups. The end.
1
The swamp "may actually be worse"? A low energy lie, I guess. It's badly worse, fella.

There's something about this photography and shade thingie. Next to this excellent photographer's good stuff there's been one other. Prime Minster Trudeau's gift to Twump at one point was a framed photograph: the President's grandfather's whorehouse in the Canadian Yukon.

Lemme get this straight. Trump has taken two weeks off from the White House to play golf in Bedminster, New Jersey. Except for when he's holding rallies, uh, almost every day?
1
Does the Statute of Limitations apply to Clarence Thomas's perjuries at his confirmation hearings?
1
Successfully maintains an image of a decent guy. Still serves a reactionary, pro-wealthy, pro-Russian, anti-people program in Congress. Good for a Republican is still bad for the average American.

The Spiritual Danger of Donald Trump: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ0wFbPryM0 A variety of American Evangelicals' views.

How was temporarily not being a pirate "a deal"?
1
@2WITnessESN1 No -- and I'm sure you know that's idiotic. Covid is a genuine disease and the vaccines are a relatively effective protection against it. Pull yourself together and function, OK?
1
"The legendary Larr' Kudl and the legendary John bolton..." Bwaaa-ha-ha-ha. "reciprocal, meaning `the same'" Thank you teecher.
1
Can somebody please tell poor Stephen Moore that his inability to understand something is not an argument, it's a confression. So he can't understand? Why is this news?
1
"No collusion"? It's conspiracy.

😒😢

Darrell, Point One: I watch MSNBC and CNN (and ver-ree rarely Fox) and I knew about thebodies being returned and the ongoing hostage problems in two places -- so they were covered. Your accusation is incorrect. Point Two: They are both fairly minor stories, comparable to a traffic accident someplace, except as they are diplomatic payola in the larger stories of Turkey, Syria, and Korea. These larger stories get zero or poor coverage on Fox/Trump TV because Cannel Fox/Hannity/Trump is rightwing "reality" entertainment, not really news. Good luck. With the false "news" you're living on, you'll need it.

The arms race.

Erin, Putin shooting his mouth off is not any threat "from one superpower to another." It is a threat from a punk, a punk who reads a lot of comic books it is now apparent. Russia is Wyoming with nukes, and I pick Wyoming only because their conservatives happen to be from Klan stupid, the sort of conservatives who would vote against Liz Cheney. Putin, ("Peron" in Russian) is dangerous -- the way a rabid dog is dangerous, and we must be both careful and determined in getting him under control. This will need a steely avoidance of delusions. Russia as a superpower is a delusion.

Trump failed dor four years to win any trade at all.
1
@MyDogsDead Hate the lies, pity poor sad little Trump. A tiny person in a lunky oversized body. Look at the numbers at conservative Real Clear: https://new-www1.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/#! Trump, Pence, losers.
1
He doesn't have any executive privilege. He's a private citizen, just like you, me, or the beggar in the street.
1
If you use the map I suggest, you've got a plan B when he gets it wrong, "Pretty good, Mr. President. SEATO is sorta like NATO." As for his cock, Billy, I think the answer is, Depends.
1
Marcie, A lot of kids here struggling with real issues and doing it very badly through entirely misguided, cultic, authoritarian, nonsensical views of Scripture, imho.
1
@blanketyblank604 The American Evangelical God, that is. You know, the guy you send in all the money to, ad sometimes you get a prayer towel or a pamphlet back. 88% of Georgia Evangelicals voted for Herschel Walker. Not a Christian in the bunch.
1
Haberman is one of the good ones, a real pro. Smart, honest, and firmly grounded in good sense and sound morals. Damn but we need her and a few more like her!

Makes Trump crazy to think about a genuine billionaire -- a guy who actually made a fortune by building a company, instead of inheriting his father's and grandfather's and pi$$ing it all away. Trump isn't just a dead-beat. He hasn't hit bottom yet because when he pulled those six bankruptcies in New York and Atlantic City he was kept afloat personally through the kindness of strangers. he screwed his family, his backers, and his shareholders for upwards of $1.9 billion -- but getting debts forgiven is a form of income. One of these days he has to declare that income, and when he does he's going to be hit for taxes on it and twenty years of penalties and interest. Deadbeat? Meet the White House Zombie-beat.
1
@patrickb2458 Four more years of Trump means a generation of stone-age reactionaries on the bench everywhere.
1
Gates is waaa-ay optimistic on the dangers of climate change, it seems to me. Even a single year of Asia missing the annual monsoon would cost tens of thousands of deaths. If the Monsoon as a phenomenon or the Greenland ice-cap were to vanish -- both very real possibilities far earlier than Bill seems to assume -- the deaths start in the tens of millions, and long-term threaten billions, an appreciable fraction of the human race. We have had die-backs in the past, through disease in Europe in the 14th century, the loss of more than 4/5ths of the natives of the Americas from smallpox, massive fractions of whole peoples when the Sassanid dams failed in the early Arab years. We may be looking at the same thing again now.
1
@gottagowork You're blithering. Social democracy is socialism and vice versa. They're the same thing.
1
Something tells me some people in New York and California didn't want this guy running in Iowa.
1
@teresaellis895 Very competent bunch, Teresa. Full employment, lowest inflation in the industrial world, and no stupid wars going on -- except for Trump's ill-advised War on Chinese Trade.
1
I love that a fine scientific mind mentions both "consistent" and "accurate." It's obvious and appropriate once you think about it, but us ordinaries can forget that important little fact...
1
@tj8448 "Longest and most expensive" just means they ran around in circles for a long, expensive, time not catching him. The FBI then sent a couple of guys out to pick him up after his sister-in-law phoned in on him.
1
Trump has been running as Putin's bitch for six years now. It's a feature, not a fault.
1
Woman doesn't seem to know the difference between a million and a billion. It's only a matter of a thousand-fold, one of those little 99.9% errors. Hope they don't put her on the budgt beat -- at least until she learns about trillions. Also maybe dollars and cents. Or pounds and pence. Whatever.
1
Trump's debts from Atlantic city have been carefully placed with anonymous and complaisant creditors. They have never been paid. That means they are debt forgiven to Trump, and debts forgiven are taxable income. The Statute of Limitation doesn't apply because he commits the same crime every time he files a tax return.
1
@rachellecormier6943 👍 but it's "u" 🤣
1
@Thomas Butler Biden is normally sound guy -- with the high level of intelligence of any successful professional. Sorry, not a "stable genius." But I guess every horse in the stable will be pleased with the change. 😎👍
1
Congratulations to both the Trumps, Donnie and Dopey Junior, on all those checks -- putting themselves firmly in Jussie Smollett's class of half-wit goofball crooks.
1
Lovely lady, but yes, you're right. On the other hand, it would be good to have a whole lot like her doing their apprenticeships and working their way up.
1
Drago Kulic Try WD-40 on your caps-lock key: stop letting your messages make you look like a jerk.
1
Quite right -- for those who ever cared for your "the moral and ethical spiritual teachings of Christ," that is. I'm sure this was some number of Evangelicals. How many? That I don't know.
1
@dollymadison2397 Terri, Whose term is this "NAR" thing? Who uses it to mean what? What distinction is being made here? In particular who are the old and the new being contrasted? Many thanks. -dlj.
1
@yellodread Sorry, what was this damage? My impression was that he was a huge success, making a great impression on Capitol Hill, and getting listed as one of the most influential Christians in the United States? What am I missing?
1
@choicegospelnetwork Trump is not a leader. He is a grifter. Even in his one success in government -- his multi-trillion-dollar give-away to the rich -- he was not a leader: he was a little puppy following along behind Mitch and all the GOP lobbyists of the Swamp. Where do you get your ideas from, Minister Straker, or is it straker? That's a really peculiar thing to believe and say in public.
1
@choicegospelnetwork I had a pretty much five-church-services a week upbringing, but I seem to have missed your "Grab 'em by the pussy" teaching. Lemme guess. Is that something you've read into Revelation? Or are you one of those whacko Mary Magdalene musers?
1
@choicegospelnetwork I have no interest in your Mark Taylor. He hasn't been pushing half-wit right-wing politics in public where they can harm me by leading voters astray. You are responsible for the things you write in public, and you have a responsibility to defend them or delete them.
1
@choicegospelnetwork If you find yourself typing things like "MARK TAYLOR' a lot of the time, try WD-40 on your keyboard. A sticky caps-lock key can make you look even more idiotic than your blasphemous Donald Trump posts already do. I do appreciate the way you lower-case your own name, though. Modesty, I assume, since unlike everybody else you also spell "Jesus" with a lower-case J.
1
@choicegospelnetwork While on the subject of agendas, you seem to be flailing around, inventing beliefs to attribute to me -- and not answering my simple questions: The main one was how do you comport support for the wicked, ignorant, cruel, incompetent and anti-American Donald Trump with your claimed beliefs? You also haven't told me where in Scripture you find that "grab 'em by the pussy" thing.
1
Kneeling is a sign of modesty and supplication. Kneeling during the National Anthem expresses the prayer that America live up to America's values. Period.
