  14. The U.K. does not have a merchant navy. These vessels under threat are registered anywhere but the U.K. to avoid U.K. tax, and they were not even built here. If they are sunk they will not be replaced in U.K. shipyards because we haven’t any. The only people under threat are the RAF and RN personnel, who frankly have no business being there. I look forward to a debate in Parliament as to why our military are being used in this way. As for the army, we no longer have the manufacturing capacity and we have no steel industry unless the Tory government prevents the closure of Scunthorpe and Port Talbot .

What do I know….my company advised staff to “contract out” of national insurance , but when I retired I found my state pension was less, and within a year the company pension scheme became INSOLVENT and now I get a reduced pension under the pension protection scheme. Do I trust businesses ? No.
