A president, or any other politician, doesn't have any control over the price of eggs!

A lot of things can wrong during a pregnancy. And plenty of problems with the fetus or the course pf the woman's pregnancy aren't discovered or don't happen until the second or even the third trimester. It's one of the reasons limits on abortion are a bad idea.
8
We can only hope so. And that they have good aim.
8
These focus groups remind me of that George Carlin joke — "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
8
I was raised to believe that most people are a mixture of good and bad but that many, when surrounded by people who encourage them to be their worst selves, are happy to be their worst selves. That's the belief that is being reinforced to me by MAGA supporters.
8
You need to find better friends.

As long as people keep asking... “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” ― George Carlin
8
Too much of a generalization. That's like blaming all Canadians when Stephen Harper was doing weird and goofy crap.
8
What happens after Donald? Ivanka. The horror - the horror.
8
Reminds me of another killer from Kenosha that got away with murder.

@TKUA11 When it comes to this issue, the only laws that should exist concerning abortion are that the providers be qualified and the facility and devices and/or drugs being used are safe for the woman having the procedure. As for the man being involved, if he's even still in the picture then he should support the woman he's gotten pregnant. But often the man isn't even around anymore when a woman is making the decision with her provider about having an abortion. He doesn't have to help pay for the procedure or be there for her while she's recovering physically and emotionally. That socially accepted lack of responsibility for men is the reality of the masculine utopia we actually live in.

If I were Merrick garland I would either have made sure the documents case had been priority one or I'd be so ashamed of having failed my country and not been the person it needed me to be over these past four years that I'd be looking into changing my name and moving abroad.
8
@carolmanning1333 Of course she's a candidate. Why write something so obviously false? It's like your trying to get someone to report your comment as misinformation.
8
They always lose eventually, but many times enablers and the leaders they enabled can do a lot of damage before they are stopped.
8
At least the devil is honest about who they are.
8
Ukraine should teat any agreement with the US with the same respect and commitment the US has shown for the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances.
8
That's MAGA for you.
7
That's Trump for you. Don't have t be a vet to figure that out. It's both sad and shameful how many vets and/or their families still support Trump.
7
"Welcome to the party, pal!"
7
When it comes to Biden it seems like the mainstream media and talking heads had to find something to endlessly complain about and be nattering nabobs of negativism. I was one of those "Biden sucks vote Biden" people in 2020, but he and his administration have delivered a hell of a lot more than I thought they would and I'll happily vote for him this year.
7
How many millions of people watched the Tyson/Paul fight on Netflix? The argument that we shouldn't romanticize violence is laudable but laughable.
7
please stop trying to be clever, its embarrassing
7
More like he wants obedience and deference to him.
7
The same thing that happened to family values and being the moral majority - it was always BS.
7
Adoration makes a narcissist feel good, but anger makes them feel giddy because they've triggered someone and it makes them feel like they've won something or are superior to the person they've angered.
7
"We have met the enemy and he is us"
7
Ditto

When they talked about degrowth I thought they were going to talk about reducing the number of people in the world. That always seemed like one of the easiest and best ways to help reduce the burden on all kinds of resource systems. IMO many things would be easier and probably better if we could get world population down to around 2 billion people - maybe even only one billion. That's still a hell of a lot of people.
7
I grew up around conservatives and Republicans so I've heard that kind of hate when I was growing up. Racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. It was always being "joked" about when they were together and trying to make each other laugh.
7
Oooooklahoma where the racist killers come sweeping down the plain.
7
NBC has been going down hill for awhile now - this puts them in the gutter.
7
Anyone who enables, supports, and/or votes for a convicted predator who brags about what he can get away with can no longer refer to themselves as decent, moral, or even just good people. Anyone still on team Trump is a bad person - simple as that. I can forgive a lot of things but there has to be a final line where we say NO MORE! What Trump does to women is where I draw my last one. (first time I posted this it got deleted so I'm trying a few alternate words to see if I can get to stay up)
7
Distraction truly is Trump's greatest strength. Nobody is better at distraction than Donald Trump. Distraction and lies -Two! Trump's two greatest strengths are distraction and lies, lies and distraction...and projection. Three!
7
I really enjoy these JVL/A.B. conversations. These two usually give me a good laugh - not so much today but usually. I'm also not buying the results of these polls. And that John McEntee bit makes me think that he should be arrested by the Secret Service who is responsible going after people passing counterfeit money. Federal law prohibits anyone from “forg[ing], counterfeit[ing], or alter[ing] any obligation or security of the United States” (like a five dollar bill) with the “intent to defraud” any other person.
7
@sharonharris9782 I'll bet Gaza was a big part of their anger which isn't uncommon among young college kids. And they probably weren't as engaged with his accomplishments as those of us who have been really paying attention to politics (if you're watching this video I'm guessing you are one of us who are really paying attention to politics).
7
I also STAND WITH GUS WALZ!
7
@kiki__21 That's a sweeping generalization. Many of us had no more real power to make the changes we wanted than you do. And it's not like there haven't been improvements over the past few decades. The question now is will you younger people continue the struggle for a better, more equitable world for everyone and vote to elect those who will keep the progress that has been made. Or will you give in to apathy and blame and let those accomplishments be reversed. By all means - do better than we did. This old man hopes you succeed.

People being upset with Trump but lionizing Reagan are a trip. It's one of the things about many of the folks at the Bulwark that remind why I could never identify as one of them.
6
You can but you shouldn't.
6
Agreed. I enjoy most of the contributor's segments on the Bulwark, but Will's Take is my consistently favorite one of them all.
6
She'll also be congratulated by leaders of allied countries from around the world who are deeply grateful they aren't having to talk to Donald Trump.
6
Imagine the meltdown and freakout we'd be hearing from the MAGA politicians and media outlets if a Democrat did this or even suggested it.
6
Those are the "Black jobs" he talks about. As well as the field hands picking cotton, harvesting crops, and singing old timey spiritual hymns. You know, the time when he and the cult think that America was great.
6
“Corporations are people, my friend,” said Mitt Romney in 2012. Mitt Romney has always been part of the problem, he's just polite about it.
6
Much of what is wrong in the US today can be traced back to the Reagan and his administration and policies.
6
Much to my chagrin I really bought into Tulsi back in 2016. One of those things for which I'll be forevermore embarrassed, damn her.
6
Being an only child I learned how to be alone, and self-sufficiency, at a very young age. best life skills ever.
6
Rudy was always awful. He just got worse when he hooked up with Trump.
6
There is a long list of people that fit that bill standing in front of Rick Wilson. He's done too much damage to ever be that guy.
6
When it comes to abortion I'm pro-life of the mother. Also pro livelihood and general welfare of the mother. A woman's healthcare should be between her and her doctors. If someone doesn't want an abortion they don't have to have one, but there shouldn't be any laws forcing a woman or girl to carry a fetus to term. The courts should only be involved if the doctor has committed malpractice against their patient or some form of fraud, abuse, or other technical violations of their duties or a patients rights like a HIPAA violation.
