"I'm on Assassination Twitter" I'd buy that for a dollar!

You never stop working for the CIA.

Joe got one high a while back and just had him back on recently. Poor old Elon just wants to get back home.
44
Joe Rogan has spent almost 4000 hours interviewing a pretty damned diverse bunch of people over the last few years. I'm not sure what that means, but I suspect at the very least he's gained a very interesting and informed perspective about things.
36
That and they don't want to be Epsteined
33
Breuer's reaction a 7:43 is both very real and priceless.
27
Tim is spitting straight truth! It's like he's channeling Carlin when Carlin was being serious.
20
And that's the problem. Once someone shows themself to be so much of a danger to others that they are convicted of violent a felony it's not unreasonable for other people to not want to have to worry about whether they are going to do something else violent again. I don't believe most people wouldn't want a vicious animal like the piece of trash that killed your grandparents alive let alone living in their neighborhood. Although the other problem is all the people who have been falsely convicted of a felony, or who take a deal for a lesser felony to avoid being falsely convicted of something more serious, and have to live with the kinds of problems of having a felony on their record that Jelly Roll described. Fucked up world.

Creative people are cool but the ones who turn it into reality kick-ass.
16
"Hello Gaza. It's me, Chelsea" - The stuff he comes up with - holy crap!
16
Show off.
15
This Lex Fridman cat is pretty right on. He should have his own podcast.
15
@brentiers bold choice, sir (or madam).
14
"and then we fucked up the end game."" Charlie Wilson - Charlie Wilson's War

Used to play in Austin back in the 90's with my bros. It was a good excuse to go for a walk and get stoned AF while chucking discs. Good times!
14
It was a bad analogy. There are many scientists who make a completely legitimate career out of studying ants and other insects to try and understand them - some who even try to communicate in some way with them. You ever see videos of people waving at a bee and the bee mimics the motion? Come on now - that's weird and maybe even some kind of communication is happening. There's a lot more going on than our current understanding of reality can explain. It's my same problem with atheism even though I effectively an an atheist.
13
I'm waiting for South Park to make Rogan a character on the show.
13
Capitalism would be great if people weren't greedy and willing to let others suffer so they can be a trillionaire and build a moon base.

1:30 - "...when DHS announced a new disinformation governance board" - ah yes, the Ministry of Truth. The MiniTrue is only looking out for your best interest. Just cooperate and obey. You don't want a visit from the Ministry of Love, do you?
9
You got that right. It's a real knife fight out there and Tim Dillon brings a broadsword to that knife fight - and he knows how to use it.

There are times I really wish I could interact with Joe somehow to remind him about an example from his own life that contradicts what he's talking about with a guest. The conversation at around 43:00 about having someone in the audience helping make the audience enjoy your set was something that made Joe's career as a stand up. He's talked more than once about when he was starting at the Comedy Store and the established comedian (can't remember the guys name) that sat down with Mitzi Shore and laughed it up during his set which convinced Mitzi to make Joe a paid regular is kind of an example of what Dubner is suggesting.
9
Hard to be rational in an irrational world
9
HOLY CRAP!! I'm not getting a damn thing done tonight!
8
No idea who she was was, but nine minutes in and I love this guest!
8
She's got a great voice. They sound like they should have performed the music for Justified.
8
I'm thinking Bryan Callen - but only Joe knows.
8
It's content like this why I still listen to Joe's show. Every news outlet should listen to Mr Hughes and stop with their own biased narratives and propaganda.
7
I'd preface that with "The vast majority of..." - there are a few people out there doing it right. I'm sure as hell not one of them, but I'm trying Ringo. I'm trying real hard <hic>.
7
"Like 'two Jews walk into a bar', that kind of a joke?" "Yeah only less offensive"
6
@thejasonknightfiascoband5099 Nah - this joke is so good it needs to be retold over and over again. You're sharing it, my friend - not stealing it.
6
Just don't talk about her crabs.
6
"It's a ticking time bomb - but it's fun until it blows up...you drive it, you blow it up, you rebuild it, then you do it all over again" True of lots of things - metaphorically.
6
<GIF of group of black guys freaking out, guy in middle has a stone-cold expression>
5
"I'm a conspiracy guy but this is exhausting." My thoughts exactly, Mr Dillon. Well said.
5
Elon Musk not knowing about Bob Lazar feels suspiscious. And if they found an alien vehicle at an archeaological dig site I suspect the local government and military would rush in, confiscate everything, and convince any of the civilians there that it would be in their best interest not to talk about any of it.

Humanities Headstone: "Hold my beer"

Would be amazing if they could develop a rapid point of care type of test hunters could carry with them or that they could buy at a ranger station or wildlife conservation station or from mobile check-sites if they harvest an animal that season.
5
@jeremybarbo5309 Just don't call me Boomer - missed it by that much.
5
1:49 - I get the feeling I might see this in a Pingtr1p production at some point.
5
Snake Plissken - HA! Nice ref.
5
@42Mrgreenman - also Samson: I'm going to kill your little Mexican friend Scarface : I'm Cuban, B! Samson: Ahhh, yes! Cuban Bee!
5
Lived in Austin back in the 90's and glad I left in '97. A few more years and I might be able to move out to Cali cause Colorado is just about done.
5
"You're no daisy! You're no daisy at all. Poor soul, you were just too high strung."
5
@Pub2k4 1.21 Gigawatts!?
5
Flamboyantly gay where as Timmy is just living his best life running that fake business empire. Yes or yes?
4
@sludgefactory241 Tim Dillon is a savage and doesn't give a f**k. He's brutally funny about a range of current events and people who put themselves into the public arena to be commented on. Much of the time he goes places and in ways that make me laugh. It's like any other form of art - you know it when you see something that you appreciate. But it's not going to be appreciated or judged the same way by everyone. It's all subjective.
4
@eriklarson9137 Because Joe cared enough to comment on it and suggest or joke that he should shave his head. And for whatever wacky reason hair is still big deal to a lot of people in our society - especially when it's long, unruly, or otherwise unusual. No one ever told me my hair was beautiful or looked good when it was short, but I do get compliments from the ladies when it's long. And think about all the memes about Trump's funky hair style and Boris Johnson's unruly mop top.

Marriage is the legally acknowledged bond between two (usually) people (also usually) that confirms various cultural and codified rights, responsibilities and status upon the individuals who are being bound together. I would hope that for anyone outside of the whole "arranged marriage" tradition, people would get married because they are in love with each other and want to spend their lives together. Children might be birthed or adopted into the marriage but they don't have to be to still have a happy, productive and successful marriage If anything, a lot of people used to and probably still do get married is because the guy got his girlfriend pregnant. And I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of the people who get divorced are couples like that who got married because they or their parents decided they would try to raise the kid.

"Whose Immune Systems?" "Our Immune Systems!"
4
It's all connected. In fact, we may all be the same being just trying to figure itself out. All the good and bad we do to each other and ourselves is simply part of that learning process, but we should still do our best to be excellent to each other - Party on dudes and dudettes!
