  15. It sounds like they are certainly big on the passion but the lining up of full financing seems to be their weak point. I guess it's a Chinese spin on "build it and they will come", sort of "make a really swell tabletop model of it and dig a hole and they will finance".

  18. What you say makes a lot of sense. Since dams have to do what dams have to do and weather is not predictable, the only solution would be to quit building cities in floodplains. It would seem that when a major flood wipes out a city that they would rebuild the city on higher ground. But they don't. They build the city right back where it was, I guess believing "well, that will never happen again".

  31. I ran a microwave, frig, VCR, and a crock pot in mine. I'd stop and get a chunk of beef, gravy mix, and some potatoes, put it in the crock pot, duct tape the lid down in case of a sudden stop and it cooked all day while I drove. I finally would stop and eat because the smell was driving my crazy. @ettcha

  45. The way I understand it, all land in China belongs to the CCP. What they are building on is a 70 year lease of the ground, so technically in 70 years the CCP could come and evict you and you get nothing.
