I believe everyone thinks China is more important than it actually is, a narrative it has been pushing, one of China being "the indispensable nation". It isn't. When China craters it won't have a disastrous effect on the rest of the world. The world moved along quite well before China "opened up" and it will carry on just fine after China closes back down.

Gosh, I guess "Male-icides", which vastly outnumber "Femicides" by a large margin don't count cause, you know, they're just men and who cares about them, right? @michaelotoole1807
1
Gosh that sounds great, but you don't know if a woman is truly good or just acting until after the marriage. Then the mask comes off and you are screwed.
1
I doubt it. They'll keep messing with it, falsify some reports. Give a grand announcement and then it'll never leave the dock other than to putt around the harbor for photo ops.
1
That's why I get aggravated when all these bleeding hearts say "oh, those poor Chinese people". They're a nation of a**holes. They can't crash fast enough to suit me.
1
@kamsunleong6648 When you have 1 billion people it's not all that hard to be the world's largest market.
1
You're just jealous that the CCP only gives you 50 cents.
1
The technology may be good but their execution, turning that tech into actual physical objects, is poor. The tech of an LED flashlight is good but when it's made out of Chinese tofu it's a piece of junk.
1
Even if they get rid of Xi they still have a rapidly shrinking population and way too much real estate to do something with.
1
So the buildings aren't tofu-dreg but counterfeit tofu-dreg.
1
Perhaps women just are not happy, no matter their circumstances.
1
With its millions and millions of university graduates, China will have the best-educated rice farmers in the world. Chyna Numba Won!

The poor are always with you.---J.C.
1
No. You can't trust any numbers out of China.
1
But other than that this is your favorite channel, right?
1
I have come to the belief that the average Chinese is just as cutthroat as their leaders. Their government being the horrible way it is is just a reflection of the Chinese character. Any one of "those poor Chinese people" would be just as ruthless, greedy, and power-mad if given the chance. Xi isn't a monster, he's just an average Chinese who happened to get power. @kennethli4575

Ebikes are great because you can pedal them when the battery is dead. EV cars not so much.
1
They remind me of trained seals, all clapping in unison.
1
And wumao like you keep making the same copy and paste comments everywhere. All you are doing is making China look even worse.
1
That's what Communism seems to turn into: rich, privileged overlords with everyone else a slave in the field or factory.
1
Europe hates the US so much that they are willing to cozy up to anyone else no matter how tyrannical, first Russia, then China. I think the next time Europe has a problem--think WW1, WW2, and the Cold War--the US shouldn't answer the phone.
1
Seems like they are willing to stand in line for hours just to get swindled. I've heard that Chinese have the highest IQ on the planet. If that is so they need to revamp the IQ tests because I see no evidence of intelligence.
1
I don't think Xi gives a damn about the economy, he's only interested in power. If a world war came and everyone in China was killed but Xi and one Chinese citizen, as long as he was the boss of that person he'd be happy.
1
"They forget marriage is not just about money and status." Wow, do American women know this?
1
To be Chinese is to be a dim bulb.
1
China hates the West but wants to be just like it. They dress Western, live in Western-style homes, and drive Western-style cars. Cognitive dissonance.
1
Communism = Satan's favorite government.
1
One could almost come to the conclusion that Communism doesn't work. Only about 150 million people have died trying to make it work and still no luck. Perhaps Marx should have been a plumber instead of writing books.
1
Knowing how China works I suspect an awful lot of that gold is fake. China counterfeits everything.
1
Never has, never will. Marx was an idiot.
1
Keep telling yourself that they are supposedly the smartest people on Earth.

@vincentramirez8188 I know the US Air Force was experimenting with drones in WW2. Joseph Kennedy, President Kennedy's older brother was killed in that program. They were using B-17s as drones.

A guy in his Soft Guy Era. Drizzle drizzle girls.
1
I don't know if they like white guys. Chinese cultural is outrageously chauvinistic and racist. If you aren't Han Chinese then you are sub-human. Reminds me of a certain Middle Eastern tribe who wear small hats.
1
Racist. Sexist.
1
Socialism doesn't work so they have to bleed in some Capitalism.
1
Pure capitalism is dog-eat-dog and survival of the fittest. Government needs to make laws that curb the abuses. But Capitalism is still the best system known...as long as the government keeps a restraining hand on its excesses. The problem is governments are made of people and people can be bought so influence is purchased to affect the outcome. Perfect? Not at all, but still the best system known. wcoastbo

China is not nearly as important to the rest of the world as it thinks it is.
1
I read somewhere some time ago, I know, what a credible source, but it said that Mao was responsible for 80 million to 100 million Chinese deaths. And he is revered to this day, his portraits everywhere, and he's even on the money. He was the greatest mass murderer of all time and yet he's celebrated and looked up to. He killed more Chinese than anyone yet the Chinese fulminate about all the nations that ruled over them and treated them badly but love him. That makes me think there is something deeply flawed in the Chinese psyche. @Manx123

Because we have a general grasp of math. Imports and exports down, foreign investment down, real estate down, domestic consumption down. We know you can't add four "downs" and get an "up" as an answer. In algebraic terms, when you add four negative numbers the answer is also negative, thus China is experiencing negative GDP.
1
Shows you just how credible the World Bank is.
1
That's similar to what's happening in China. The one girl said it well: the price of things we don't need is dropping but the price of what we do need is rising. So say Ferraris, mink coats, and diamond necklaces are dropping in price but noodles, eggs, and rice are rising in price. When you average all the prices together it shows deflation. But if I don't buy a Ferrari that falling price does me no good. If I buy eggs then that price is rising and I feel it. Sort of the "bulldozer doesn't fit in my wok" idea you mentioned. It is interesting that when they calculate the official inflation rate they leave off food and fuel...which is where 75% of people's money goes! The reason the US government does it is a lot of social programs like Social Security get cost of living increases based on the official inflation rate. So be underreporting inflation they stiff old people out of millions of dollars. All governments are crooked. Some are just worse than others.
1
@MK_ULTRA420 From what I understand you have to provide an awful lot of personal information when you buy gold. That means the CCP will know right where it is when they want to confiscate it.
1
China Update has covered it. And he lives and does business in China.
1
If Monty Python was a country it would be China. @fg_arnold

China's soil is too polluted, they use too many pesticides. I wouldn't eat them.

@jasmines.6325 I've also known wimmen when they take off their panties you have to vomit out the window from the stench. Some people have poor hygiene, so?

One good thing to come out of the US fighting all over the globe, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Ethiopia, etc. etc. etc., perhaps the only good thing to come from it, is that the US military has a lot of very recent combat experience, something that the PLA lacks. The old saying is "every plan lasts right up to first contact with the enemy". In real combat it comes down to the training and initiative of junior officers, guys who can think on their feet and carry on the fight without higher ups' orders. I doubt the PLA encourages initiative and outside-the-box thinking in their officers. That will cost them dearly in real combat.
