From what I understand if there is a large nuclear exchange no one will survive. Millions will be killed in the initial nuclear attacks and the rest will die over time due to starvation caused from all of the dust thrown up into the atmosphere causing a "nuclear winter" all over the globe. It will be a mass extinction event.

But many more are not grateful at all.

Everything in China is Potemkin, all just for show so they can bray at the world "we numma one!".
1
Time calculations...with Chinese characteristics. "You just don't understand China".
1
High-speed rail was built to raise property values. I wonder how much of that property was bought or leased ahead of time by high Party officials and then sold at a huge profit? Perhaps that's the real reason for a lot of it.
1
For really large amounts they need a few days notice and then they will have your money for you. Every branch of a bank does not have $100 million in cash sitting there all of the time "just in case".
1
Rushing with Chinese characteristics. What others would call "cluelessly strolling up".
1
He looks like an alien to me. Either that or his mother squeezed too hard when giving birth.
1
Potemkin nation. Everything is all show, no go.
1
Xi wants to be Mao 2.0 and have his picture on the money. He wants to out-Mao Mao.
1
Don't worry. The missile will blow up on the launchpad...as it falls into a sinkhole...as a nearby building collapses on it. The Cosmos is safe. @daryldaryl913

Chinese isn't a race.
1
One common characteristic throughout Chinese culture is greed.
1
Social media has ruined the young people. All they care about is likes and followers, like the some kind of movie star. It has fed women's delusions to where they will never marry because no man is good enough.
1
"Man, the air pollution is horrible today, I can hardy breathe <flick>".
1
I believe Samsung has one. That's who Huawai stole the idea from.
1
We can't, don't try. China as a country is mentally ill. Just back away slowly and let them fester.
1
China has developed their own form of government that combines the worst of Communism and the worst of Capitalism.
1
Flood water is always filthy but I can imagine flood water in China takes it to a whole new level of toxicity with all of the pollution, pesticides, and human filth there.
1
The last thing I bought from Walmart was made in Bangladesh.
1
I consider all the bad news about China my form of porn: a delicious guilty pleasure.
1
Yeah but those donkey farts are going to be an environmental disaster, especially if they feed them cabbage.
1
In China EV = coal-powered car. How environmental. Everything has an environmental cost. Even solar is not "clean energy" because of the materials that go into making the components, the transportation of those materials, and the lack of a good way to recycle them. Windmill blades cannot be recycled and are therefore just buried plus windmills are chopping up the bats and the birds. There are these thingies called "The Laws of Thermodynamics" and one of them is best stated "there is no free lunch". And there is no clean energy. Everything uses resources and pollutes in some way. If you want a totally pollution free Earth let's just all kill ourselves. You go first. Of course, all those dead bodies will be pollution too. Oh, never mind.

@Pasador528 Could you list some of those positive things? And please don't quote CCP statistics, which are generally lies.
1
I think throughout their 5,000 years of history they have always been under an emperor, warlord, or tyrant. Perhaps all the fight has been bred out of them. Xi is just another in a long line and when he's gone another will replace him. <Chinese shrug.>
1
Yeah, in "green" China your EV is basically coal-powered. Same in Germany.

@feiwang5306 Translation: "China has not been made public, and there is no information at all on the Internet. He has no choice but to use the United States and CG to narrate the video."

"964 million Chinese have a monthly income of less than $282".---China Business News "600 million Chinese make less than $153 per month".---Former Vice-Premier Li Keqiang Sure sounds like poverty to me. But then I'm not the CCP trying to impress the world.
1
And Communism is better?
1
China is caught in an inescapable trap. If old people can't retire and must continue working or starve then young people will never find jobs. When people retire everyone below them moves up a notch thus creating vacancies at the bottom for young people. China is doomed on every front. Just more proof that Communism doesn't work. So far it seems to last about one human lifetime. The Soviet Union started in 1917 and collapsed in 1991 = 74 years. Communist China started in 1949 so it has been here for...74 years. It's time.
1
My theory is that we are all the right height lying down.
1
@mah7961 But if the insurance companies are as corrupt as everything else in China will they even pay out? Maybe even the insurance is tofu.
1
All weapons systems have weaknesses. The one who creates them knows those weaknesses. The one who copies them doesn't know them until combat occurs, which is too late.
1
Man, you are sick! I'm sure we could be great friends.
1
The dams releasing water unannounced?
1
Yes.
1
You won't go very far in life believing official numbers from China.
1
People don't understand demographics at all. Anything that takes more than a few minutes to happen they don't get. @LloydsofRochester
1
Indeed. Another fake copy. I wonder how big 4x4ing is in China? They aren't exactly town cars.
1
I thought everyone was equal under Communism. I guess it's more like Animal Farm: all animals are equal, it's just some are more equal.
1
@ogasdiaz "964 million Chinese have a monthly income of less than $282".---China Business News "600 million Chinese make less than $141 per month".---Former Vice-Premier Li Keqiang Looks like they forget a few while they were pulling everybody out of poverty.
1
I don't speak Spanish but I do know what "pendejos" means :).
1
Yes, the CCP cares about power and not the wealth of the country as long as they, the CCP, can steal enough to be comfortable themselves. I think Xi wants China to go back to the days of Mao where everyone was poor and did what they were told or else their food was cut off. A poor country but one under total control. Xi sees himself as Mao 2.0. Outsiders keep wondering why the central government doesn't jump in and help the economy. It's because they want it to go down. They have seen that as people get wealth they start having ideas of their own and questioning the CCP and that cannot be allowed so their wealth will be allowed to go away.
1
No, I think they should stay...well, not exactly Communist, whatever abortion of a system they have...and just close back down and become North Korea 2.0. If they become democratic they'll take over the Earth. They'll be like locusts.
1
Parents look at their children as a resource to exploit. I wonder if Chinese culture is not the most inhumane and barbaric on Earth. Everything is about money. It is their god.
1
It must be. What else could it be? Heat wave in Spain...climate change. Blizzard in Florida...climate change. FTX collapses...climate change. Chinese real estate drops...climate change. My train is late...climate change. The baby fell down the stairs...climate change... @knownuser0815
1
Year of the Dragon = Year of Satan. It looks like he's going to tear China a new a**hole.
1
Do you really think the Chinese Navy would allow a YouTube film crew to video their installation?
1
One of the biggest causes of so many problems is the stupid system of having to make payments on a house that is not yet built. That is a system that absolutely invites fraud. You're giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to someone on a "trust me, bro" deal. If they would just make a government edict that mortgage payments only begin the moment you move into the house this could all be avoided. Now the builders would be eager to finish the house to get their payment. The Chinese real estate system has taken the word "vaporware" and applied it to create "vaporhousing".
1
They have to protect their ad revenue from Temu. @timboatfield
