Xi does not like naysayers and so they are being replaced with people who tell Xi what he wants to hear. That worked so well for Putin and his "three day military operation". There's only so much Chinese stock video footage available and all of the China channels use the same stuff. It is what it is.

Xi doesn't like being told no and therefore replaces them. Xi does show a propensity of wanting to be surrounded by yes men.
