Russia is only regrouping and digging in because somebody in the leadership structure didn't advance just on party loyalty and connections, they also read "How to Military, for Dummies" at some point and realize that Russia is on the brink of a cascade failure where each unit that becomes compromised due to losses impacts the next and so on until the dominoes roll back into Russia.

They risk their lives, unarmed, to save others and deal with same drug and mental illness issues among the population that police do. Yet, I've never heard of a firefighter chopping up a mentally ill person with his fire axe because he "feared for my life" when the mentally ill or drugged up person didn't understand or immediately follow commands. A Russian bot or confused pro Russian sheep left the comment that Bakhmut was still 70% intact. Anyone stupid enough to believe Russian propaganda, anyone stupid enough to think Russia is the victim, anyone stupid enough to think Russia was a friend to the US or other Western countries ought to be deported to Russia.

  42. Russia, which occupies Crimea, doesn't want people showing what's happening. Russia said they shot down all the incoming missiles. It's not a good recruiting tool to show your bases being hit and lots of corpses on the ground. Plus, anyone taking video might accidentally be showing the location of a target. This happened earlier in the year when someone posted video of an S 400 air defense system and Ukraine was able to geo locate it and hit it with drones. Or, there are likely some Ukrainians in Crimea fed up with Russian "polite" occupation and would intentionally upload video of targets. Basically, Russia wants to stop images getting out of Crimea so it can control the propaganda it serves to the Russian sheep.

The Israelis don't do COIN or counter insurgency and urban warfare the way the US did in Iraq and Afghanistan. We sent boots in to clear rooms. Israel sends in rockets from helicopter gunships, bombs from jets, and high explosive rounds from tanks to "clear" buildings by turning them to rubble (aka "Russian style urban warfare).
