Coral Snakes have front fixed fangs like all the other Elapids Taipans,Mambas,Cobras,Kraits and other species of venomous Elapids. They don't have to chew on you to inject venom but they will hold on moving their head from side to side injecting more neurotoxic venom. I hope you're joking about the Hoop snake aka Mud snake which mythical beliefs about snakes saying they put their tails in their mouth and roll down the hill 😂 nonvenomous species of snakes.
1
The King Brown aka Mulga snake preys on the Inland Taipan and has immunity to the Western Brown snake and a resistance to the venom of snakes in Australia.

And wear a helmets when driving cars 😮

Akistrodon piscivorus or the cottonmouth has only caused one fatal bite since 1971. Only the shy coral snake has caused one fatality since the late nineteen sixtys. There is no scientific evidence of the cottonmouth showing aggressive behavior only defensive behaviors against humans. They don't waste their venom on something they can't eat.🐟🐍

@ghoste1008 Maylayan Blue Coral snakes with cytotoxins and calliotoxins similar to the Cone Snails prey on juvenile King Cobras . This is one of nine species of snakes of which there is no antivenin due to the rarity of bites it wouldn't be cost effective to produce since only 2 documented fatalities in the past 100 years.

Western Diamondback rattlesnakes are not endangered species the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake Crotalas admanteus is in the Southeastern portion of the US and are endangered in many states from NC to Southeastern Louisiana coastal plains and pine forest. Florida and Southeastern Georgia are the strongest populations for the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake .
1
Mojave green rattlesnake LD 50 0.18mgkg sc hemotoxic and neurotoxic venom is the most toxic venomous rattlesnake more toxic than the Tiger rattlesnake LD 50 0.21 mgkg sc hemotoxic and myotoxic venom .
1
The Boomslang translation in Dutch and Afrikaans means tree snake Colubridae family of snakes which have rear fangs with hemotoxic venom ld 50 12.5 mgkg SC is the most toxic venomous snake in Africa but rarely bite humans unless mishandled usually by Herpetolgy experts who are trying to capture or own one for a pet . Make no mistake that and the Black Mamba ld 50 0.341 mgkg SC capable of delivering 200/400mg in multiple bites with cardiovascular and neurotoxic venom is a dangerous snake ! Only experts should ever try to handle them. Cheers
1
People often get mixed up about the most toxic venomous snakes and the most dangerous snakes. A wise person knows that the deadliest snake is the one that bites you and the last one that bites you.
1
Coral snakes have front fixed fangs just like all other elapids Cobras, Mambas, Taipans and Kraits
1
Coral snakes Micrurus elapid family of snakes with neurotoxins have front fixed fangs and are capable of injecting venom anywhere on the body. They are reclusive species of snakes and rarely bite humans only if they are stepped on or handled roughly do they normally bite but if they bite they will hold on injecting more venom so its important to get them off asap. Micrurus Pfizer Laboratory antivenin is used when treating all North American Coral snake bites.
1
Snakes are venomous not poisonous venom is injected into the lymphatic system from fangs or stingers poison has to come into contact with skin or be ingested to have a deadly effect. Toxinology101
1
No a good idea to identify coral snakes due to aberrant specimens of coral snakes in North America and over sixty species worldwide.
1
The rhyme is not always right due to melanistic and albino specimens in North America and 16 species of new world Coral snakes also 60 species of old world Coral snakes around the world
1
Five people are listed on the North American snake bite registry who have died from copperhead bites since 2004. It depends on if the person has a severe allergic reaction to the venom causing Anaphylaxis. If you are bitten by a venomous snake seek medical care asap and if the snake has injected venom into the bloodstream you will be treated with antivenin. If you just have swelling you probably received a dry bite meaning that no venom was injected.
1
@Faye McGinnis That's why people should consult with a Medical doctor or a herpetologist instead of a comment on YouTube from me or you ! Information provided by Wake Medical Raleigh North Carolina and the North American snake bite registry.⚕️
1
@Faye McGinnis That's your own decision to not seek any medical treatment for the snake bite. Thankfully 37 people in Wake County N.C. sought medical treatment for copperhead envenomations between Jun and Jul last summer at Wake medical Raleigh North Carolina and were treated successfully with crofab antivenin with no fatalities and no long lasting effects from their hemotoxic venom. It has nothing to do with being a country boy or a city slicker its about the reality of a venomous snake bite in the United States that can be easily treated with antivenin. If your child or someone you love is bitten by a venomous snake please 🙏 have them get medical attention asap.
1
Agkistrodon picivorous aka Cottonmouths and Watermoccasins are the hooked tooth fish eater which chase after fish not humans unless they look and smell like a fish ! Most likely that they were attracted by the smell of fish or thought your boat was a floating log for a place to rest on. No snake chases humans unless you consider a 20+ foot Reticulated python ambushed a human and ate them. 😮
1
The rhyme was taught in schools and military bases in the Southeastern quarter of the United States. That rhyme doesn't always work because of melanistic and albino specimens of Coral snakes in North America and doesn't apply to other countries with Coral snakes.
1
Akistrodon pisivorous AKA Cottonmouths and Watermoccasins is the hook tooth fish eater which eat fish. 100% of the people making comments about being chased by a Cottonmouth were fishing. It's after fish not humans.
1
@bjs301 Many snake behaviors include vibrating their tails its not mimicking any other species of snakes its part of their own behavior. LD 50 test results are based on injecting venom into mice, rats, monkeys, cats, dogs fish and birds to measure venom toxicity not how dangerous a certain species of venomous snake are. The most dangerous snakes live in close proximity to humans who work in agricultural regions of their countries and don't always wear shoes or protective clothes also are not likely to have access to antivenin or any other medical treatment . What's your point of view of this video misinformation on Coral snakes. You really haven't provided one for someone who has studied snakes for sixty years looks like you just commented to start an argument with nothing to back it up SMH .
1
Akistrodon contortrix gives birth to live young they do not build a nest. There is no record of a copperhead baby fatal snake bite on a child listed in the North American snake bite registry.⚕️

North American Coral snake antivenin ( Equine ) - Pfizer Laboratory has been available since 2009 after being purchased from Wyeth Laboratory for all species of Coral snakes Eastern, Western and Sonoran desert Coral snakes. Jack Facente Venom Laboratory and the Reptile Discovery Center Medtoxin Laboratory Deland Florida Carl Barden still milk and tube feed Coral snakes Micrurus fulvius and extract venom from them for the production of antivenin that was developed by Wyeth Laboratory in the late sixties along with legendary herpetologist Bill Haast Miami Serpentarium Laboratories and his methods are still used by Jack Facente and Carl Barden. Source is the Orianne Society 2013. Medical misinformation is a terrible thing to be spreading around the internet !

Snakes are venomous not poisonous. Venom is injected into the bloodstream from fangs or stingers. Poison has to come into contact with skin or be ingested to have a deadly effect on humans.

In North Carolina the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake is an endangered species report any sightings to your nearest wildlife agency. There has been very few sightings in the past 20 years in North Carolina of the Eastern diamondbackrattlesnake⚕️
1
Coral snakes Micrurus fulvius have front fixed fangs just like all other elapids Cobras ,Mambas, Taipans and Kraits. They are capable of delivering neurotoxic venom anywhere they bite that's a misconception they have to chew on someone to inject venom however they will continue to inject venom moving their heads from side to side injecting more venom so it's important to get them off asap. Chinese are more likely to be bitten by Coral snakes because of their bright colors usually using the rhyme which isn't reliable due to aberrant specimens in North America. 16 species of new world Coral snakes and over sixty species of old world Coral snakes that come in different colors depending on the region and countries that they live in. In North America Pfizer Laboratory Micursus antivenin is used when treating all North American Coral snakes Eastern, Western and Sonoran desert Coral snakes effective until June expiration date 2024 when it could be extended into the next decade due to the fact that they rarely bite humans only if they are stepped on or handled roughly usually by people who have no experience with snakes. Edit Chinese correct word children !

Did you watch this video about Coral snakes 😂?

The Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake Crotalas admanteus is on the endangered species list in NC where only documented sightings have been at Camp Lejeune Onslow County. Those documented sightings were in the mid nineties and when they complete I-42 it will be the end of the Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake in NC. If you know of a breeding population of EDB's in NC report it to your Wildlife Officers so it gets documented and could help save them in NC.

They prefer swamp lands and rivers but can be found in sand hills and Long leaf pine forest also! Long leaf pines are built to weather storms with deep roots and are all along the Southern coastline!

It's important to get them off asap before they can deliver a fatal bite.

Only one person has died from a Cottonmouth bite since 1971 and that person didn't seek medical attention. Pitvipers bite are easily treated with Crofab antivenom in the United States.

Since both of you are much bigger than that akistrodon piscivorus the snake has no choice but to be defensive when its being poked at with a stick its not being aggressive at all.

@inmyopinion6662 Agkistrodon picivorous aka Cottonmouths and Watermoccasins give birth to live young they don't build a nest or guard their territory against predators and people. That's a common myth told by people who have superstitious beliefs about snakes.
