  15. Even though the current sets are not actually safe. Then they need to modify it, so that it complies. So if it sticks out like that, then they need to put it in front of their own stores or something. Or on the side. Most roads in all other countries have a clear numbering system, and a clear sign as well. Some are very small. So maybe small signs, which are ergonomic and then are cost effective, is the way to go ? This should be a booster to the commercial sector, get ALL shops or stores to be replaced, and one single company to do this from endto-end. How hard is this ? Not very hard. Japan has done their ages ago... and incorporated it into their own designs. Those signs might not be correct for an actual outdoor sign, but they could indeed be installed as an art installation, or for the inside of an actual mall or bar, or whatever. Like how Japan has done it. And make it low energy as well etc. Maybe "lower wattages" and make it energy efficient. How hard is it to convert them? Not that hard at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdb1CqZhFuY <---- See how Japan has adopted and preserved ALL their signs ? And added laterns as well.... and they increase their usages of LEDs too. Japan has ceiling to floor glasses... but would HK be confident to have this kind of stores ? Without breakages ? And vandalism ? Their indoor lights, shines onto the pavements... Whereas all stores in HK, has metal shutters, in case somebody steal something. If those "lamp posts" have actually a solar panel.. which absorbs during the day.... and then at night, it lights up. How much energy does the city conserve ? A lot. And doing this, then means that, more energy for the housing. Flats etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rY-FU6y3mIg

  21.  @taitslong3417  : You know... for a city.. that keep saying things like..."It is following British laws"... Well.. British laws.. say about "racism" is... "It is considered as racist, if somebody is not given an opportunity".... So therefore.. if these individuals were already given the opportunity ALREADY... and yet, their standards did not reach whatever expectation from employers... THEN.... what is the issue here ?! There is NO issue either ! You cannot employ EVERYBODY from the non-Chinese group to be into the ENTIRE company, so therefore... there can be no work for the local Cantonese either ! Can you ! For a 8 million city.. you want the entire 80 000 people to be in the police force? To be in the education sector ? To be the financier ? I am sure that, I have already seen like a non-chinese policeman already. In fact, some local cantonese and venting on Facebook and ranting already. Cos they were never given THAT opportunity.. when they were in their 20s.... And now they are in their 40s !!! They were FORCED .....to be doing lesser jobs... Cos of what was going on in HK. Imagine that. And now, 20 years on already... the entry requirement, has been dropped as well ? Before, it was a lot HIGHER... that is... the BEST OF THE BEST.... i.e. English (all As) + Cantonese (All As) + All As in A levels. + Degree = Senior leader or even team leaders. Those individuals... at that time, were chosen.. and they had to coax.. the local to accept them, cos their wages were a lot HIGHER than their own wages etc. And they had to negotiate to ask them to not violate the laws etc. It took 10-15 years !!!! (When they basically did is to ask them not to attack you non-chinese. That is what really happened ! And that was WHY trade continued ! And jobs were created ! Money came in etc !) And where did those people went to in the end ? They were forced to leave the city too. Many after 1997 had to migrate into the UK with their measley pension pots. Whilst.. you guys enjoyed everything that OTHER PEOPLE WORKED HARD FOR !!!!!!! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT OTHER KIND OF INSULTS AND TRUTHFUL WORDS COULD AND SHOULD BE SAID NOW !!!!! Those families.. their kids are probably earning pittance.. than what they could do now, in those financier jobs etc. Or to even be a fisherman...(which apparently, NOBODY is now DOING. COS EVERYBODY IS PEEVED OFF !!!)... So now it is a stalemate !!!! no food entering the city. No supply chains. People rather rely on import goods ! Tinned food ! THAT is what is going on !

  27.  @Cosmo1093 : Explain in details to me, what exactly is the concept of the "One China Principle" ????..... Why the Western world classify it as ethnic cleansing, is indeed because, it is an entire race. By that it means that everybody within that group are of the same either family or some form of bloodlines as well.. and the others within the region or countries are not, and are of other races etc. It comes from science to classify it as "ethnic" because when using medicine to treat certain people they are all different comparatively... so.... In Canada's situation .. yes... it is indeed ethnic minorities when it comes to the First Nation people. But however... why are the local in HK classified as "indigenous" ??... Like in a tribal sense but it isn't as so though.... Is HK now so mixed race in the sense that, there cannot be any classification at all ? And even if you do class this, is it really racially discriminating any way ? HK has to take a definition either way imho.... Cos it refuses to do this, and now then what ??? That is why it is a failed state, cos the people are not even sure what to either classify themselves as, and nor do they identify and connect to the city and its history. So basically rootless ???? This is why people fled. Cos they don't even connect to the city, and why do they, right ???? You do actually realised that, in other countries, they aren't as socially mobile or as mixed race, as people are in HK ?... Right ?... Or even in Taiwan... You DO know this, right ???....

  28.  @noellecms  : You don't know your history though, and this is half the problem too. USA used to also have a section of the "USA" to be actually part of the Spanish colony. English ships went all the way into South America, called the Spanish Armada.. and conquered a lot of land way back when. And the Southern part of USA is mostly Spanish? Where the Cantonese are now living overseas. This is why, in some states, they have stuck to their own language as well. In fact, English is the usage, but many people speak their own languages between families as well. And some areas, they do speak more of their language at the state level. So I ask you.... why should a Canton region, whose heritage...(the longest history)... is with the Yue language, with the Bai Yue people... Today, cannot speak a derived version of Yue, called the "Cantonese" ?? WHY ???? Even if some part of this language, created the understood modern day "chinese" or have merged and integrated as part of the "Hans Chinese" language.... EVEN if this has actually happened, you should NOT forget its original roots !!!! Which is YUE. THAT is the language, and you could loosely say that "Cantonese" is a "derived version of Yue" !!!!!! Some scholars in HK do not accept the idea of "Cantonese"... sure.. they could say that.. because the original name was Yue. And I can tell that, SCMP as usual.. have super uneducated individuals.. and again, blasted the usual junk as well.... There is a lot of loan words in Cantonese today that comes from the English language. There are some written old Hans Chinese that is also added to the Cantonese language today. This is why Cantonese = Yue + English Loan Words + Mixed merged Wu/Min Nam/Gan etc etc.... as written today and incorporated under its new(?)/own 9 tone system.

  30.  @kimtan1278  : You are too young to understand the situation, and its associated boundaries. UK is not interfering in China's "domestic affairs". "UK IS ACTUALLY COMMENTING NOW, ON AN INTERNATIONAL ISSUE, WHICH CHINA HAS WITH THE UK." The Sino-Joint declaration is a LIVE CONTRACT. It is activated post 1997+50 years. Who, and how, and what, and why, would China, say this is "domestic affairs" ??? Some aspect, DOES impact the declaration. You do not know which part does, and which part does not, do you ???? You are a funny and weird person. Sovereignty has signed over, but it does not mean, the entire system is transferred over. You have ZERO clue. Many contracts and business contracts, that existed, before 1997... can now be undone actually, between China and the UK. So why does China wants this Huawei contract any more ? UK does NOT have to give into this contract, cos it is not even trading as a fair system. It has NO obligation to trade... You DO know this, right ? No trade negotiation, and no contract, MEANS no TRADE. You DO know that, right ???? How can China trade, when Shenzen is built up as a secondary financial city ? The financial city in HK, was built up by the British. Is China saying that HK's financial city status is going to collapse ? If it is... Then it means that, it no longer CAN be a financial centre, AT ALL !! It would move over the border INTO the Shenzen area. And then, there might NOT be actual financial centre in HK at all... And trade outside of the mainland is going to be controlled. So, I do not understand why all of these small time businesses... or chinese business owners, still see other countries as "open". They cannot be a part of their market.
