@jeffrey7737 : Handmade things in HK and in China is more expensive. And being frugal city, people want to earn a lot, but they want to spend very little. So his home-made ones, are not mass produced or subsidised, so he will be competed out against. So.. this is whereby.. he should find a tiny niche shared space.. but also diversify... Basically. I mean, doing that, he might just be able to earn a tiny but small living. But don't expect people to spend high cash any more, considering flats have now exploded in price. So... those spending power is no longer there. This is also why, people do not play mah jong any more. Well, they play with money. Traditionally, I think it was just a leisure thing and there was no exchange of money, is my understanding. It is meant to be an Art... (without monetary transaction) is my understanding. But of course, capitalism, and modernisation just pushed people to adapt.. and by 2022.. I think to exchange money with such games, is practically illegal. i.e. Financial services laws.. or gambling licensing etc..
My mom plays those weird card games.. she knows the rules, but I don't. She plays with her other girlie friends. And it does keep her mind ticking over and keep her busy. I used to do sudoku as well.. when I needed to train my brain and try to remember something. Used to have a portable gameboy as well with some classic brain numbing games to keep myself busy and focused.
Anyway, such things maybe are kinda forced by the local councilers to move to a better location, in case they have some kind of weird and odd provincial goals, or whatever.. and then he would be exempt and bulldozed over. Maybe this is why they are moving him to a better location, isn't it? Since PRC supposedly have a centrally controlled planning.. But if you look at other countries like Japan.. or South Korea.. they kept all of their local traditions.. and people slowly made the way they are by respecting each others' personal ownership or land, and spaces, and skills. This is not something that PRC follows through. They just want the objective, but they don't care whose heritage it was... That is the thing. Cos if you were born a farmer's family tree. Then there is no way that you would not be a landowner, or a farmer. That is kept inline in Japan and in South Korea. But in HK.. it is like, if one is a landowner, then all are landowners.. If one made mah jong, then everybody makes mah jong. Er.... This is why in china, people fight. And they compete with one another. I'm sure that isn't how it worked in other Asian societies.. Respect for the other person's role in society was super important ! PRC ? Peh ! Absolutely no respect.

If I was to turn things around, I would first, limit and control immigration again. Kick out those from SE Asian countries, for one. Then, reduce or recover some of the estates. Have a direct rental, or renewal of rentals from specific areas... and the agents, act as a broker.. WITH backup... from some kind of financial institution.. to broker the moves. i.e. "If you are willing to give up your flat and that you move to this location, I can get you this price, and I would add extra from funding from the bank to see this through etc". He can get some kind of insurance or other.. I dunno what products that can cover these. Then... When the wrong people should not be there is not there. Leave a section for living close to offices and living spaces, government suppress those prices.. or subsidises them. Then create a space... for him... and some cultural areas. Those who do not have hukuo, is time to leave HK.. and work elsewhere. Sorry. but they should. Create some rooms again for those foreign workers for the banks again. The end. If even they can't work.. then where do you find the money to boost back up the economy ? Those on low income refuses to work in those office jobs and climb up ! One of these things.. in the UK, or the US.. one would still try and aim for a white collar job and higher paid too, even if an elderly. Yet, in china or in HK.. most people don't... I don't even get the point of not doing that.. Such a different way to view things. A lot of people are like in their 50s in the UK, and started a degree! Yet in HK... the government shift these people into elderly care homes. But what if they are not ready to go ?! If they do not want to do it, this is another thing... but if they do.. then support them to do so! You can't have a situation whereby everybody is on low income and nobody spends...

@anthonychan3336 : The thing is, people assume that the "UN Official language" is and should and ought to be the "national PRC Official language", this is WRONG WRONG and WRONG !!!!! Even during Imperial China's time.. there isn't this much BS. Really. Just because a city or a country gets involved in trade, does not mean that the locals, or the soviegn people, gets to be 1) killed, and 2) their life destroyed, and 3) they are marginalised on their own home turfs !!!!! If there are no more chinese inside China, is it still called "china" ? NO. It is NOT "china" any more !!!! Even today, it is funny how... with so much technology today... like even DNA testings.. those individuals in power, could call themselves "Hans" ??!!!! What ?!! It was Imperial Edict which stated clearly.. that... "you should follow confucian values, and build within your own community".... That has NEVER changed ! It's Chinese laws !!!! So when others kind of invade and trespass.... That is RUDE. You're a guess in that piece of land ! and ask yourself, does that law, actually allows you to work and live there? Does it ??? I think people needs to read the chinese laws, cos it does not allow or implies that you could.

@kennethwong5725 : What some of you people in Malaysia does NOT know is that, you need to stick with your own language, cos it was the Chinese Tang Code... (that is, Imperial laws) that dictate, that you should, and ought to actually speak and to live within your own family's land, or premises. So many, when during periods of war, or that they were paid to defend the borders and boundaries, often, went OUT of their way.. to destroy other people's actual land, as well as leaving their own borders. You don't see this kind of behaviour in any other countries, like in Europe or the USA. Cos normally, those borders are controlled borders? You have to tick a box or fill in a form if you leave the land, and before you enter etc. This is the same with the USA too. So I don't get why some people in SE Asia... keep on complaining, about XYZ... and literally NOT stick by the rules.. and stick by their own duties to live within their own borders. And because SOME people DO NOT do this.. then the rest doesn't either.. and then we have fights, deaths and chaos... Which is where we are at now. Even and especially with HK as well.... Like VERY BADLY ?!!?!!!

@SouravskpXD : Really more like, not bias than it is... Something which does not exist, say. Even now, I am learning. And nobody will actually correct it, or to redefine, cos there is also the people's biasedness as well. i.e. "I cannot tell you this, since I am not that person"... This is why some chinese people will not be able to explain and cross reference it back to the Western model. Sometimes, I am confused over some of the terms as well.. Cos I think the written words were left by a certain dynasty, for example. (Some, are basically totally lost.) But I think there is a bit of a movement, to rebuild the past now. Archeology is something which is happening in China.

@obsidianstatue : No... I think they mean, just in general... As in, city planning. Some buildings, across Europe, are extremely old ? So there isn't any room to build. A lot of the land are untouchable. So, instead of leaving no room for living. Most of the old buildings are re-used. To re-use, strict laws are placed on how they can be strengthened. It has to go through analysis and approval etc etc. By several teams.
I have yet to make trip to the mainland yet, but I like to one day. I just watch a lot of videos for now. I think there are more old things in China, which is more common, since the land is so big... Which I also find surprising. I didn't mean, "Japan is better than China, nah nah nah nerrrrr". :) Don't be so petty.

@anchored555 : Chinese government did not lift 800 million out of poverty. Chinese government, never used to charge any lands.. maybe only imperial lands. And that was internal, and not external. It is when the "country" decided to join the WTO, without knowing its full obligations.. and yet, would NOT reform, to meet its expectations. So much so that, chaos happened. Again. Only in the mainland, can a "party member" has enough gold, stored in his home, more than the value of a small European country. THIS is not governance.. THIS is stealing !!! It is called "People's Republic of China"...."PEOPLE'S".... But that money belongs to the people. Not to this individual CCP party member. Some people forget the reasons why they exist.. and their "job" obligation.. 800 million was lifted out of so called poverty, is a bit of a fake number. Cos those lands were used to be charged and added into the mix. So many times, the stock exchanges within China collapsed. Again and again, and again. People own many "state-owned enterprises"... As in, location provincial governments, borrow money, in order to report their GDP figures. A lot of things are very wrong in the mainland...

@mitsume_slay : They want the "best of the best". Despite most adults, aren't even allowed to go to school... and never did go to school in China... either. Or in Canton. They were sent to work asap as a child. I bet THIS was never reported EITHER ! Imagine.. we did not even have computers just a mere 40 years ago... and now we have TV shows.. and everything at our finger tips... So these children, cannot listen to a tape.. and then to even mimick the sound? You could ! And this is HOW many individuals learnt as well.. I did that with Japanese. I had no idea what I am listening to. My friend made me a tape. I listened to it. I tried to mimick the sound.. and then I broke it down as well too... and then recreate it back up as well ! Many "ethnic minority" celebrities in HK did the same too. THEY did okay ! In fact, they got jobs as singers.. and TV presenters.. the list goes on !
There are a lot of materials from RTHK as well.
Also.. because these Western firms and people, refuses to leave HK as well.. It indirectly drags.. the rest of the mainland China... into the tiny HK city itself. So the infrastructures, should NOT have been created AT all.... it should not have done so. So what the government did, is that, they wanted those foreign currencies.. and forced the local cantonese to move away from their own hometown and their heung ha.... By force, by coercion... and more. So I don't get what is the point of wanting these children to teach them anything, at all means ? For a Cantonese city, half the people cannot even speak Cantonese. Don't you think that the city is in financial danger ? Same with the UK actually.. Half the Chinese, don't want to integrate with the overall grand plan of the country to reach net zero either. And they just want to make their own little bit of money. Shouldn't people really deglobalise, at this moment in time ? Genuine question actually. I had no idea that.. with the social media now... Other HK media, are indeed scraping data and info from other netiezens elsewhere as well so.... What really is the point of ANYTHING any MORE ? ....
