  4. US President Trump just unilaterally slap sanctions on steel and aluminum, without even going through the proper World Trade Organization channels. US has exempted some countries from the tariffs but many US allies like Australia, India, Canada, etc are not on this list and some are lodging a complaint to the WTO against the USA just slapping tariffs like that.

Our quality may not be top notch, but it is reasonable quality for the price, such that global demand for Chinese products remains constant. They may not be Chinese goods exactly, but they are unmistakably Chinese products, which is why they have "Made in China" or "Product of China" labels on them. Intellectual Property rights in China was not as established as USA initially, because Chinese markets were still getting used to capitalism back then. The IP rights today are much better than it was before, but still not like the Western standards. Regardless, if companies want setup shop in China, then obviously they need to adhere Chinese regulations within China.

If same method doesn't work after so many years, why not try a different approach instead? USA is the key here, not China.

There have been over 100+ complaints lodged against the USA because of its protectionist measures, and even countries like Canada, Australia and India are lodging fresh complaints about US tariffs on steel and aluminum.

China even help buy off about $1.2 trillion dollars (as of January 2018) of US debt, in order to help USA tide over the 2008 financial crisis, so you think USA would be able to recover if not for Chinese buying off their debt? And the USA IS the most protectionist country in the world. Nationalism is what binds a country together, and even USA has patriotic slogans like "America first!", "Make America Great Again!" and "God Bless the United States of America!". If I were American, my chest would probably swell with pride upon hearing those slogans. But I'm not American, and China has made great progress to turn from 3rd world, dirt-poor, war-torn, starving country, into a 1st world, economic power, protected by world's largest land army (People's Liberation Army) and able to influence global politics. Why can't Chinese be proud of our achievements? Its not easy to transform a poor country into an economic power, yet instead of being recognized for our achievements, the West constantly mocks China because our political system is different from theirs?
