  36.  Simba Scar  he's referring to the fact that masks don't stop tiny particulates with virus entering, but they do prevent large particulates that leave the mouth. Thus, wearing a mask is to protect others incase you have the virus, not the other way round. Wearing a mask is like practicing safe sex - you are an appauling human if you know you have the disease and willingly let other people get the disease.

Are they really complaining that another country is bad? There are plenty of countries that are bad. They actually have some agency to change things in their country, but clearly there is nothing really bad there to protest, so they're tackling a worse problem in another country. It's priorities, isn't it?

  44. well; the case fatality rate is about 5%. that is then number of deaths per identified case. the IFR s per unidentified case and is only estimatable, since you need tests to find the infections and it turns into a case fatality rate. So it's probably not quoted in the news because it's unknowable, and your numbers are estimates only. Still, if the IFR is 0.006, then the CDC thinks that 10 times many more people have the virus than they know about, and the problem is much worse. needless to say, the actual deaths, excess to the normal deaths you'd expect in a ad flu season are far higher, showing that covid is definitely more deadly the the flu.
