@ChucksSEADnDEAD He’s probably referring to those cute little dogs. 😉

@peetky8645 That’s your source? Military surplus vehicles on auction sites?
1
@maxpower3990 The security of the regime, not the security of Russia. There is no certainty about what the Russian military will do if the Putin regime is seriously threatened. What we do know is that Putin is reckless. If the Kremlin were to announce that it would only use nukes if its 1991 borders are breached, that would be one thing.

Probably spring or summer of 2023. However, it would be interesting if it was recorded in spring or summer of 2024, would it not?

What do Kendrick and Drake have against Tucker (other than his naked racism)?
1
@dougg1075 Can I get a cutting from your hamburger tree? Just a hoof will do, thanks.

Right on. I’ve learned to live very modestly. I’ve had some wild adventures on the road and now I’ve taken early retirement and moved to where I can get by comfortably on a fixed income. I’ve suffered a couple of material misfortunes that I experienced more as a lightening of the load than a painful loss. It’s all about attitude and adaptability. I feel fortunate. They called us slackers. That used to sting when I cared what they thought and tried to measure myself by their lifestyle standards.

@thefisherking78 To hide the transaction to affect the outcome of an election. Trump could openly set up a harem in the West Wing, and it wouldn’t phase his “Christian values” voters.
1
You’ll have to bring some receipts.
1
Are you just trolling or are you that ignorant? That’s a Stalin quote.
1
@RL.777 Robert Kennedy is a solid and grounded anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist and anti-vaxxer. If Biden is a shit sandwich and Trump is a shit sandwich laced with glass, Kennedy is a shit sandwich dosed with LSD.
1
Give Patrick Boyle a shot. His videos are lengthy, but worth it. Also, you can play his videos at 1.25 speed and still catch what he’s saying.
1
@BW022 If it was diesel fuel that burned as opposed to other liquid fuels, would that affect your diagnosis?
1
@stephenderry9488 America, to India: Join me and we can defeat the Emperor. We can rule the galaxy as father and son. India: This is a shitty analogy. First of all, are you supposed to be the father? Because I’m much older than you. I should be the father. Furthermore, I don’t need lightsabers. I just slap a bitch with eight different hands. That’s 16 forehands/backhands before you even have the lightsaber out of your pocket. What else you got, padawan?
1
We’re not worried about that sort of chest thumping. We’re more worried about you becoming insufferable braggarts who will follow a grifter skilled at stroking your egos. 😅 You know, like what’s happened to some of us.
1
@russelljackson2818 the flag of the Organization of North American Nations (ONAN)?

@thomasherrin6798 There are intermediate steps before we reach the point of nationalization/appropriation. Domestic operations could receive subsidies to see them through a market crash in exchange for domestic price discounts when the market reaches swings to the upside. Would this fly with the WTO, though?

@hugop1264 Being slightly anti-U.S. is almost a requirement in Latin American politics, no? I mean, even Vicente Fox had to remove his lips from Bush’s butthole on occasion. Mostly it’s pantomime —no one wants to look like a U.S. puppet. At the same time. But maybe I’m ignorant and you can correct me. The only Latin American countries I’ve lived in is Mexico and California. 😉

Cheap oil hurts one sector but helps others. I’m not sure if overall impact is negative. However, one of our two neighbors could be gravely damaged to the point of instability by a precipitous drop in the petro market.

@jeffparr9675 Look at his screen name.

He’s not 100% off the mark. He is just oversimplifying what is a complex topic, a 40 year history of organized crime in five minutes. He is omitting a lot, such as what happened in Central America and South America in the 70s and early 80s that facilitated the shift of narco trafficking from the Caribbean to Mexico. And that history is complicated by our own foreign policy and anti-communist efforts in Central American countries. To a certain extent, moves we (the U.S.) made in the area have come back to haunt us. Pete’s understanding isn’t deep, but I’m interested in seeing where he goes with this. Heck, I bet your understanding (and my understanding) of this part of the criminal underworld isn’t that deep either. There’s a lot that hasn’t come out, and a lot of that hidden information will never come out. There’s a lot of guesswork and rumor among those who study the problem for a living. Even the experts don’t have a complete picture. Pete’s weakness is when he strays out of his lanes. He’s pretty good when he stays with demographics and global trade (of legal commodities). He’s searching and analyzing the data, looking for trends that his real clients (big businesses and business associations) might use to guide their operations. It’s important to put these videos he makes in perspective. They’re entertainment and marketing for his consulting services. I don’t think he panders to the audience so much as that these videos attract an audience thirsty for confirmation of their biases and quick insights. (Look at all the comments worshipfully praising him.)

It’s good news/bad news. The bad news is that China falling apart isn’t necessarily a good thing regionally or globally. In fact, it could be pretty bad. The middling news is that Biden isn’t trying to make China collapse. He’s motivating it to get on the right path, a path where they aren’t threatening Taiwan, supporting Russia and NK, stealing intellectual property, manipulating currency, penetrating out computer networks, and generally being irresponsible rat bastards. Let’s hope the atheist commies get right with God. 😉

The answer to increasing Phosphorus and Nitrogen is more beer drinking. 😉

Presumably Americans would eat more plant based proteins if something interrupted the beef supply. Do you think there might be societal problems if that were to happen?
1
I think this has been the case going back at least to WWI, when years of stockpiles were expended by both sides in the first six months. It used to be that the king with the most gold won wars. Nowadays it’s industrial capacity, not gold. I think the West has buttloads more capacity than Russia, not to mention the capital to increase it.
1
Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but Peter doesn’t opine too much on domestic politics in these videos or the longer talks. It might alienate clients. I think these quick five minute presidential portraits are the most political he has gotten. He’s made it clear that he has a high opinion on GHWB, and a much lower opinion on those that followed. He’s been teasing us on what he will say about Trump. I think he will say that “Trump had a point about some things”, which is true. He might also say that Trump made some good hires.
1
What do you expect him to say that hasn’t already been said?
1
“Mostly accurate” assessment, not “very accurate”. Peter is nothing if not daring. He’s like the stunt driver of geopolitical analysts. It’s what makes these little vids of his so compelling: he’s willing to put himself out there.
1
@ctuna2011 And your home battery bank is adding to the environmental damage debt already incurred by solar.
1
@thevoxdeus Yes. For developing nations as well. Even more so because they are developing.
1
Honestly, you’re much better off just listening to Sal. Peter has a fair bit of fundamental knowledge, but falls short on the details. He makes mistakes that Sal wouldn’t allow to pass. However, Peter would benefit from some private tutoring from Sal.

The original suggestion of political integration is a complete non-starter. There is potential for greater economic integration between the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, however. NAFTA III will become a topic in 2027 or 28.
1
@NoPe-no4sn He has the audiovisual equivalent of dyslexia.

This is a superficial reading. The overall purpose was global stability. A linchpin to global stability is a stable energy supply. This is the underlying reasons for the Iraqi invasion. Maybe it was misguided from the get go. Maybe it was misguided because the Bush administration hawks grafted to the invasion their PNAC program of “democracy building”. (My thinking tends towards the later, although the former is an open question.) No doubt Halliburton benefitted both from the war and from its connections to Cheney. That’s fairly obvious. But it is incorrect to say that Halliburton controlled U.S. foreign policy. It’s like saying a remora controls the shark or the tick controls the dog.
1
@stephennolan2250 The UK is a 51st state? Look, the U.S. is a multilingual country with no official language, but we are not equipped to incorporate British English. Sorry, but no. Maybe they can become a protectorate of the U.S. or something, like Puerto Rico.
1
Also, to be fair, the U.S. has had its own issues with maintenance and modernization of our strategic nukes since the end of the Cold War. Perhaps it’s worse under a Kleptocracy, but 🤷🏻♀️.

Inflatable children’s swimming pools.

@taylorc2542 It didn’t happen because there aren’t surplus gripens. Whether or not these F-16s arrive quickly in sufficient numbers to fight in 2025, their real power will be keeping the peace after the conflict is over.
1
He was talking about the U.S. Congress, not sexual congress with ur mom. Talk about bloated and overreaching!
1
Mexico was a major manufacturer of shoes before China opened up. Major brands built their shoes in León for sale in the U.S. (I remember K-Swiss was one such company.) They already were the cobbler of the U.S.

You can’t drive a downloadable videogame to work.

Weeks ago, but it does seem like months. I agree, it’s not clear if this is a viable workaround for heavy equipment. It might be, it might not. Russia also has a fleet of barges to ferry vehicles and troops across the river in either direction. Yes, they are vulnerable, but that doesn’t mean they’re not useful.
1
Is it that hard of a decision for Italy’s literally fascist government to invade Libya? 😅 But seriously, is it that hard to do a deal with the 4-year old unity government, which seems to be keeping a lid on unrest? It might take some greasing of the major rival factions, but that’s the cost of doing business. Anyway, I’d call the Libyan political situation “stable but precarious”. If you’re going to go in and bribe political factions, do it in a way that you don’t upset the balance.
1
Are you thinking it should be retreat and mobilize? Or perhaps “don’t attack, don’t mobilize” would have been the best overall strategy for Russia? 😅 I bet we can agree on that.
1
You must be new here. You’re going to love winter time in Colorado, when Pete wears a variety of funny knit caps as he trucks along.
1
@secretname4190 woah there, hold your horses. Getting a little hot in the saddle there, amigo? I don’t agree with Chris, but I don’t think he’s lying, as you say. There’s actually a grain of truth there because the threat represented by the U.S.S.R. most certainly was a unifying force that helped European countries overcome their differences. His mistake is that he is forgetting the history of 1990-2020, when the Europeans no longer had the Soviets to fear and China wasn’t recognized as a looming threat. Being weak on history, in fact quite ignorant of recent history, doesn’t make Chris a liar. It simply makes him misinformed.
1
This is sarcasm, right?

Don’t be a Maas-hole. 😉
