@Laurelinad Imagine my surprise pulling out the dipstick only to find it's just a plug.
2
Pierce Manufacturing has it's HQ where I live. They make ARFF equipment as well as fire trucks.
2
Not sure why you think people can't fly drones over your house at less than 400 ft.
2
Then watch it in parts or don't watch it.
2
Good job by your daughter to let you know about the gun. Better for you know and it be safe than not knowing and something happening.
2
Seeing professionals on the struggle bus makes us DIY'ers feel better.
2
@sunxishan I'm just saying that it should be up the the customer to decide.
2
@JasonJohnson-yu8zf Should be up to the customer to decide.
2
@JasonJohnson-yu8zf All I am saying is it should be the customers choice.
2
Why would you want to run E85?
2
Ray is lucky he doesn't live in the rust belt or he might change his thinking on lubricating the slides. Of course there is lubricating and just slathering it.
2
That car is called "mechanics special" where I live.
2
Interesting pressure relief system on that unit.
2
Ray, ever considered installing a catch can / oil-air separator?
2
All it needs is a new engine, transmission and suspension :)
2
Amsoil, cheaper and better quality than OEM
2
Get it dry ice blasted before undercoating for maximum adhesion.
2
Hard to insult a company that you can't even spell the name of.
2
Did the last person put the filter on with an impact gun?
2
Oil is supposed to be changed based on distance and time. Oil needs to be changed every year regardless of mileage, unless you are doing UOA. Ray, are you using Signature Series oil or just OE?
2
I think getting an inspection before you buy is a better idea. Time for a BG Dynamic Engine Treatment.
2
Ray, get yourself a reusable oil filter then you only need to buy it once.
1
@hotpuppy1 No, they are designed to filter for as long as your oil change interval, then they get washed with brake clean (Ray's favorite), dried and put back.
1
Got one for the other foot?
1
Cleaning the bucket seats is pretty easy to do with a couple products and a leather brush. Labocosmetica Derma Cleaner and Derma Sealant.
1
Just replace the cables, or is the customer too cheap to pay for that?
1
Lots of flavor on this truck. Just needs a new frame.
1
Would have been nice if it had air brakes then he could have stopped.
1
As VW and Audi are the same company....
1
It's the no mercy reversey
1
I think you found out why the brake pedal went to the floor
1
I never use self checkout.
1
Time to file for workers comp? lol
1
I would get the charge correct installed first as you ran out of refrigerant.
1
When your tires go rusty it's time for new ones.
1
VR will not replace mechanics as someone still has to do the physical work.
1
Rotor tip seal failure?
1
You didn't do it for no reason, you did it for the video.
1
@lukas187 Which is bad advice as different people have different hand tightness. This leads to things mentioned in the video, like the quick lube techs that "over torque". If everyone used a torque wrench then there wouldn't be any issues.
1
@lukas187 Which ones aren't reachable? It's not about it leaking but rather over tightening it.
1
After being sick your eyecrometer just needs recalibrating.
1
It's still cheaper to fix than it is to buy a new car. Things at the dealership always cost at least 2x more.
1
Have you tried melting it out with oxyacetylene?
1
I never have a problem paying a small, under $100 diagnostic fee as now I am educated on what and why.
1
Does it matter how it looks when you are welding on an exhaust that you won't see, as long as the noise is gone?
1
Worth fixing? As a side project maybe or for a farm truck. Sounds like a diesel when it's at idle.
1
That's not the right color for diff fluid.
1
If you had a heat pump in the shop then you would have heat and ac in the same unit.
1
As if sounding smart is bad thing, geeze.
1
Based on what "steve" says it doesn't sound remotely like what a cetane increasing additive does. Sounds more like a diesel injector cleaner.
