  9. What occurred to me about Walz is that he has not been a big, nationwide public figure before this. Yet when he went out on that stage, he seemed so comfortable speaking to that very large auditorium. The way he could pick people out of the crowd. The expressions on his face. He really cares about people. He really cares about the messages he is sending. Tim Walz is by no means a consultant-coached, test-group-approved politician and that is a very good thing.

This was not a smear; it was a genuine criticism. Watch the video in the link I posted. Nothing in that video is a smear. Yang is simply not telling the truth in his commercial. Andrew Yang does not support Medicare For All. I wish he did. I agree this is not a purity test. People like Yang and Buttigieg who do not support M4A should be touting how great they think private insurance or a public option are, not trying to piggyback on genuine support for M4A. Medicare For All is an actual bill (two bills really, one in the house and the other in the senate). Andrew Yang does not support Medicare For All, which is for Everyone and which gets rid of private health insurance. Read the damn bill. You are entitled to your own opinions; you are not entitled to your own facts.

  12. Florida is batshit crazy. I lived there for 8 years. My upstairs drug-addicted neighbors would make noise all hours of the night. I called the cops on them. The cops told me that they were "model citizens" and sided with the drug addicts because they worked as security guards. They have a record; I have no record. I was so happy to leave the hellhole known as Florida.

  13. I lived in Europe for two years. They did not have quite the nearly unrestricted free speech laws nor the unlimited access to guns that we have here in the states. I never felt afraid for saying anything that could get me arrested. I even made a few jokes about their king. One evening I had been out walking in the downtown area there. About fifteen minutes later, a crazy man attacked two teenagers with a weapon right where I had been. I saw it on the local news there. Both of those teenagers survived. Their attacker was quickly subdued and arrested by the police. He used a knife, not a gun.

Lieberman supported Bush's failed wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and Bush's disastrous economic policies which resulted in the economic collapse of 2008. The only words Lieberman should say are "I'm sorry" and "I was wrong".

  29. My mom died years ago in part from COPD from decades of smoking. When she couldn't breathe, everything else started failing. Excruciating pain for years before she died. I have had five COVID shots. I was living in Europe when the pandemic broke out. I wore masks even though most people in that country were not. I took one plane trip, back to the USA because my immigration was expiring. I wore both a cloth mask as well as a plastic shield on the plane. I never contracted COVID. It is so stupid that when there is a deadly virus vs. innocent humans, so many people help the virus.

  33. Of course she hates flight attendants. I knew a guy who had to drive to the airport then fly 1-2 hours to another city before boarding the plane where he worked. He didn't get paid until he was on his plane. It only made sense for him to work overseas flights, so he would be gone for 3-4 days from his partner. Flight attendants have to put up with a lot of crap and don't get paid very much for it. Elitist Ms. Pirro gets paid millions to look nasty and talk dumb...or is it to look dumb and talk nasty. Greg Gianforte, the same governor of Montana in this story who signed a law barring Montana from calculating climate impacts of projects in the state, previously assaulted a journalist from the Guardian after the journalist asked him a question about the Republican healthcare bill. Gianforte threw the journalist to the ground and punched him. Gianforte pled guilty to misdemeanor assault but was only sentenced to community service, anger management classes, and a $385 fine. Gianforte also lied to the police claiming the reporter initiated the violence. Gianforte was not sent to prison.

  36. I live in the USA. 2 years ago, I had a colonoscopy. They sent paperwork with appt. card a few weeks after at 11pm. 3 phone calls to get them to clarify if it was 11am. They were nasty, said not enough staff to answer their calls. I went to the appt. It took <30 seconds for the assistant to tell me everything was fine. Copay: $75!!! A week ago, I went to my routine knee surgeon appt. after I had surgery last year. They refused to see me. I pay my insurance every month (~$165 Obamacare, gov't pays ~$435!). I would have paid the copay of $65. But I did not have a new referral after I changed insurance. Horrible.

  41. I was living in Europe then. I went to some kind of an expat fair there where the US embassy had a booth. I asked a woman who worked for the US embassy whether I should be worried about COVID. She said it was nothing more than the flu. I don't know whether she was a political staffer, but her comments sounded a lot like Trump's at that time.

  45. The defense attorney for Chauvin, and it is his job to defend his client, keeps arguing that Chauvin had to keep his knee on Floyd because of the crowd. The crowd was not violent and was not a threat. If Chauvin had done what the crowd wanted, which was also what the police were trained to do, then the defense attorney is arguing, that would have made the crowd become violent. His logic is so twisted and nonsensical.
