  4. Dems should have scheduled something like three witnesses for each side, not for the final vote but to make a better case for the public. That way, last minute witnesses could be substituted in easily. When the facts are on your side, you want witnesses. I agree that nothing would have changed the outcome. I also think that the Dems made a superb case against Trump. It's rare that I commend the Dems in Congress.

  5. We've seen this before. In 2009-2010, Dems had control of the White House and both houses of Congress. Instead of giving voters what we wanted, Dems argued with one another, with conservative Dems getting what they wanted. Dems passed the Republican health plan known as Obamacare. No universal coverage; no single payer; not even a public option. After that, Republicans took back control of both houses in a landslide, and eventually Donald Trump won. History is repeating.

  10. The recently leaked anti-abortion Supreme Court draft opinion took the US Constitution very literally, stating that nowhere in the Constitution is abortion even mentioned. The Second Amendment is "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." So no, you should not have the right to bear arms unless you are in a well regulated Militia and only to the security of a free State. Not for citizens. Not for protecting yourself. And no modern firearms since they were not explicitly listed in the Second Amendment.

I went there under the Dutch American Friendship Treaty, which made it much easier to get a residence permit. However, I would have had to make enough money from the business I started there to renew after 2 years. That was not possible for me, so I had to leave. Great country, but Seattle-like weather. I am now considering Portugal. Too many Americans have already moved there. I read online that it is not as difficult to move there but still a lot of red tape and you have get things squared away with their consulate before you go. It helps a lot to either have a job which allows you to live anywhere, to be very wealthy so you don't need to work, or to have passive income. Good luck. I loved the Netherlands. I miss it.

A female reporter for far-right-wing outlet Breitbart alleged that Lewandowski grabbed her arm so hard when he got angry at her that it caused bruises. She showed photos of the bruises on her arm. She was shocked that Breitbart would not stand up for her, so she quit. It says a lot about the Republicans that Corey Lewandowski is still around.

Donald Trump became President in 2017 with both chambers of Congress already controlled by Republicans. Trump left office in 2021, losing the House, Senate, and Presidency in the November 2020-January 2021 elections. Trump won once losing spectacularly when he left. McConnell won 6 six-year terms. Republicans are siding with loser Trump.

Before seeing these polls, I thought that the DNC, Obama, Clyburne, and the corporate media would pick Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris for the 2024 Democratic nominee (no matter what Dem primary voters want). However, now that I see that 70+ percent of respondents do NOT want Joe Biden to run, the DNC, Obama, Clyburne, and the corporate media will obviously pick Joe Biden to run again. Biden (or Hillary or Kamala Harris) will lose to Republican nominee Ted Cruz or Tucker Carlson. I am out of here by 2025.

  29. Sioux County has 15 out of 16 precincts reporting. The caucus manager of the 16th said she was running two precincts in the same location. Bernie did not do well in the smaller precinct, but he got 50% of the vote in the larger one. Guess which precinct has not been reported yet? Of course, the precinct Bernie won. She said she submitted the results for both precincts at the same time. The smaller one was reported Tuesday.

MSNBC fired their #1 host at the time, Phil Donahue, in 2003 because he correctly spoke out against the Iraq war. MSNBC fired Ed Schultz in 2015. MSNBC president at the time Phil Griffin told Schultz five minutes before air time that he could not cover Bernie Sanders' announcement he was running for president. According to Schultz, Griffin told him, "you're not covering Bernie Sanders."
