  8. @ I have been to college but that was to study Electrical Engineering. Worked on pre production of Nuclear Power station control gear. Working on vehicles came later learned sitting with Anny. Plus training courses. But at one stage was the only person in town that could use a Crypton Tuner for working on vehicles rather than have on as an expensive coffee table.

  9. @ Unfortunately we are surrounded by tall trees so solar panels are out. But I have a friend ( 50 degrees north ) who has solar and a PowerWall. They run two EVs almost totally off grid. He even tows a fixed double berth RV. Charging overnight at camp grounds. Tyres are more expensive but apart from that it doesn’t take much more servicing than a washing machine. Yes there was an initial investment in solar. But he claims a better return than putting the money in the bank. My vehicles are both ICE. So I am not an EV weirdo. But if I had the sun I would be tempted by year old EVs.

  11.  @Logans3Run If the Police hand out a suspect’s name it can effect the result of any subsequent trial. The alleged perp’s lawyer will use it as a defence saying the publicity will have ruined his chance of a fair trial. Ask for the case to be thrown out.

  12. @Cj-lb2xxHe gained over 50% of the vote. The runner up who gained over 40% of the vote also had dealing with vehicle pollution in their manifesto. That’s over 90% of the vote in favour. Hardly a minority.
