  3. ULEZ has a democratic mandate. Two people who promoted action on vehicle emissions pick up over 90% of the vote in the last Mayoral election. The Mayor picked up over 50%. The Mayor has kept his promise to the electorate. All the anti ULEZ losers look like they can’t afford a decent motor.

Non stop it would take over 30 hours to reach home from Orkney. Do you really thing I would/could do that ? TV licence I only have one. Don’t watch any sort of TV at the flat so that property is correctly licensed without having one.

  9.  @JimmyTerryPWL  Spelling is hard work. Spell checker are great other can I have difficulty knowing if a word is spelled correctly. Or sometimes even if it the correct word for the context.

  10. In the last London Mayoral election the two people who had tackling vehicle pollution in their manifesto polled over 90% of the votes. Looks like the malcontents are very much in the minority. There appears to be some sabotage going on. Wonder how long before enough evidence has been gathered for the perps to end up in court ?

  18. Scotland has had 20 zones for decades. They haven’t caused me a problem while driving there. I’ve driven in Wales since their 20 limits came into play. Claims the Wales has a blanket 20 limit are untrue.

  19.  @TayWoode  I’m not in Scotland. But in the last year I traveled as far north as Unst. Logan Gardens in the South West. Plus Bigger in the South East. There are 20 limits all over have been for at least a decade.

  24.  @ascgazz  It is a TV licence not a BBC TV licence. The money collected goes to the Government. Doesn’t the Government also fund Chanel 4 ? Along with part funding radio & TV transmitters used by the other networks.

  25. No way I would want to be stuck on a cruise ship. Fine for a short time but stuck in a small cabin. Food very much supplied on a budget. Sod all entertainment except TV or Video. Rather you than me.

  26.  @paradisebreeze1705  The small village shop I helped out in some years back. Did support big business. Purchased some stock from the supermarket because it was cheaper than cash & carry. It self a large business. The fruit & veg wholesale lorry only came round twice week.

  27. A friend used to live in Leamington Spa. They have had low traffic areas for a couple of decades. Welcomed by some narrow streets who were fed up with vehicles cutting through along with their streets being full of non residents vehicles parked overnight.

  49.  @IOMMatt  All the more reason for investing in second hand EV. They are great value for money & compared to ICE vehicles are generally cheaper to run.

  50.  @tellitasitis2024  Perhaps drive an EV instead. Purchased used after someone has taken the devaluation. They are less stressful to drive. Servicing costs are minimal. With solar & a PowerWall there is also the potential to run them off grid.
