They had him in the impeachments (20-30 years ago, he would have been convicted for either) but those are political so Senators aren't required to base their verdicts on the evidence or the law. He doesn't have such protection here. So don't be surprised if he gets convicted on at least a couple of charges, or ends up taking some sort of plea. Biden could actually save him if he wanted to... he could also make things worse for him by exercising the same power Trump claimed to use to declassify everything, to reclassify it all. That way any copies Trump might have made and kept would become illegal. So far, he's done the right thing and just stayed out of it. Well, short of mocking him a bit anyway.

  39. With a proper declassification, such documents will be officially marked as declassified. None of what was recovered was so marked (edit: it would have been on the cover sheets shown in the photo had they been.) There's actually a law that classified documents not officially marked declassified cannot be removed or destroyed which applies even if they've been verbally declassified by a President.

  40.  @jimnasium7700  Voting yes is a loss. The main budget can be forced through with reconciliation, so the opposition can be left out of the loop entirely. They should have a voice here considering that less than 50% of voters voted for this regime. They're giving one of the few bits of power they have up by voting yes. They should vote no until the Republicans allow input from all sides on the bill.

The four (out of twelve total) unions that rejected an earlier Biden proposal (which was quite worker friendly) could just as easily not done so and renegotiated later when the economy was no longer so fragile/volatile. Instead, they got a bit greedy and opted to try and extort everything they wanted regardless of the consequences doing so would have for the country.
