Because it's already been debunked.
2
@edipires15 Actually, it only took a few hours to admit we shot it down. It was the full disclosure of the circumstances which led to it that took years.
2
Indecision works out a little better on average than the inability to make good decisions...Neither are particularly desirable though.
2
The strongest force working against President Trump is his own delusional mind.
1
You'd think the fact that his wife no longer wants to be around him would tell him something...Some women like to baby their husbands...but very few like their husbands to actually behave like a baby...
1
That rumor comes from someone using the 2018 number of registered voters. The final vote tally is well under the 2020 number of registered.
1
We'll see what you say in four years.
1
This little temper tantrum of his is actually going to cost Florida much more than it will Disney. Once that's realized by Floridians and taxes are increased to make up the difference, he may not be so invulnerable...

Lol. Fearmongering much? Any "help" that might come from China will be in the form of helping themselves to Eastern Russia in the confusion of the Russian military coups that will come if Putin doesn't get back on his meds soon. In multiple press conferences Comrade Pooty has shown signs of the same senile eyes Biden has most of the time (blank wide pupil 1,000 yard stare.) The drugs and conditioning KGB agents were exposed to back in the day lead nearly all of them to early mental collapse by their late 60's early 70's (and it looks like Putin didn't get lucky enough to dodge that bullet.) China is just as annoyed with Putin as everyone else (including his own generals) and are not impressed with the Russian military either. They now know that Russia is a liability as an ally not a benefit. They'll play nice for the cameras and maybe throw some token "aid" Russia's way but they're done with Russia at a more serious level...or at least Putin's Russia.
1
@itWouldBeWise Shh...you're making sense. People who think going back to gold would be a good idea will never comprehend such arguments.
1
He's in trouble because he has once again ignored the moderate, centrist, and true independent vote. The all or nothing hard line right approach and his iron grip over his party are huge red flags to them and they decide the election. He may have thought that chasing out the moderates in his party and replacing them with sycophants was a good idea or that ordering his party not to work with his opponent on any issues would help his support, but all it did was scare off votes from the demographics he needed to have a chance.
1
We're trying...there seems to be a large bloated mango colored object clogging the drain. Worry not though shouldn't take much longer.
1
We'll see. Last I checked religion and the law weren't supposed to mix but conservatives try to whip up that cocktail anytime they can...not very constitutional of them.
1
While I personally don't agree with her appointment due to her potential religious bias. For purposes of election issues, she doesn't need to recuse herself. If she's qualified for the job, she can make the correct decision. She, like everyone other than evangelicals, is well aware that Trump is a false Christian so her bias won't get in the way there. At least not in his favor.
1
@sloggnznorgin6285 Well, you can evidently read so I suggest you do some research on the articles and published papers she's written over the years in favor of judges letting their religious beliefs influence their legal decisions. She put a a lot of effort into it and the issue evidently means a great deal to her as she has been a member of various groups with like beliefs on and off over the years as well (which you can also research.) Though she's apparently had a miraculous change of mind on the subject...starting around the time she was informed she was being nominated for SCOTUS. In my experience, people don't change such long held beliefs that abruptly. Even if they themselves think they have. As for me being a hypocrite...I'm not the one who was nominated for SCOTUS and never will be with my checkered past. I merely looked into the past of someone who was and didn't like what I saw or fully buy their assurances that that their personal preferences wouldn't influence their decisions. She put herself up for judgement by accepting the nomination. There's nothing hypocritical about obliging her by researching her career and passing such judgement.

@stuarthancock571 He's is KGB you know. They're pretty much the real world equivalent of the twisted mentats in Dune. No strategy, no matter what the cost and/or morality, is off limits when he calculates.

Don't get too cocky. The only reason Trump is President and will likely remain so is because the Dems can't get behind a single candidate. That's not an issue for them when it comes to legislative candidates. It's more likely that they will take the Senate than lose the House. Especially if McConnell remains on his path to political suicide by ignoring his constitutional responsibilities as a Senator during an impeachment trial. If he moves to dismiss the trial immediately or gives only a token effort, it will likely cost the Republicans the Senate (and him his job going by his current approval ratings). Outside of internet echochambers and biased media, there are a lot of voters from both parties as well as independents who dislike what they're seeing from Trump's side more than from Pelosi's. Many will likely vote Trump or simply not vote for a President at all since the Dems don't have an electable alternative. They will however let their opinions be known when it comes to House and Senate races.
1
Indeed. NATO would be in even worse condition and we'd be assisting Putin in his invasion...
1
It's all pointless anyway. Once there's evidence and testimony to support the claims of an anonymous informant, the identity of the informant becomes irrelevant. The only reason Republican representatives keep obsessing over the the whistle-blower is because they don't have any relevant arguments with which to defend the President's actions.
1
Kudlow could use a little work on his ability to recognize and analyze long games.
1
The tax breaks Disney was getting weren't really that significant and the gain in revenue from their loss will not be enough to cover the costs. If the counties/state were to attempt to add more taxes on Disney to cover the difference, most of the state would be underwater by the time the courts were through with all the lawsuits Disney would file (and likely win.)
1
You do not want to see what's beneathall that make up...
1
That rumor has already been debunked. It came from someone comparing the 2018 number of registered voters rather than the 2020 number to the final tally. Compared to the right number, the vote counts are lower than the number of registered voters.
1
Trump still owes Chinese banks/creditors nearly $1B in unpaid loans...Compared to that, Hunter would be small fry (assuming the social media conspiracy nonsense about him is actually true to begin with...which is doubtful.)
1
@mrrey8937 I've read the entire thing and, for the most part, find it to be a far more effective plan than the others when it comes to long term recovery. It has quite a bit of stuff that may seem only distantly related/complimentary to the obvious areas of concern, but the vast majority of it will be beneneficial in the long run.
1
Ask the Reagan family.
1
I hope so.
1
"Judge" Cannon is the answer to your question. She ignored many SCOTUS decisions made over decades in favor of making up her own to dismiss the charges against her fellow Republican Trump. She even contradicted some of her own past rulings to do so. Between her and "Justices" Thomas and Alito, Republican judges are sorely lacking in credibility these days when it comes to anything related to Donald Trump.
1
For a cougar maybe...
1
Probably because like most of his supporters, you don't socialize outside of your clique.
1
And yet all are funding pro-Trump bot campaigns on social media...
1
@beverlyweigandbizjak8821 Babbit killed herself by cop. Get over it.
1
@beverlyweigandbizjak8821 About what?
1
The lowliest of jobs should at least pay enough to cover basic needs. The current minimum isn't enough in that regard. Personally, I think it would be better to have the federal limit set based on the average cost of living of a handfull of the cheapest states and then let the states do their own fine tuning via state set minimum wages from there.
1
Have fun storming the castle...
1
As one of her constituents, I would ask that you allow her to suffer the penalty for her childish behavior for once in her life. It'll do her some good. She's far too old to be acting like a child. Until she's forced to actually grow up, she's just going to be an embarrassment to the state.
1
They don't. That rumor was started by someone comparing the vote tally to the 2018 number of registered voters. Compared to the 2020 number, there are fewer votes than people registered.
1
If he only had a brain and level headed temperment to go with that backbone...
1
I wonder what the economic collapse that will hit during his second term will get him...
1
Those riots are the responsibility of the State/local government first. The only role the feds should play is defending federal property. If the local officials don't have a problem with their city being destroyed so be it. That's between them and their constituents. If they can't stop it, then they can request federal assistance.
1
Well, probably not for the GOP...
1
@budbroz6412 Joe ain't in charge. It's rule by committee. Which, while not the most well picked committee, is still wiser than an wannabe know it all like Trump.
1
As far as politicians go, Sen. Grassley is one of the more respectable ones but he's wrong here. If nothing else (and there's quite a bit of "else"),Trump's ordering people to ignore House subpoenas (obstruction of congress) and his violation of the Inpoundment Control act (abuse of power) definitely fall under the definition of high crimes and misdemeanors as they pertain to impeachment in the constitution and the overall scheme meets the definition of bribery. I understand that Senate Republicans would rather not have to deal with this (being forced to openly let Trump off for political reasons when they know he's guilty will not go well for their reputations in the long run) but they need to stop with the bs and face reality. They made a mistake when they backed a dishonest con artist for President and got burned. They now have two choices, double down on that mistake by voting the party line or admit it and vote their conscience. Sadly, we all know which path most of them will choose.
1
If he hadn't made it one of his missions to destablize NATO while he was in office, they may have been in a better position to oppose Putin on this...Shame, that he only seems to get smart well after his own stupidity helps cause a problem and he no longer has any say in the matter.
1
This is actually going to cost the state significantly more than it will Disney and was entirely unnecessary. DeSantis is going to need to stay in the minor leagues at least until he gets better at thinking before he acts and learns not to take politics personally. Inability to control temper tantrums like this at the national level can do far more harm than it can at the state level.
1
Yeah, neither of the two turds we had to choose from recently were particularly shiny. It was more a change of scent...
1
Well, if nothing else, Trump supporters will at least create a huge increase in the need for mental health workers over the next decade or so. Maybe all of those poor saps with degrees in the field will actually be able to find a use for them beyond their current role as very expensive beer coasters.
1
@billiechristiansen126 Actually, no. The breaks Disney were getting were not that significant to begin with. The overall increase to state revenue with their loss will not be enough to cover the cost.
1
Nah, he made the same mistake this time that he did last time. He ignored the existence of the moderate/centrist demographic and they ultimately decide Presidential elections. In fact, he actively drove away their votes over the last four years by ordering a purge of the moderates in his party to replace them with sycophants. Also, by ordering said sycophants not to work with his opponents and to block their legislation straight up. The middle leaners don't want an iron fist. They want grown adults who can disagree but still work together.
1
@kimkulesa3041 Hopefully. We haven't exactly shown much skill in picking our leaders these days...
