His Generals named it F-47 to keep their jobs... such a vain man... with a cabinet full of Boeing stockholders whose deadline for divesting is coming up...
2
Trump and Musk. I thought that was obvious.
2
The high Canadian tariff on our milk only kicks in after we export more than 18% of their market share... They intentionally capped their own milk production to allow us that high market share as part of the trade agreement. Not only is Trump an idiot, he's also being completely disingenuous about Canada's high tariffs (the vast majority are structured like milk in that they don't kick in until an agreed upon cap.)
2
Hopefully our Congress will stand up to Trump when he pulls similar stunts.
2
Trump really needs to improve the vetting process for those he endorses/surrounds himself with. Charged or not, that's something that should jave been known about before appointment. Vanity Fair of all sources knew before the administration. You'd also think that would be something Hegseth would have mentioned to them in advance if he wants to be seen as a trusted advisor.
2
Unfortunately there aren't many thinkers left in America. Many thought mindless and pointless manufacturing jobs would always be there.
2
That's the only image you're going to get from that camera. It isn't part of the scientific instruments. The mission uses infrared camera and a gamma ray spectrometer.
2
He's bluffing. He knows that he would have no support for using such drastic measures over something as unnecessary as this. He's also not stupid enough to ride a failed bluff all the way down. The best response would be for those countries friendly to the Ukraine to ignore him and raise the pot by expelling all Russian diplomats, freezing any Russian assets they have, and ceasing all trade with Russia until every last Russian soldier is withdrawn from Ukraine. Those capable of doing so should also begin sending troops and air power to assist in Ukraine's defense. He'll fold...if not then yeah, you're right. The problem will get taken care of internally if not by the military, then by the people.
2
@eQuariuz It's the other way around. Russian bots react immediately to new videos. Real commenters come along later. That's why all the pro Russia/Putin responses to such videos flood in early and then get overwhelmed.
2
Why? Because she has a level head and speaks reality over fiction?
2
Hopefully, Noem will put more effort into this job than she did into dealing with Covid in her state... it would be a shame if she were responsible for many unnecessary deaths of Americans in general and not just those in SD.
2
@Jason_556 Russia agreed not to invade them in the Budapest Memorandum... that went well. Are you really so naive?
2
He's not doing any work. He and his 20 tech bros (average age 22) are just using an AI program to decide what to cut without even checking the lists for essential positions.
2
Nixon began the process. The treaty was just finalized under Carter.
2
Good. The man was a pure fascist.
2
Or turning himself in to the ICC.
2
All food will get more expensive. People don't realize how much of our fertilizer comes from Canada. Housing will go up as well due to timber...
2
@blakewooley6626 49.9% voted for this...
2
@zart3374 Efficiency comes from experience. Trial and error comes from youth. Your comment makes no sense.
2
@WesleySnipes3568 We were recovering from the Covid global economic meltdown quicker than most countries. The current administration has our economy going backward now. Which one was incompetent again?
2
The world was a little too averse to genocide...
2
They said it was supposed to be a negotiating tactic and wouldn't actually happen... painful when your rationalizations of madness come crashing down I guess.
2
Why bother. This country is dead.
2
It was a strategically important location at the time. Still is in a few ways. Edit: It controls the entrance to the Black Sea for one.
2
@Benroe-yz1nz We were in an upswing until he got elected... Economically, we were recovering from Covid better than most other countries. That's all gone now. Trump threw it away on a whim. You don't need to fix what isn't broken.
2
Leave traitor.
2
They said AK style gun which is accurate.
2
JD could really use her advice on how to properly apply his eyeliner though.
2
Maybe that will keep him from ever coming here again.
2
Cue the hacker's release of what they got...
2
Many Americans, even some MAGA, find Trump's Neville Chamberlain attitude toward Ukraine to be appalling and un-American. Some of those are likely unstable enough to try and do something about it if the opportunity presents itself.
2
It's cut to all states. New Mexico is also asking for firefighter funding to be restored for example.
2
Supply chain can't turn on a dime, but our President's decision making sure can...
2
@millan11697 ~40% of our fertilizer comes from Canada...
2
You left out dignity...it's in the negative now.
2
True, and the Senate passed it 85 to 11.
2
This is a truthful network so they couldn't run such a headline.
2
Your department is 20 people, average age 22, all with backgrounds in tech/AI (no auditors) who are just using an AI program to blindly make cuts. They couldn't even set up their website without leaving it wide open to hackers.
2
Absolutely not. When someone bluffs like Putin is attempting to, you raise the pot not call (and definitely not fold.) Countries friendly to Ukraine should cease all diplomatic and economic interaction with Russia until every Russian soldier has been withdrawn from Ukraine. Expel their diplomats, freeze any assets they have and cease all trade. Those who can should begin sending troops and air power to assist in Ukraine's defense. Unlike the missile crisis, Putin's position is far too weak to bother taking him seriously and his actions are obvious bluffs. The fact that he's resorted to childish threats gives it away. You only threaten from a weak position. If you're secure with your position then you simply do your thing because you've already planned for the possibility of others getting involved etc. Edit: A better historical comparison would be Hitler leading up to WWII. He started with a small invasion, the world let him do it for the sake of "peace." He launched a larger invasion. Again he was allowed to as long as he promised not to do it again. He did it again... With each successful bluff, his position strengthened until he was actually strong enough to no longer be bluffing and it took a full scale war to dislodge him. Had the world nipped it in the bud early on by coming over the top of his early bluffs, the war and holocaust likely would not have occurred or at least wouldn't have been so destructive.
2
The VP trick is pretty much the only way he could do it... and that assumes a) that people would go along with it and b) that Vance wouldn't simply tell him to go sit in the corner and be quiet if elected.
1
@larsongramckow7495 Nah, it works. The 22nd amendment only prevents running for President for a third term.
1
@zachfreedom644 Well it isn't going to remain in use when he leaves. It's going to his Presidential Library...
1
Lost almost all of our friends as well.

After what they did in China, sanctions were not nearly enough.

@TheOpethOfMastodon At 24+ weeks, if a fetus dies in the womb (and thus removed in some fashion) or is prematurely delivered dead, then it's considered a stillborn "baby" because at that stage it is potentially viable. Otherwise, it's technically a fetus until it is successfully delivered. I would agree that abortions at 24 weeks (or perhaps as low as 20 weeks since it's possible for a fetus to "survive" on machines outside the womb at that point) and beyond should not be allowed except in very serious conditions (mother's health for example) but even when I was religious I never understood where the problem is before then. There's no consciousness prior to at least 24 weeks (due to the state of brain development.) Essentially, a fetus prior to that stage is just a chasis without the necessities to mount a mind/soul/whatever to it. I would think self awareness/consciousness would be the point at which it could be considered a unique individual.

The war has nothing to do with Hamas or the hostages. It's a long planned land grab via any means necessary which had been waiting for Hamas to provide an excuse to implement it.
1
We have an administration full of guys with a history of inserting themselves where they don't belong... just saying.
1
Your spellchecker malfunctioned. "American media" was clearly erroneously substituted for "Trump".
1
We may within the next four years.

Mandatory minimums... The DA/prosecutor are the ones who deserve scorn for the ridiculous sentence. The judge didn't have a choice. Stacking so many charges that came with consecutive sentences was uncalled for and this was not the kind of case to pad their records with.
