Probably Russia eventually via Iran.

Must be nice being rich

You left out his attempt to sabotage NATO and US interests in Europe by closing command centers and bases in Germany. Thankfully, the military dragged their feet and his plans are now on ice but enough was done to give Putin the opportunity to try stunts like this invasion knowing that a rapid response would not be possible due to the chaos.
1
@OrficeMagmar And yet they've already cut 750 nuclear safety workers they're now desperately trying to "unfire" along with 20 immigration court judges they need for their deportation plan... and got their website hacked hard... maybe he should have stuck to deciphering scrolls... just saying.
1
No they don't. History has shown that multiple times. Try again.
1
Look into Musk's history of selling user data from X and of leaking private messages when he pitches a hissy fit and tell me you'd feel safe letting him and anyone he picks go through your financial records with no oversight or accountability...
1
Our enemies are Trump's friends... more accurately his role models.
1
He deserves some punishment. He had opportunities to lessen the scope of the accident and didn't take them. 110 years is riduculous though. Definitely not the kind of situation for a prosecutor/DA to pad their records by stacking charges.
1
@dougjones3305 possibly all the loopholes that make them currently pointless. Many states don't require background checks for private sales or inheritance. All it takes is to find someone who doesn't know you're a felon to privately sell you whatever. Even if ID is required, there's nothing on a driver's license that denotes one is a felon so the seller would be oblivious. Remove the serial number afterwards and you're good to go.
1
@gulfmarine8857 That was before Trump showed fear of Putin in the debate and all but said he'd sell Ukraine out if Russia made enough threats. Even some MAGA folk still believe selling out a country we have a signed agreement to defend from Russian invasion is wrong and borderline un-American.
1
Musk opted for no transparency of his own financial records, no background checks, etc. Why should he get to look at anyone else's? We're talking about someone who is only keeping X afloat by selling users' personal data to all buyers.
1
Multiple cities and states have joined the lawsuit. You've got someone who sells X users' data to any buyer and has a history of leaking private messages when he pitches a hissy fit with access to sensitive personal data of Americans without any oversight or accountability. Edit: Also, the courts have already essentially ruled in their favor with an order blocking DOGE from accessing such info and ordering any data they have already collected be deleted.
1
They already pre-emptively retaliated right after he started threatening to tariff them by blocking tech exports to us. They have no reason to try to play nice.
1
@Tccq-h9r China already retaliated in advance.
1
The UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate is the only "church" affected and it is fringe (4% of the population). It refused to cut ties with the Moscow church which is essentially an agent of the Russian state. Around 100 of it's "clergy" have been arrested for passing intelligence to Russia and using their pulpit to "preach" Russian propaganda... like condoning Russian war crimes as God's will and inciting their congregations to actively support the Russian invasion. Turn your church into an active political agent and it ceases to be a church.
1
Those Marines had a right to refuse an unlawful order and chose not to. Shame on them.
1
@pil0tfisch439 Depends on how he got it. Stiffer laws and prosecution on private sales/inheritance for example could have played a role.
1
We don'tbl deserve stimulus checks.
1
@CharlieHamas No, I do not suffer from Trump Devotion Syndrome. I suffer from the incompetence and lawlessness of this administration.
1
@TruthsHandmaid4444 Russia supports Trump...and the swamp he's creating.
1
@randyrenner7643 Couldn't didn't have his sycophants in Congress or SCOTUS fully in his pocket the whole time. This time he has a rubber stamp in all three branches of government. Edit: He also didn't have immunity for anything he does last time.
1
Tacking on so many charges knowing they came with consecutive sentences was unnecessary.
1
They started off exactly like MAGA...
1
There's a convoy that sticks out like a sore thumb and police everywhere...
1
@theadventurekidz-scienceho843 They're right most of the time.

@Bluelightning23 The better argument is to simply respect the 13th amendment's protection against involuntary servitude (which abortion bans violate.) There will never be a consensus based on an objective argument as to when exactly a fetus becomes a "person" for purposes of Constitutional rights. The mother however is clearly a person and definitely has her rights. There are hundreds of prior rulings from various courts which consider carrying and giving birth to be a form of work (generally the decisions where the final say was given to the mother because she has to do the work of carrying and giving birth.) If it's work, then it cannot be forced. Which is what abortion bans essentially do. SCOTUS said abortion wasn't directly protected. They never said it wasn't indirectly protected.
1
@girloninternet1188 Yes it is. Until ~20 weeks at the very earliest, the fetus is completely dependent upon the mother's body and is, at best, in a vegetative state and thus not self aware. That makes it a growth or extension of the mother's body. On the subjective side an argument can be made that, up until self awareness, it's simply a chasis in construction on to which a soul/mind can ultimately be mounted. Until that point, there's no reason to consider it anything more than a construction in progress by the woman's body.
1
@inboxnews It's a ceasing in construction of something that could potentially house a unique mind and thus be a unique individual. Until there's self awareness, that's all it is.
1
Did the administration really say the US could easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel? How delusional can one administration be? Iran just refused talks with the US and Israel...
1
The theory being that if the sanctions hurt civilians enough, they'll take matters into their own hands and remove the problem. Going by history, Russia is overdue for a good old fashioned civilian uprising/despot cleansing.
1
What does he care? He's never been a hard working American. We were just votes or vermin to him.
1
They tacked on tons of other charges for all the other traffic he put at risk etc. Many of whose sentences run consecutive as opposed concurrent.
1
Dude saw the convoy bringing him to the club, went home and got his gear. Golf is a slow game and they likely didn't hit the course immediately upon arrival. Plenty of time.
1
Don't give him too much credit. An executive order to the DoJ et al to enforce the 13th amendment's protection against involuntary servitude where attempts to ban abortions are inacted would end this nonsense quickly. There are at least hundreds of rulings from various courts which recognize carrying and giving birth as a form of work. If it's work, then it can't be forced. The executive order he's enacted here will likely be futile in the end.
1
@harperclarke4160 People in vegetative states and wholly dependent upon life support (which is at best what a fetus is until well after 20 weeks) can have said support terminated by their next of kin because they cannot decide for themselves. Unless there's enough brain development/function for self awareness, all you really have is a chasis with no mind/soul/whatever mounted to it.
1
More like "The Old Fart of the Deal."
1
The freeze on cost of living adjustment for Congressional salaries was not lifted in the final bill so... no, they did not get a raise.
1
States do not have the authority to violate the 13th amendment's protection against involuntary servitude.
1
@yoda9256 The 13th amendment's protection against involuntary servitude (which an abortion ban prior to viability at at least 20 weeks would essentially violate) ends any involvement of the 10th amendment. Edit: Hundreds of rulings in various courts in all states as far as I'm aware (not sure on the sparsely populated ones) have been based on the recognition of carrying and giving birth as a form of work. If it's work, it cannot be forced (which is what a state ban on abortion would ultimately do.)
1
@yoda9256 It's a distasteful argument but, the same way you aren't expected to allow an intestinal parasite feeding rights to you simply because you ate something in a foreign country with lax health codes while on vacation. People engage in all sorts of risky behavior which has nothing to do with you or me and thus is none of our business. When a simple medical procedure can take care of an undesired consequence of such behavior, being denied such a procedure based on the subjective beliefs of others is simply a form of tyranny and not what this country was founded on.
1
Just because the truth is inconvenient, it doesn't make it untrue.
1
I take it you've never been to a city council meeting... They're primarily attended by the local nutters and curmudgeons who are always complaining about the latest rumors etc. 99.9% of a city's population never attend them (many for the reason I just listed). They are not a good source to get the pulse of a city.

Cults rarely live up to their enticements.
1
If this is what the country has become, we don't deserve stimulus checks.
1
At least Trump's treasonous attempt to sabotage NATO and US interests in Europe by closing command centers and bases in Germany has been put on ice since Biden's administration took over...about the only intelligent thing they've done.
1
Unfortunately going through the State's Governor can only lead to commutation or clemency. They can't just arbitrarily set a new sentence. So there's not really any other reliable way to get the sentence reduced to something more appropriate. The prosecutor/DA should be a bit ashamed of themselves. Throwing tons of extra charges on just to pad your record isn't exactly honorable to begin with (even if it is perfectly legal) and doing so in an accident case like this is an exceptionally low blow and not in the spirit of the law.
1
This is what you get when you put untrained thugs with no background checks on the streets with no leadership and no accountability. It's only a matter of time before one of them messes up big time and we have a huge mess on our hands.
1
DOGE is just pumping all the data into generative AI while having no oversight and not having to follow the same data handling protocols as other agencies. It's a security threat if nothing else.
1
I'll believe it when China announces it. This administration lies too much to believe.
