  16. Dude(ess), I have a relative with long COVID-19. Just weeks before he got sick for the first time he participated in (and finished) a 100km cycling event and was a very happy guy. Since he got sick he is complaining about constant fatigue and pain. That's not stress, kid. Those are serious symptoms of long term changes in his body, be that vascularization and/or autoimmune problems.

  21. Natural immunity totally didn't work for my eight antivaxxer relatives. They got infected for a second time a couple of month's ago. If we take the time since the first infection in mid 2020, then they had, at most, immunity for 18 months, probably less than that. Severity of their symptoms and length of the disease don't seem to have been significantly better, either. In essence... they are suffering for naught and they have been infecting innocent people, too. One of them is a less than one year old baby. What in the world is that good for? Are you trying to kill your own children?

  29. The calculation is nonsensical to begin with because protection wanes over time due to decreasing antibody titer and the appearance of new variants. A serious epidemiological model would have to take those factors into account and will easily reproduce the actual annual reappearance of respiratory diseases like the flu and the varieties of the common cold. There simply is no natural immunity against these diseases. Unless we are willing to vaccinate entire populations for multiple years in addition to continued social distancing, this disease will stay with us and there is no guarantee that it will soften its impact on mortality and hospital utilization.
