  41.  @KiwikimNZ  If you look at the deaths in the US, roughly half are due to the lack of vaccines in the beginning. The other half are due to limited vaccination rates in many counties and states since. Counties with good socioeconomics and higher vaccination rates did much better than the average (one third of the deaths per capita). People really brought this onto themselves "in the name of freedom". Vaccination rates in New Zealand are a little higher, but still insufficient. The government needs to do something to get it into the 95% range, at least. My best wishes. Hopefully your son will only have mild symptoms.
