  19.  @monanemani742  That's in patients with severe COVID-19 infections. That viral infections can cause long term damage and trigger cancer and immune system diseases is well known. It's not particularly specific to COVID-19. We may see significantly lowered life expectancy for a generation. That's a bridge we will have to cross in 20 or 30 years.

People are. :-) My antivaxxer relatives had COVID-19 for the first time around mid-2019 and they had it again a couple of months ago. This shows you that "natural immunity" may last 18 months or so, so if you aren't vaccinated and boosted, your chances of getting it again are growing exponentially, right now. Just give it time.
