  13. Testing doesn't buy us much unless it is systematic and there are enforced quarantine rules for those who test positive. By the time people test positive because they had symptoms they have usually been vectors for up to several days, already. This was clear since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, but the lack of other measures kept the public too focused on testing. ICU admissions down are great, but ICU services are a tiny percentage of all healthcare services. As long as hospitals are stressed they can't perform timely elective procedures and that is very bad for public health.

Let's get at least the language right. 🙂 In any case, we have omicron infection statistics. Unvaccinated adults were five times more likely to become vectors than vaccinated and boosted adults. The discrepancies for hospitalization and deaths were even larger. COVID-19 has now become a disease of the unvaccinated. The unvaccinated are filthy and stupid people, indeed. :-)

Or, if we did, then none of us noticed. To answer your question... if you are worried about your health, annual vaccination might be your best option. Just like with the flu vaccines it may not be 100% effective for everybody, but they should keep you significantly safer than raw exposure.

  36.  @rememberallah5201  It doesn't look like the antibody counts lie. After infection and vaccination the body produces the most antibodies and they decline slowly over the following months. Antibodies are our first and fastest defense. They neutralize the spike protein that the virus needs and they cause the initial immune reaction. The T-cell responses are much slower in comparison and they are not as effective in preventing the virus from multiplying quickly. People with multiple infections and people who had VOCID after vaccination are living proof that there is no case to be made for lasting immunity. It is unfortunately also true that not everybody has the same immune repertoire and we don't all make the same antibodies and equal numbers of them. There is a wide range of immune responses and that is one of the reasons why some people get more sick than others. Since the virus mutates even those who didn't get (very) sick the first time don't have automatic protection for the future. This is, whether we like it or not, a biological roulette. Some win, some lose, and nature doesn't care because evolution only works if there is a stochastic component. So, yeah, this makes life risky and the best you can do is to minimize your risk. It will, unfortunately, never be zero.

We told you to take two shots a month apart and one shot with a lower concentration of the vaccines at least six months later. I don't even know how I could get another shot even if I wanted one. My doctor would certainly not give me one and neither would my pharmacy. So what, exactly, are you talking about? I am not aware of a firm date for the availability of the next vaccines, but I would not expect them before Q3, which means it would take at least until Q1 2023 for widespread uptake. That's closer to a year and a half since the last booster. So where does your 3-4 month bullshit come from, exactly? I had at least 50 vaccines in my life, probably more. My immune system is fine. I had flu shots every year for the past 15 years and those were the only years of my life that I didn't catch the flu. Look, your fears may be real, but they are not rational.
