News flash, you will not beat down the PRC for independence. If anything these violent protests and ideology to declare independence only make the PRC send in troops to protect their interests in Hong Kong. These children are clueless on how the world works. They have no leadership, they do not have the support of the Hong Kong government or the people. Hong Kong cannot even govern itself, what do you think would happen if they became their own country?   46. The issue here, is a persons right to end their life. In no way is gun violence tied in with suicide or mental illness. If suicide wasent such a taboo in american culture, guns wouldn't be used in suicide. Citizens should have the right to end their life on their terms, and ending your life shouldnt be a crime. Red flag laws violate all rights of americans. This woman says a red flag law would have saved her husband, and we know that's not true. Who is this woman to try and stop her husband from ending his life? If she thinks a red flag law would have saved her husband, then I blame her for not getting the gun out of the house to begin with. Legalize suicide and assisted suicide in america and these violent deaths wouldn't not have to happen like tnis.

Exactly what would change given complete democracy? Hong Kong citizens have a pretty stable and well off life, using terrorism to obtain democracy for no further gain is ridiculous. Hong Kong has 27 years remaining before they are thrust full time into socialist Chinese control. Wasting that time for democracy over the chief executive position accomplishes nothing, and is an ineffective way of making positive change. Nothing these terrorists do, will change the fact China takes control in 2047. These violent terrorists will not gain independance from China, nor should they. Hong Kong is sovereign Chinese soil, and a group of violent student terrorists will not change that. This escalationin violence attacking and killing two innocent civilians, is the end of international support and the people of Hong Kong should be demanding justice for those murdered by a bunch of students. Hong Kong needs to ask Beijing for assistance in regaining control of the streets.
