  16. AceCustomz not really..my thought was a dollar for dollar approximation...roughly..buy a new M3 or tune the BRZ for maybe same outlay..the M3 vs hypercar doesn’t compare on cost..am thinking would be near impossible to spend hypercar money on an M3..

That is one crazy good looking car I’ve not resonated with many supercars of late, but this is special.a proper electric supercars that looks like it was not cribbed from an existing gasoline car...am glad you made this..and glad you are taking the initiative to speak up and lead from the front in terms of what’s going on..I come from youthful romance with lotus elan s2..this is just so cool

Try Kone metal filter in your chemistry..they rock...get bit more press style of brew...I don’t get the haters...stay positive: you do good shit..clearly love cars;...we had Volvo’s back in 70s. Some early turbos..for the time they rocked...some good times driving overnight from Calgary to Minnesota with canoe on top and beating the poop of of the car...way fun to see guys a third our age enjoying the engine, the boxy look...you keep it going and don’t be dismayed. I look forward to your stuff every week....

Tedward I didn’t say I was any good at it either...ha ha...I think manual and the feel of accomplishment gives a measure of satisfaction that those never learning don’t have and hence their car experience tends to measurement by statistics, price tag and you tube review..knowing that I can drive, and Cathy the same gives us a smug feeling....that said she had her dct M cars and loved em...I’ve never drunk the dct koolaid just because I enjoy the expereince vs ultimate speed..I know dct is faster..but not always more fun

  35. Keep wondering why you would go from your car to an f86? Or civic..one is cheap fun, but that’s it and costs to tune because would bug you stock, the other is fairly decent on track, but hardly refined, or frankly mature...and think if track days isn’t by definition limiting and to really learn and test yourself you need actually race...not time attack but scca...

I related to every part of this..carreer long investment banking and the people who actually came to believe they were important to the world...hated retiring , but because I felt need to be engaged, but not that I needed the high end watch and suit..project cars were learning experiences..there was never a best ever simply putting myself out there and taking the risk of making something my own way however that might play out..too often people need be seen as pro or never start. My late grandfather said it’s more about still doing vs needing go well..yeah dude I get this one thanks

It’s perverse that it’s often more enjoyable to drive lesser cars...which is stupid...I do like your driving a few “old but new” cars..there is more feel to older cars..at least that’s my old age and stupidity at play..will be a sad day when cars can’t be play..or simply default to static status labels..

  39. I think you misread it. The context of the time is key. I never considered it a “little” car. Cars at least eruocars were not tanks..cars were light, nimble. Super cars of time were pretty ouch as well

  40. Tedward I know..as I said- euro cars..driver cars were all much smaller..Porsche’s were what 120 ..bmw...in many ways the hot hatch was better driver car than many brands we now look to for super cars..american iron was rock bottom bad ...junk..

I admit to looking closely at the original GTI..but bit too cheap and tinny when first issued...while I like this one for sure, I can’t say I’d put money down for one..it’s a good representation of the period, but not a real classic that I’d want to have in my garage..and I had many VW..but beetles, window van..

  42. Crazy, almost rude and stupid car..but...fast is time specific..road cars depends on the road conditions..been scared in hellcat on wet road..equally scared in old beetle on ice and snow covered highway doing 50mph and scraping a hole in ice on inside windshield

  50. Tedward they vary in handling depending on engine..frankly the best to drive and own are not the 12 cylinder. As with all BRitish cars: rust kills em ..by contrast my dad had a Morris minor convertible. Google it..
