You said they need more rec center space to frequent. This shooting happened after midnight. The recreation center availability is irrelevant at midnight. There’s no excuse to be bored at 1:00 am. They should be in bed or take NyQuil.

  5. Agreed. Looks like driver of car stuck in traffic waved in Audi to allow her to cut across to turn left. Neither car driver anticipated scooter moron using the center lane to obstruct the agreement of the car drivers to let the Audi into traffic. The Audi driver probably had her head looking right to make sure traffic across the street was clear to turn left.

  7. I usually would agree. That is a tiresome defense thrown out there. Strassburg did have a criminal record for harassment, assault, drug paraphernalia and DUI. White witness corroborated barber’s claim. I think this one could go either way.

She should have taken an elective in “Common Sense.” Kids, you assumed the risk when you decided to attend Temple. In the 1980’s, Hofstra University accepted my application for grad school. I fantasized about attending Flyers-Islanders games at nearby Nassau Coliseum. I drove up for a campus visit. I was surprised to observe Hempstead, Long Island was a slum. I forfeited my deposit and attended Penn State instead. These are real world choices.

  19. They already have lost their lives. A California judge recently sentenced an Indian guy to life imprisonment. A bunch of white teenagers rang his doorbell and drove away. Dude hopped in his car, caught up, ran them off the road, car flipped or crashed, 3 of 5 teens died. Then you have situations where adults assume teens are screwing with them if teens pound on their door. That black Midwestern kid pounded on the wrong door at 10 pm while looking for his brother. Old white guy shot him right through the screen door, I think. Now white guy will be tried after all the liberals picketed his house.

  22. At minimum, he left the scene of an accident, presumably without leaving a note on the other guy’s windshield. He likely was DUI but he left to avoid testing. He also wrecked his patrol car without any known mechanical failure. It’s also debatable whether he was authorized to be at a bar watching the game while on duty.

  30. I followed your advice. Took me awhile. I was a restaurant delivery driver in Overbrook Park from 2012-2022. Two hoodies stole my Camry in 2019 following a fake delivery order. Two more hoodies carjacked my Honda Civic in 2022. Two months later, I moved to a gated community in Florida.

  31. In 1990, I was a public defender in Lancaster. A ⚫️ Philly transplant was walking the streets homeless. I was court appointed to represent him when he threw a rock through the window of a passing car for no reason. He pleaded guilty. Judge released him on 30 days time served. A few weeks later, he punched a lady in the face inside the library as she pushed a baby stroller. This time, I got him committed to Norristown State Hospital. He spent a year there and a year in county prison. Hospital put him back on his meds. He was a changed man, humble, embarrassed, shy. Judge released him. The shelter gave him a job as a receptionist. I saw him working there once. Never saw him in prison again.

  44. Shayna Ferreira corrected herself that the building is at 16th, not 18th, and Spruce. The exact address actually is 1520 Spruce. The building extends to 16th Street although the front door is about a quarter block down from 16th Street. So basically they set up their camera at Rittenhouse Square but the incident happened several blocks away from Rittenhouse Square. She needs to get her head on straight. The anchorman did a good job of cleaning up her mess at the end.
