  13. At the basic level, every human being has reason to oppose abortion, because every human being should recognise that murder if the innocent is wrong. Abortion isn't really a political issue, you could be fascist, Marxist, ancap, a jihadi, Jehovah's Witness or Baha'i and still recognise, "Killing babies is bad".

  22. Cultural differences can be real but duscrimination based on skin colour is pointless. I am white, but I'm functionally identical to a black guy at my congregation who is a 3rd generation immigrant. The differences between me and a 1st generation immigrant of my faith are negligible compared to the difference between me and a next door neighbour, also white, who is secular. Religion matters a lot (So long as it's not compromising to the world), culture a little and race, in itself, not at all. All are one in Christ.

  26.  @Gareth_Mayers  That's fascinating. I am also one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I had nightmares, not dreams about nakedness but irrational fear, until I became a Witness. Do you know that you are a Witness while dreaming? I mostly do, and I was discussing this with a sister at LDC. She said that being aware of being a Witness while dreaming helped convince her of the truth, which I found absolutely fascinating.

Non of the little Socialist Kibbutz Jews wanted to marry each other, but the community was closed off to outsiders unless they joined.   34. Perennialists do exactly this, and perennialism and accellerationism are two sides of the same coin. It is a mistake, of course, as you say, relying on human wisdom, and while these two are profoundly wise, it is better to trust wholly in the Bible, for Jehovah is absolute and his wisdom is superior to ours to a degree we cannot comprehend, rather than write your own. But, if you believe that God will use reason to give new revelation after the Bible, which I don't and it doesn't seem the Bible teaches this, but if you do believe that it makes sense.
