Human minds register threats within seconds and trans-identifying women don’t usually present as threats so, having categorised them as an odd but harmless male, our brains move on. The cross dressing men do send threat signals to our brain because our brains see them as definitely a man and presenting as a threat due to their flimsy disguise and presence in female spaces.

I agree that a lot of attacks on girls by boys happen in schools, but most people want to stop that happening, not excuse it. Also, there are many bathroom attacks that don’t take place in schools. We could solve that by, I dunno, not letting men into women’s and girls’ spaces. Men who pretend to be women or girls can use a third space.

For every Katie Dolatowski or Patty Hagan who looked intimidating when assaulting women and girls in female bathrooms, there was a Paula Witherspoon or Walter Calero who didn’t look intimidating but offended against women and girls anyway.

I was slim most of my life and am now very overweight and I get glares and snarky comments (most of the glares are ironically when I’m exercising). Obesity should never be treated as something desirable, but shame doesn’t work either.

  16.  @EyeofSekhmet I’ve heard so many similar stories from detransitioners and I don’t understand how this happens either, but at this point the only people who come up as lesbians in the algorithm nowadays are fully intact men and same sex attracted women get directed to NB/transmasc content. I exaggerate a little, but for all the “be yourself” messaging there’s overwhelming pressure to opt out of womanhood and especially being a lesbian. Edited; YT doesn’t like me so I’ll try again.

  24.  @ridleyroid9060 I know nothing about keto, but I lost a lot of weight without experiencing much hunger with intermittent fasting. I also craved less sugary and carb-laden food. Friends of mine experienced the same. Anecdotal evidence is not great evidence I know, but except for drastic and temporary starvation diets, it’s the only regimen I’ve witnessed actually work. I hope OP does post more resources on it.

There are few people with ADHD demanding everyone accomodate us, but we can be useful in a crisis because we’re too dumb to be afraid. Almost all trans-identifying people (mostly men) demand that everyone accomodate them. For what reason I don’t know, because all trans-identifying men are already given accomodations yet continually demand more concessions from women, gays, families and freethinkers. Feminists also argued that women needed our own bathrooms, sports and prisons. Anti-feminists always suggested that if women just stayed in the home they wouldn’t experience any problems. In reality traditional gay conversion therapy has practically disappeared from the West. Yet here it is again and now called affirmative therapy for trans children. Trans children don’t exist, just children who might grow up gay.

I was lucky enough to not have grown up in one (though that didn’t mean no abuse). But I was a communist for a couple of young and dumb years when being a communist was absolutely fringe and we deservedly had to deal with 99% of the population disagreeing with us. Now mainstream parties like the Democrats, media and corporations are further left than my communist ass ever was. Even a lot of conservatives buy into it. And their opinions rarely get checked, so they can continue operating as a cult.

  45. I’m not going to call you any names, but I do want to explain why a lot of gender critical people are sceptical of him. Like most trans activists, even the “nice ones”, he thinks he’s entitled to women’s bathrooms and changerooms. If he says it’s because he acknowledges he’s a man so should get special dispensation, why do it? The expression “good men stay out so bad men stand out” is appropriate here. If it’s because his radfem lesbian friend insisted he use a women’s changeroom at a pool, he should be astute enough to know that one woman’s permission doesn’t negate other women’s feelings. If it’s because “what else am I going to do with DD breasts” it’s not every woman’s job to validate him. If it’s because he’s had “bottom surgery” that doesn’t mean that he, like all other trans identifying men, doesn’t potentially have male pattern criminality. A large study of pre and post-operative MtF trans people showed no difference between trans identifying and non-trans identifying men’s pattern of criminality (Djehne et al 2011) and there are cases like Dakota Nieves and Christynne Wood where post-op trans identifying men committed acts of CSA and exhibitionism respectively. He admitted he’s never been attacked in a men’s bathroom or changeroom and that he doesn’t even try to present feminine (except for the boobs), so why does he need the protection/validation/emotional support of women? Many women and girls are tired of being emotional support animals for men who may or may not be a hazard, except in most developed countries (and now India and South Africa) it’s now a hate crime to challenge them in female spaces. Anyway, that’s one reason gender critical people are getting tired. We’re being asked to make exception after exception, with the only exception being that the “less good” trans activists, the ones who don’t attempt to hide their misogyny, rightly call us out on our hypocrisy. No one can let the nice ones break the rules and insist others don’t. No men should be in women’s and girls’ spaces. Vice versa too, though that’s a whole other subject.
