They can and will do what they want. That's why they got the bailouts after they crashed the system. That's why they remained free of charges during the economic crisis, the housing crisis, the S&L crisis, the Libor scandal and the recent rigging of the global currency markets...lol

  5. Joe11Blue  Taxi services are competitive and the only reason they are going out of business is Uber and regulatory bodies. Uber is operating outside regulations imposed on taxi services thus it can be seen as being cheaper since overhead is lower. But this means a discrepancy in liability since cabs have up to 5 million in insurance for driver and passenger.

  6. Josh McCullough  They cannot adjust their services as they are regulated. Uber is not at present, but soon will be as they are operating illegally. The difference in price between Uber and a regular taxi service is minimal without the insurance and other overhead. Once these come into play, Uber will fail. Uber takes 20% off the top. Add in gas, insurance, upkeep and lease and the drivers are not making much more than regular cabbies.

  7. Joe11Blue  Regulations are put upon them and all competition are subject to the same regulations. BTW Uber sets the price, it has competition that allows drivers to set their own price. I am not blaming an app, I am blaming the douche bags behind it. In any event, once regulation occurs, it's toes up.

It is a subjective, personal quality but in truth, people associate us with our personalities IE individual "self", whether it is illusory or not. And something being subjective does not disqualify its reality. How do you feel? This sense of self has existed as long as man. It is only until we discovered logic, critical thinking and science that we started to really question it objectively.

I also never said you had to accept a proposition. All of your analogies fail to approach the matter as "Elvis" would have been internalized form without and the sun/Earth relationship, although ever present is nowhere near the feeling of constant beingness that people feel. Illusory or not, it is not something someone made up and everyone started to believe, it is something most people live with and take for granted all of their lives so the question is not moot.

  24. 4:30 in a society or a reality where there are no gender norms then there cannot be feminine traits because that denotes a baseline median...AKA a norm. This is the result of that X% of "educated Americans" that have Liberal Arts degrees and have never studied biology or gone outside. Go to a fucking farm and see gender "norms" in animals and nature. And yes they are "norms" and yes there are outliers as well BUT THERE IS A NORM AND IT IS THE MAJORITY.

If it isn't worth enough no one wants it, if it is worth a lot then the price woks against itself as a currency IE no one could afford to use it as a base currency thus it becomes an investment vehicle ready to be liquidated into....??? Cash? Bitcoin and cryptos are redundant at this point, the real value is the blockchain itself.
