  5. I would like to see this research. Not only does it seem strange they would have a reference point for comparison, most research is pretty poor until 40+ others reach the same conclusion and the meta study confirms bias and error were not factors.

  6. Data is nothing without proper analytics and an unbiased way of filtering. The reason why black people are more likely to be killed unarmed is because they are more likely to kill a police officer statistically. So police will statistically be more prone to violence simply as a safety measure. Wow cause and effect, who would have figured? This guy....is not unbiased. I do agree that police need to be more accountable.

  9. Hospitals should be made in a modular fashion. Each room, hallway etc made into small buildings that can be joined but also torn apart and sterilized/replaced, otherwise they become breeding grounds of infestation.

America fights wars for profit not for ideology so you have to look at who is profiting to see who is winning. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria etc...these are not "morally based wars" or good guy vs bad guy. As far as the Taliban and ISIS are concerned, the Russians got rid of ISIS in Syria, the US was funding them, how can you say this was a conflict vs America? The Pentagon allowed them to take root and threaten Syria, this is fact. Dude get a fucking clue before you right a fucking book.

  19. Number on gripe in comments is about pay. You can thank your governments for this as they are in charge of fiscal policy. Remember even a large corporation like Starbucks is basically a small business when you enter the establishment since it is a franchise. And the owner has a definite limit on what they can pay.

  24. Hard determinism says we have no free will. We are basically effects of an initial cause. Of course this is based on evidence at hand IE the big bang being the initiator(cause). Sure from a purely logical basis it makes sense and is almost undeniable. That being said, the amount of awareness we have, our ability to process it and our subjective natures make it really difficult to say "what is" on such a scale. What happened before expansion occurred is a mystery. I mostly fall into the hard determinism camp from a logical viewpoint, the only reason I have to dispute is purely anecdotal. I actually discovered the idea of hard determinism 20 years before hearing about it, during an acid trip in my youth, I saw it like an irresistible wave passing through people, one to another causing their actions. Perceiving this as something horrible, I "removed" myself from the flow of things, symbolically of course, by moving to the other side of the room away from people. This broke the flow and people not only realized it immediately but did not like it one bit. All at once 10 or so people literally freaked out at me for changing the flow of things. haha. Does this mean there is wiggle room? Maybe. Maybe there is something in the pie that has determined that there needs to be more wiggle room? And if so does that make it actual? lol?

  25. I have literally shown people the international treaties that THEY say prohibit travel over the south pole, showing there is no prohibition. I have shown them the official US dept that states it is okay to travel there with the caveat that no one will come get your dumb ass if you should need assistance.   26. I found the study but under a paywall so I can't verify it in any way but I don't think the mothers wage "decreases", what happens is time away from work has its own penalty. The same would occur if I took a year off work to go to Tibet, I would miss opportunity. And funny that one of the reasons for the pay gap is actually mentioned, men work longer hours. The efficiency factor mentioned in this video is not really corroborated in any way by this talk, not in a way that would give them an advantage anyway. I agree that mothers are more efficient than women that are not but how far does that go and is it even something worthy of mention here?

No one is preaching, no one is suggesting taking short cuts but sorry to say if your brain could do all that, you would never need a doctor or psychologist. I have experience both psychedelics and prolonged meditation as well as the effect of "prana" from extensive yoga sessions and the euphoria from prolonged fasting and there is no substitute for psychedelics as there is no substitute for the above mentioned.

The current stability issues would disappear with actual, official backing of financial institutions and it need not be Bitcoin itself but another form of digital currency, as they keep proposing.

The other is making it illegal for business or personal transactions, it's simple. Economic controls are in the hands of central banks, most work together. Do you think lawmakers will turn a blind eye to commerce they can't control or tax? lol TLDR Bitcoin and other digital currencies will be relgated to blackmarket

  50. David Jenkins  No it does not need to be, if not it will be regulated as I stated. And sorry but banks are not really safe since their entire reason for existing is to protect physical assets which will not exist in an all digital currency economic system yet they will remain in control regardless. In any event, an all digital currency is madness. Try and conduct business or survive in a 2 week ice storm with no power or in a natural disaster without physical cash.
