Jacqueline Mulian - The Tories will bury any tries in the same way as they buried the study on the undreadyness of the UK for a pandemic. The Tories did not react as the study showed that the UK is underprepared for a pandemic. The Tories hide the study so that they could pretend all is well. We have now a pandemic and the Tories shows total incompetence.

Why does one favor a guy who lost two jobs because of his lies.
2
Was there not a Brexit catastrophe looming?
2
They abviously would not risk to kill people.
2
Car Coda - It is a fact that the UK government did do too little to late.
2
@cynderfan2233 The UK leaving the EU single market and customs union is a loss of about 100 billion per year. Jaguar Landrover said that the Brexit crash out will cost them 1,2 billion. These will not go into investment or new jobs, they will not pay any taxes, they will just be eaten up by Brexit.
2
@squizza28 Really where from? What are the costs? How much longer does it take? Reality is the UK will still buy from the EU.
2
@britbazza2529 It was a non-binding vote as such it means as much as any opinion poll.
2
@harold4506 The Tories are finished full stop. They cant agree on anything in regard to Brexit, they are a minority government and they will be wiped in the next GE.
2
Stu McCabe - Where is the good news? You think they miss to report the unicorns that solve everything? Leaving is about losing and this is it.
2
@chadleach6009 This is not the EU problem that the UK government was to stupid to make sure they have a majority in parliament for the treaty they negotiate.
2
The UK voted to lose. @Adi Adindas 70% of fish caught by UK vessels is exported to the EU, 50% of cars assembled in the UK are exported to the EU, 44% of all UK exports go to the EU. The UK worsens trade with 120 countries in January 2021 Abs the UK loses jobs, loses tax revenue, loses investment and loses well educated Brits to the brain drain. They leave the isolationist Island for better chances in other countries. The UK loses up to 90 billion every year.
2
@sonofsomerset1695 This is a withdrawal agreement. It is about settling the accounts. The UK is leaving and leaving is about losing. What did you expect?
2
@O0000-i5q Where? The EU exports 1600 billion all over the world and hase trade treaties with over 80 countries. This means wherever the Uak goes the EU has already been there.
2
@O0000-i5q 96% of EU legislation went the way the UK wanted, they abstained only at 2% and awesome 2% did not go like the UK wanted it to be. These are the hard facts. Third countries are on their own and global trade is a shark tank. Get used to it as neither China nor the US will meet a 2 trillion economy on eye level. The only organisation that gives each members a near eye level is the EU as everyone has a veto and they try to compromise.
2
@ClarkiiReef The UK lost its AAA rating and has been downgraded 3 times since 2016.
2
@ClarkiiReef 70% of the fish caught by British vessels are exported to the EU, more then 50% of cars assembled in the UK are exported to the EU. 44% of all exports go to the EU and 3 million British jobs depend on these exports.
2
Andrew Riches Could you explain which part of this report is not factual? So everything one does not like nowadays is false? This is based on what? Gut feeling, hearsay?
2
Andrew Riches So you are unable to support your claim. A claim without evidence can be dismissed. Thanks for your personal opinion.
2
0 0 You are aware that the EU is with 48% its main export market. So if your main export market would be in bad shape they would buy less UK goids and that means in the UK jobs would be lost. 3 million UK jobs depend on trade with the EU.
2
The Velo in the Vale - Do you know that the Tories cut more then 10.000 police job? Do you know that the Tories cut thousands of NHS beds? So the 6th largest world economy is unable to provide for the people living in the UK. Sounds to me like one needs a new government which is up to the challenge.
2
@ShiroNekoDen The Red Cross has a flag so are they a state? The olympic moverment has an anthem, so are they a state? A lot of organisation and groups have flags or anthems and are no states. Some countries in the EU share a currency (10 EU countries do not have the EURO) and a lot like the UK who is an EU member does not. So you argument falls flat. Let me ask you a question? Who is the EU? The EU are the 28 (soon 27) sovereign states and the governments of every state agreed on every nook and cranny. You don't like it well the elected representatives of the UK did? They did not only agree, they were often the one who took the initiative. The UK got 94% of the time what they wanted. May be one should look the government more on the fingers what they actually do. To come to the conclusion it is a straw man they is built with the claim. The Red Cross has a flag, the olympic movement has an anthem. So two more states? They are simple organisations.
2
Jacky Walsh Please post the relevant pages from the Lisbon treaty you refer to. Please link to an official EU page. If you fail.to.do so we can assume it is just an emotional claim.
2
@mhffc Who claimed that? A recession can have many causes: A global trend, a self destructive government harming the economy and others.
2
@mhffc The UK choose to give itself a negative supply shock. Adam Posen explains it so nicely. https://youtu.be/EcIkIz98zXU
2
Randall Draco - No it shows that the British Parliament is deeply divided and that the Tories have no majority on anything in regard to Brexit. They are a failed party.
2
Mr Kingdig - Lord Hedge fund banker Rees Mogg knows how to make money out of misery but this has nothing to do with trade regulations, frictions trade over borders, EU single market and customs union. Lord hedge fund millionaire plays with numbers and money but produces nothing real like a car.
2
Photoandcargeek - Yes it is shocking that incompetence is not called out as JRM has no clue about trade, EU single market, customs union, regulations and so on. But his ERG group had a star wars anti ballistic missile shield and a expeditionary military force in their plan for Brexit. May be someone should tell them that this has nothing to do with Brexit.
2
Eric Foster 30.000 death are 30.000 disasters. South Korea with 300 death did a good job. The Tories are lazy liars who did too little too late.
2
Johnson the mad king might be the last UK PM
2
@DMC585 Can you name any country and lets say show a letter of intend to do so? Othwise we have to assume these trade treaties offer are with Mordor and the Empire of Starwars. I heard even Santa might be interested to sell his surplus of Christmas leftovers.
2
Martyntd5 The Tory government willfully put the UK in such a position of disaster as they are unfit to agree on anything in regard to Brexit. The Tories send negotiatiors to the EU without mandate or a majority backing of Parliament. So for over 2 years negotiations took place with UK representatives for nothing.
2
@Martyntd5 May has no majority in her own party for the 2 year negotiated withdrawal agreement. The UK send negotiators without mandate and without the backing of a Parliament majority. This government can not decide on anything about Leaving. Some Tories are still out riding unicorns.
2
John Mc Cord - What is this based on? Is there a study you refer to or a gut feeling? The Tories could in over two years not agree an what they want.
2
@rosshilton Just listen to the economist Adam Posen he earns his money with that. He shows nicely the negative supply shock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcIkIz98zXU
2
solvitas I guess you have no glue how many Chinese live in the UK nor that everyone can carry the virus. A lot of global companies have people travelling from and to China. So the Virus never relied only on one Groupe of people to already.
2
The pound falls again. Johnson empty promises fall on deaf ears.
2
BillyCBoxingFan By the way Johnson voted for the UK-EU withdrawal agreement.
2
@andrew30m 2 million zero hour jobs are not jobs but exploitation and an all British idea. The UK is unable to properly train enough people for the NHS. The NHS has 100.000 job vacancies. So low income jobs are in abundant supply with low worker protection.
2
@Morn2moon It is the withdrawal from a political organisation of sovereign countries. The UK made commitments and the government might have forgotten to tell the voters. The sum they agreed to settle the accounts is in the range of 39 billion for the EU.
2
Chris Chapman Do you mean the Norman/ French conquest and occupation of 1066?
2
James Whiteley - What purpose should this have? The negotiations are over. So what is there to talk? So what came out from this talk?
2
JHayler7 Norway has freedom of movement and Switzerland has freedom of movement. The UK leaving the EU single market and customs union will cost the UK up to 100 billion per year. A free trade agreement will limit the losses to about 70 billion per year. All in all the losses will be in jobs, tax revenue and companies (which leave in part or as a whole).
2
@hansouth2355 It was only pure Tory incompetence and disability to agree on anything in regard to Brexit. They still have no plan and no agreement.
2
joe caterman No they could not have as the UK had a veto. So this was just another delusional claim of the stand up comedian Johnson.
2
@John Stanley Some day the EU will invent unicorns and we have to protect the UK from unicorns. Oh right the UK has a veto to stop any changes they did not like.
2
@thelord5349 Three giants in trade exist. The US, China and the EU. They are the center of gravity others rotate around.
2
James S - What is an I belief good for when people might loose their jobs in reality?
2
@aucourant9998 Russia lost the war, the first Russian rank planes can no longer produce as the sanctions bites. This will only be over when Putin and his criminals stand trial on an international court of justice fir their war crimes. We should not forget any helper, supporters and enabler of these war crimes.
2
@Soraviel The EU signed the contract a day before the UK. So you have been lied to. Which is no surprise as Johnson career is based on lies.
