@spex357 About 67% of the voters agreed to it in 1975.
2
@rogerbennett9641 It will be a popcorn moment to see Johnson create a new desaster with his incompetence.
2
@TheTwinight The US demand it for there trade treaty, the ambassador said so. The US will crush the UK agriculture sector and rip of the NHS. This is just the beginning. The US is a 20 trillion economy and the UK a 2,8 trillion economy. Trade deals always favor the bigger countries.
2
@R0B1NG5 The UK will be pulled over the barrel this is what happens when a 2,8 trillion economy faces a 20 trillion economy. It will be one sided, the US will get whatever they want and the UK nothing the US does not allow them to have.
2
Mark Jones - About 66% of Labour voters voted Remain. One has to do something to keep them.
2
@renegade2853 I would have agreed with you before the UK voted to destroy parts of their economy and voted to be poorer, lose jobs, lose tax income and lose credibility. So I am not sure other countries would not hurt themselves for vague terms and empty words.
2
I totally agree with you, but I am sure kinder garden will protest as they have higher standards, are more orderly, plan thoroughly and do their job.
2
No deal= hard border. The UK leaving the EU without any other treaties in place results in a hard border through the actions of the UK. Hard border means that no agreement between the UK and the EU exists about the standards and regulation of goods and people crossing.
2
Angela J - When one destroys willingly parts of the economy as they depend on the frictionless trade then this is not a risk it is willful destruction of parts of the economy. Most cars assembled in the UK need 60% parts from the EU27. Many are delivered just in time as to keep them on stock is to costly. Nissan alone needs 2 million parts every day. They can produce about half a day and when then the right parts in the right order do not arrive then the production stops. Leaving the EU will cause a ton of paperwork for imports, it will cost and only 2 more minutes at the border cause 17 miles of lorries parking. The heads of the car industry said that without EU single market and customs union jobs are at risk. This means they will invest in other places and let things run out here. One can question how many if any will be left here.
2
Who put 120000 Russian troops on the border to Crimea? Who invaded Ukraine in 2014 even as Russia signed two treaties that guarantees the Ukrainian border? Russia.
2
@Russian Troll so Im told So where is the plan for the day after Brexit in which it says so? By the way as Minford the Brexit economist proudly said this will destroy UK agriculture. So more foreign food exports are coming.
2
@lesigh1749 I guess this is why the Uak imported food in WW2 because they wanted not to put more effort in agriculture. UK.depends for a long time on food imports.
2
Phil Dobson As the UK gets a rebate so much money as you say was never paid. Not to mention that the act of the UK to crash out breaks the Good Friday agreement and erects a hard border. The UK largest market with 44% exports are the other EU nations. More then 3 million people depend on these jobs. The other 27 EU countries exports a meager 8% into the UK. Most cars assembled in the UK have 60% parts from the other 27 EU nations. So not one of these cars can be sold without imports from the other 27 EU countries.
2
@Tentin.Quarantino Please show me where it says so in this leaflet? I would like a citation. It was the Leaver Johnson who made such a claim.
2
KLM738XO - The provide something called jobs. A lot of people need jobs to pay for their living.
2
@anghinetti The UK negotiated for 2 years a withdrawal agreement. It is signed and needs only the agreement of 28 parliaments. That the UK send negotiators without a mandate and no majority in Parliament is the UKs problem alone.
2
@clarksonbarry This is a withdrawal agreement and settling the accounts It is about the UK leaving and losing all access a member has. What was their to expect but losses?
2
Czar Zenana - As long as the UK has not settled the accounts with the EU few other countries will touch them. Not to mention that people who break treaties as not the one you want to sign any with.
2
T-Rex Racing - Through Dover passes a lot of just in time delivery. Most cars assembled in the UK need 60% parts from the EU27. Nissan alone needs 3 million parts per day. Without just in time delivery it is no longer cost effective for large parts of the car industry to produce in he UK.
2
bo ptah - Yes it will be an uncontrolled crash out with dire consequences.
2
mark hughes - Third country products and people are checked on every border before entering.
2
Deatch Wish - A dog and its master have a very special relationship. Just like the UK and that US have a special relationship.
2
@1carkeet What does this mean better of? What would this better of mean for a family with two kids in Leeds? What is the claim based on? Do we have a study that supports that or is it more a feeling?
2
Tom Hulme - Repeating slogans alloes one not to thonk for oneself. Some people even overlook that a slogan is a claim without evidence. If one expects people to agree to anything evidence would help.
2
So what does it cost? How long does it take to set up? How efficient is it? in how many places in the world does it work? Oh it is just another red, white, blue unicorn that is invisible.
2
@jameswhiteley6843 Why aren't we honest? It is a totally chaotic crash that destroys part of the British economy. The UK destroys frictionless trade with 27 countries and destroys trade treaties with 50 more. So the UK trades on level of Mauretania.
2
@johnnyc792 What are you talking about? This is a withdrawal agreement it is about losing orderly all membership rights and settling the accounts.
2
WhyOWhy The UK is leaving and leaving is about losing and settling the accounts. This is a withdrawal agreement. The problem is people were promised unicorns by the Leavers.
2
@johnnyc792 The Magna Charta is a deal between small landlords (rich nobles) to get more control over the larger landlord (aka King). It is an aristocratic deal in which normal people played zero role.
2
@Nickle314 Who choose the commission? Each country sends a commissioner and it is up to that member state how their representative in the commission is chosen. The democratically elected government of each state select one representative. So they are democratically legitimized.
2
@noodles74 Third countries get third country deals. This means Canada trade treaty or Norway and some variants, but this is it.
2
Ste c The UK loses jobs, tax revenue and credibility. The EU is a huge market of 450 million and an internal trade of 4400 billion and an export of 1800 billion in countries all over the world. The UK is a nice to have trading partner, but rather insignificant.
2
@bendouglas5607 Have you read the UN poverty report about the UK? The austerity politic of the Tories worsened the situation for a lot of people. Not to forget the 2 million zero hour jobs. British governments failed their voters time and time again.
2
Green Deane - Please share link to a medical study showing the connection between corona and vitamin D. How many people were part of that study? In can no study exists thrn thanks for sharing your emotional moment.
2
Em Welshgirl - Lets take the car industry. Most cars assembled in the UK have 60% parts from the other EU countries. These car plants are largely owned by foreign companies. They have in interest to produce a competitive product and so have an EU wide supply chain. Most of these cars are sold to the EU27.
2
@chrispotts6727 He means South Korea where testing and isolating hot spots worked. They have 200 death in a 60 million society. The UK has 700 death a day plus unrecorded death is care homes and at home.
2
@wilsonmanch6773 The Tories are used to get away with lying and doing nothing. This behaviour kills people in a pandemic. Johnson the PM in hiding did shake hands in the midst of a pandemic and caught the virus. Such stupid and ignorant behaviour is normal for Tories. We have various promised Johnson made about more personal for the NHS which was a lie more hospitals which was a lie. The latest lie is that while 100 NHS workers died because of the lack of PPE that everything is ok. Allen the stupid slogan to protect the NHS. The job of the NHS is to protect the workers and the patients. So the Tories tell.the people don't use the services you need and have a right to use so we can pretend that we haven't underfunded and understaffed the NHS and do not allow the people to have the PPE they need to do their job.
2
Sander Fitzwilliam - Amazing that some tiny minority chooses the PM. Not to mention that show while important issues are on hold.
2
@rogerbennett9641 A 16 trillion economy has interests and will not be pushed around by some foreign 2 trillion economy named UK.
2
@antonrudenham3259 You are ruled by 10 times more civil servants in the UK. Not to mention that no one voted the office of the PM nor does anyone vote any minister in his office, nor does anyone vote anyone into the House of Lords. Sounds quite undemocratic to me.
2
What are you talking about? I quoted repesentatives of the car industry which said that hundredthousands of jobs are endangered by Brexit. We see companies have only three choice move in part, as a whole or go bust. Not to mention the UK companies get removed from supply lines as we speak.
2
@rmason4358 When you own no ferries, no crew snd have no experience then you can get a 14 million contrat with the government. So few individuals can prfit from the misery.
2
@Ian-pm8ll The EU is a 16 trillion economy, the UK is a 2 something trillion economy. The UK exports 44% to other EU countries, the EU only 8% into the UK. Not to mention that the EU has trade treaties with more then 80 countries. The EU always welcomes a trade treaty on their terms. First lesson for a 2 trillion economy you are a rule taker when talking to the giants in trade the US, China and the EU. They choose under what terms others trade with them.
2
@brucemcdonald4372 Try this in your fitness club to take away some of their stuff as you have been a member for years after ending your membership. Please report back after the police processed you for trying to steal.
2
Tim Webb What does the UK do who exports 44% in the EU and the EU only 8% into the UK? By the way most cars assembled in the UK have 60% parts from other EU countries. More then 50% of these cars are sold to the other EU countries. The UK imports food as they cover only 54% of their needs another 30% comes from other EU countries. The last 16% from other countries.
2
@jameswhiteley6843 Any sovereign country which is in Europe can ask to join the EU. So if a region becomes sovereign they can ask for that as any other sovereign nation.
2
"Having our cake and eat it."
2
HudzHebz86 - Work won't be so necessary as a lot of people will have a lot more free time or they move with their companues when they leave in part or as a whole.
2
@laurlaur931 Welcome to the minority Tory government.
2
@maddogmattis5314 Scotland is enslaved to Westminster.
