I was just showing how the Republicans take an actual fact and twist them support their current extremist ideology. Another example: The Democrats were the party against the Civil Rights Movement in the 60's - In the South this was true. But after the passing of the Civil Rights Acts the bigots all fled the Dems feeling betrayed and moved to the GOP, and are quite frankly one of the reasons for the cesspit the GOP is today. The teabaggers are notorious for using the half-truths against the Dems.

The only reason Bernie is considered by some to be a Marxian socialist or even more stupidly a Communist, is because since the late 70s early 80s, the American political spectrum has been pulled to the far economic right! And the once centrist policies of Truman, Ike etc: became equated with the extreme left while the once radical right wing policies of laissez faire worshiping right became the new mainstream center. As for the far right, I can't really say except Anarcho- Capitalist utopianism or the physical reality of corporate Fascism that we put up with today!
