@Derek8487 yes, that is amazing! I don't think I could squat like that! LoL 🤣😆 maybe when I was a kid!

'97 Accord. Found out that I only had one shot at entertaining the number correctly. If wrong, I'd disconnect the battery and start over. Code was hand written in the owner's manual.

Story time!

sToReY tImE! 😊

Wasn't aware of flipping selfie mode!

@21Piloteer agree 👍
2
Did they take it for the weekend? 🤔
2
Yeah, it was a bit annoying. I'll cut him some slack. Learning a lot from him.
2
Awesome 👍😎

Is the "new" stuff better? Just picked up a '13 Equinox with 170,000 on it. Just drove it from Las Vegas to MN. Did well on oil. Will be working on the area around the water pump. There's some leaking antifreeze there. Will be draining the cooling system. Should I put dexcool back in it?

A friend was very proud of the miles he had on his car. It stopped running, and I helped him determine that it needed a computer. I got it running, but looked it over. Suggested that he stop driving it. It was so rotted out, if he was in an accident, it would crumble!

Stopped the video at 3:23. Honestly, didn't go farther than that. You hooked the yellow hose directly to the bulk refrigerate tank.
2
Yep! I sure wish YouTube would have notifications on by default! Being a fairly new creator, it's a pain saying that stuff every video!!
2
I see Detroit Axle has a 10 year warranty. Interesting... Have you had to claim warranty?
2
You have an opportunity to have a very successful channel! I hope YouTube treets you well for retirement!
2
Great job keeping it real! "Not a fancy recording studio."
2
The word "new" is over used! New coil could be one from a salvage yard.
2
@WrenchingWithKenny they probably only ran it long enough to say it wasn't knocking or blowing blue smoke. Who knows if the cooling system was hooked up?!
2
What car?

MoPar = More Parts No joking.

'99 Toyota Camry 3.0 Got it cheap at 309,000+ miles. It wasn't going into lockup. Pulled the valve body and replaced the lockup solenoid. It now has lock up.

Did a 5 stud change out mid journey in an auto parts parking lot.

Many times they're working around other groups with different assignments.

Just picked up a rust free '13 Equinox. 170,000+ on it. Was concerned about oil consumption while driving it to MN from Vagas. Oil did fantastic! Didn't have to add any the whole trip. Did smell antifreeze. Checked the coolant cap and found the O-rings were hard and flat. Replaced the cap. Still smelled antifreeze. Looks like the water pump is leaking. Don't know if it's the mounting gasket or the seal it's self. Will check into it further.

Common sense isn't so common!

Another way to find a current draw. Anytime current is flowing, there's voltage drop. If voltage is flowing through a fuse, there'll be voltage drop from one side to the other. With a meter in DC voltage, place the probs on each side. There are charts available showing what the voltage showing on the meter and size of fuse to the amount in amperage is being drawn on that fuse. This way, you're not waking up modules by power cycling them and having to wait for them to time out.

I use the like button to indicate I've watched the video. Yes, that pesky bell 🔔! It would be nice if notifications were turned on by default!

@TheFrenchPug so much for those thoughts! LoL 😂😂😆

@WrenchingWithKenny You are a great person! Keep wrenching! Thank you for your videos! I'll be careful when I change the pump on my '13 Equinox 2.4L 170.000+ miles. Doing great on oil consumption. Slight leak by the water pump.
2
Yes, he's good!

My '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee is showing below battery voltage on the scanner. Thinking it might be a ground issue.

My '03 Forester. Previous owners son driving it. Car overheats. Son calls dad. Dad calls his mechanic. Mechanic says: "Subarus are known to blow head gaskets.". He lists it as needing gaskets. I go test drive it. Car looks good and drives well. I bring antifreeze along thinking I'd need to add some on my hour or so drive home. Lost some, smelled antifreeze, but didn't loose enough to cause issues. Fast forward to the first oil change. I found a broken lower radiator hose clamp. Yep, the place of the leak! I drove the car for 2 more years until I got tired of smelling burnt oil from the leak on the head gasket oil return galleries. When I got the heads machined, that was the last place to clean up. Don't have your car diagnosed over the phone!

Just picked up a '13 Equinox. 170,000 miles. Drove it from Vegas to MN. Didn't use any oil. Runs well.

Car engines have " motor mounts"! Go figure!😂😅

@davidr208 yep, he was one of the first guys I subscribed to for auto repair. After I found other channels, he got dropped!
1
On my '00 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7, the tensioner was stuck very similar.

I sincerely hope you're joking! Once a guy gets older, they learn to work smarter not harder! It takes one serious back injury to put one out of commission for awhile or even life.
1
@WrenchingWithKenny interesting!
1
Why are the manufacturers going back to cartridge oil filters?
1
My guess they just bought it.
1
LoL 😂😆 I guess this video isn't for you then. I was entertained that he was able to figure it out like he did.
1
New one for me too! Just had a gander at their site.

Replaced the head gasket on this Honda. Started right up, ran and then died. Should have just replaced the distributor. But, as you can tell, it still has spark! https://youtube.com/shorts/wY3SCWqVw7E?feature=share

@ewconway you're so welcome! I had to think about it for a bit also! I like things explained to me when I ask. What seems obvious to one person isn't so obvious to another.

Need to tell viewers to ring that pesky bell to get notifications. Many people don't know and think that they'll be notified with just a subscription.... Sure wish YouTube would have notifications on by default when someone subscribes. 🤔
