Memphis declined following Martin Luther King’s assassination in 1968? Why didn’t Dallas suffer a similar fate after John F. Kennedy’s assassination?
4
8:40 - La Paz, Bolivia is the highest national capital in the world at over 12,000’.

I partially agree with your remarks about Connecticut. I disagree with your comment about there being no middle class; I live in Connecticut and am in the middle class, as are most people that I know. Outside of the cities such as Hartford, New Haven, and Bridgeport, the crime in this state is pretty low; Connecticut usually ranks among the ten safest states in the country (and always one of New England’s six safest states! 😎) I agree that it is expensive, and the taxes are high, and there is too much wealth inequality.
4
I have been to every province and territory of Canada except for Nunavut, which would definitely be a summertime destination.
4
New Jersey is “full.” Georgia doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
4
Based on your comment, the quality of education is down too, I see.
4
Israel made his list of most atheistic countries a couple of weeks ago.
4
I think Cuba just missed out; they very likely were 11th.
4
@JamaicanTribe - Do you have a source? Mine was the Wikipedia article on Cuba. From that, Cuba has 11M people, and 9% are black. That’s about 1M black people in Cuba; from Brigg’s video, Mexico had 1.4M.
4
I think Briggs could start this list with Hawaii. 😁 (Good luck with that!)
4
Tennesseans need to chill. California is 2000 miles from there. Just my opinion.
4
I’d be more stressed being with people who only discuss politics. 👎
4
Of the ten places you mentioned, I’d like to visit Coober Pedy. Being underground, the “dugouts” maintain a constant temperature of 23°C or 73°F, so no heating or air conditioning are needed, ever. Doesn’t seem like there would be much to do there, however.
4
Whenever I think of Montana, I think about dental floss.
4
11:34 - “…Detroit to the south?” ???? Detroit is NE of Fort Wayne.
4
Andaman Islands, which are part of India. That is where North Sentinel Island is; you can visit there if you want, but I hear the locals are not very friendly.
4
The population that is 65 and older is not going down; it is going up. It was 13.1% in 2010 and 16.5% in 2020. The Baby Boomers getting older is a factor, as it the longer life expectancy of Americans. The percentage that is 65 and up is projected to continue increasing.
4
Sounds like the name of a death metal band.
4
Pete - Let’s see the actual census numbers to see what the numbers are really like. No offense to Briggs or to Nick Johnson, but when the US Census shows a decline in NYC’s population, I’ll believe it. NYC has endured a lot over the years and somehow still draws people; why in 2020 should things change? (Maybe due to the pandemic, but they had one in 1920 ...)
4
Fewer than 100,000 people.
4
Yes, Regina (the capital of Saskatchewan) rhymes with va****.
4
Sweden is not rising from plate tectonics. It is rising from post-glacial rebound, as are Finland and much of Canada.
4
mates0428 - If they don’t like you for where you’re from, the hell with them! They aren’t worth your time.
4
Somebody got triggered! 😝 I would read it but (1) the NIV is more readable anyway, and (2) I have one life to live and prefer not wasting it on reading religious gobbledygook.
4
@SirManfly - Canada’ has about 38 million people, and the Tokyo metropolitan area has about 37 million.
4
I think the title of this video should be changed. “Ten Best Midwestern Suburbs” should suffice. Good stuff. 👍🏻
4
San Francisco is very hilly so if a part of the city begins to submerge there are places to relocate to. The cities listed on this video are mostly very flat.
4
You misspelled “Pittsburgh” around 4:58.
4
“The place where the caribou 💩”
4
We haven’t really had winters to speak of the past few years. I was also born in Springfield, but lived in Connecticut most of my life.
4
My first guess was Illinois, but then I thought Colorado or Arizona. All wrong.
4
I’m gonna get me a horse, just about this big…
3
He was under uressure to meet his deadlines. 😂
3
Bay City isn’t rural.
3
Trez on Switch - New York City and Long Island have a mild enough climate to affect the state average. I’m sure New York makes the top 20 but not the top 10.
3
Of the ten most populous states, all ten were in this video, and almost in the expected order. I suspect the 11th state in order of welfare recipients would be New Jersey, the 11th most populous state.
3
I guess Columbus retains their title! 😂
3
I figured before watching this that NYC would be #1; that would be my vote anyway. #2. LA?
3
@lindabriggs5118 - He might do the top five religions in each state, or say the top two or three with a graphic showing the top five.
3
4:47 - “Is there another Los Angeles?” In fact, there is a Los Angeles in Chile. 🇨🇱
3
@ufcprophet40 - And how many Kiwis live in rural areas? (Maybe 20%.) The rest who “don’t care” or “don’t give a s..t” could be atheist or agnostic. (I regard agnostics as a subset of atheists.) It doesn’t mean that 80% of New Zealanders are atheists, but I suspect a number similar to Canada or Australia.
3
Most people who believe in this nonsense are equally condescending and childish from my experience.
3
Great scenery. I’ve been to Alaska only once and saw the Panhandle, from Ketchikan to Skagway. Would love to visit Alaska again, and the Kenai and Kodiak would be great places to visit. Would visit during the end of August for a chance at seeing the Northern Lights.
3
I just checked the U.S. State Department’s site. None of the countries in this video are Level 4 - “Do not travel.” Only Jamaica is Level 3 - “Reconsider Travel.” So the rest are Level 1 or Level 2.
3
The most un American idea I’ve heard of.
3
Maybe they were 11th (or around there.)
3
Fewer people per square miles than NJ, RI, MA, CT, and likely MD. There are empty spaces in New York State, particularly near the Catskills and Adirondacks.
3
My favorite name on this list is definitely Bad Axe. I wonder how many people call it Bad A** unintentionally. Probably quite a few. It’s not Traveras City; it’s Traverse City. It’s pronounced just as it’s spelled.
3
Challenge accepted! 😈
3
You mentioned Boston Pizza at 13:36. That is a Canadian pizza chain, mainly in Western Canada; I don’t know of any places in Boston with that name.
