  6. Even if that were possible, I would assume that sort of appeal would be viewed in light of whether the defendant received sufficient protection of his rights. And given the volume of attorneys working for him, it would be hard to conclude his council was ineffective.

  12.  @LouiseMZeitlin  I have to disagree. There are reports of FBI agents raging over the DOJ's slow-walk of the Jan. 6 investigation. A couple of them are saying that if not for the House Select Committee forcing the DOJ's hand, there would have been no real investigation. Jack has been on the job since November 18 on an espionage case where elements of the crime took place in at least three states/jurisdictions, involve US war plans and Nuclear weapons information, and obstruction of justice. The only recorded evidence seems to be the MAL security tapes, the book interview tapes, and Trump's interviews and social media posts. In 6 months, Smith went from "where is my office?" to indictment. Jan 6 was video taped by a dozen or more media outlets. We are almost 2.5 years out, and Jack has been simultaneously working on that case while securing charges for espionage. Garland should have had Jan 6 wrapped up and indictment(s) secured before Trump even announced for 2024.

  18. I don’t think Christopher is actually a foreign national. He is a registered foreign agent and I have seen his actual application to be a foreign agent. I think he’s a US citizen though. But I’m not certain.

  28. It is, but not where we think it is at the moment. If you read the ruling this judge cited the Supreme Court’s ruling against the January 6 committee as they sought evidence pertaining to the insurrection. This judge is kind of stuck with what we all know to be a poor interpretation of the presidential records act. Let’s be sure we hold the right people accountable, and from where I’m sitting it’s Kavanaugh, Thomas etc.

I am less educated when it comes to miss handling classified documents. I do think it’s important for us to behave like sane Americans until such time as we know we do not have a functioning justice system. I do not think that time is now.
