  38. In exchange for memory optimization (which may very well be redundant for most people as they have gigabytes of free memory) you get an enormous increase in complexity and time to code. You'd be better off spending that time learning how to optimize performance in an easy to learn language like Python.

  45. You don't just 'learn JavaScript' or 'learn PHP', you need to learn the intricacies of the frameworks, which change every few months. If you insist on specializing you limit your employment chances. If you insist on trying to learn several, you can never master any of them. Web dev is probably the most competitive area of coding so you can't expect great wages even if you do get work. It really sucks and you are a cruel person if you recommend it to anyone.
