  3.  @dasunj7619  Well first of all I don't agree with the LTTE in everything. Only India helped them for a while, Indra Ghandhi wanted to bring JR under her control, one of the reasons, all help from India stopped in 1987, after 1987 India became a headache for the LTTE. LTTE did have shiplines, they stopped functioning in 2008, so in the end no supplies came to them. While China and Pakistan and many other countries supplied SL with deadly weapons, in modern day warfare weapons are major factor, in deciding the victory.

  4.  @dasunj7619  LTTE was a guerilla organization at first, later bacame conventional, if they had stayed like the Guerillas they probably would exist even today. Rules and Regulations? I don't think the army followed that either, I can give 100 of examples, LTTE did some bad things but those were in retaliations, like Anuradathapura attack for Manal Aru attack, over all it's the 1983 that changed them. They were not that violent before that.

When at even strength even though SL had 5-10 times more men advantage, SL army struggled with the LTTE, for ex. operation jeya sukuru which lasted 2 years but ended in failure for SL, over 10 000 army perished in that operation, another would be elephant pass of 2000. LTTE was good at conventional warfare as well. But in the end everything changed Karuna weakened the LTTE and joined hands with the army giving all the intelligence, army received new weapons (dangerous), China fund gave them the opportunity to build their army, the army became 300 000 from 100 000.

  7.  @dasunj7619  The army used the Uduhampola Policy to win the war as well, which is not good for the innocent civilians, 1956 of Gal oya, Sinhala only of 1956, 58 riots, restrictions on higher education and jobs to Tamils, deporing the 600 000 Indian workers while keeping the sinhalized workers, attack on world Tamil conference these are some of the incidents that lead to the demand for Eelam, burning of Jaffna Library, 1983 cruel attacks and Manal Aru attacks fuelled the war, so can't blame the LTTE alone...can we?

For the death of 13 soldiers the state, military and thugs killed over 3000 Tamils, black july, for that LTTE went into muulaitivu military base late july, katunayaka air base, it was other side who were after civilians. Sathrukondan, kunudini boat, navaly church just a few.

Go back to 1998 SL forces choked with the LTTE..for example jeya sikurui operation whatever areas the military gained over 1.5 year the LTTE took back in one week killing 1000s of SL soldiers..battle of Poonakari..Mullaitivu 1996..Kilinochi 1998...Elephant pass 2000..SL military choked despite having 5-10 times more men advantage and better weaponry..in the end LTTE ran out of supplies..Karuna betrayed and weakened them..Joined the military and gave much intelligence, his men even took part in the attacks..so many countries helped, including Sonia Government. Over all Chinese funds helped to triple the army...in the end people tried to escape bcs they were being shelled, there are so many evidences for that. One day a good buddhist soldier would repent and tell exactly what they did.

According to Ambedkar Thiravidar/Nagas/Dasas/Asuras/Raksa/Tamils refers to the same people, who once occupied the whole sub continent and the lands, now under the ocean, below Sri Lanka. We lost that land and most of the sub continent, so a small island is not an issue for us. The people who lived in the island before the arrival of north Indians were genetically same including the Veddas, Vedda is a tamil word for hunters, probably they all spoke Thamil.

Your historians Sudarsan Seneviratne, Arjun Gunaratne, Paul E pieris have have admitted that the people who lived in the island in the past were Tamil speaking . Terrifying black july, many youths joined the LTTE only after this, also they became very aggressive against the army, not against civilians. For revenge they went into mullaitivu base not after innocent civilians, how did the state react killing 3000 Tamils for the death of 13 soldiers, is that fair? Taking off clothes, beating them, stabbing them, burning them alive, throwing escaping children back into the fire, even after these the LTTE tried their best not to harm innocent people.

  32. Your Sinhala Holy Book Maha Vamsa says clearly Sinhalese are not native of the island, but came to the island from other places. Mahavamsa talk about Naagas, who ruled the island before Vijaya, who are Naagas, and who is Kuveni, study what dr. ambedkar and other historians have to say about Tamils and Naagas. Australian Native people are less than 10% of the current population, does that mean others are Natives.

  34. @Sky line V.S.G Some third sanga books refer to the island as Eelam or Naaga Theevu, some say there are books saying there were migrations between south India and Sri Lanka as far as 3000 years, maybe Yaalpana Vaipava maalai. There were some discoveries in the sinhala areas in the past, archeaologists discovered some pots with Tamil writings on them which are over 2000 years old, Mahavamsa talks about Naaga kingdom, which was before Vijaya, at least 2550 years, Ambedkar and other historians also talk about the Naagas, they lived all over India and they spoke none other than Tamil, Kuveni also belonged to the Naaga dynasty, the name vedda in fact vedar, means hunters.

  35. @Sky line V.S.G According to the history we have the first sinhalese were born to Kalinga men and Pandiya women, then more immigrants came along with the monks, who were Indo Arians, they assimilated with the Sinhalese, this further made changes in the genes, fair looking Sinhalese are these people. Some Tamils here and there assimilated with the Sinhalese, in and around Anuradapura, in and around Trinco and Polanaruva, no wonder half of the Sinhala population looks very identical to the Tamil people. Again more immigrants came due to work related issues, from south India, some from Kerala as well. More immigrants came around 500 years back who were former Tamils mixed with arians, they ruled Kandy for a while, they also assimilated with the Sinhalese, this is why some Sinhalese look different from the Tamils.

  36. @Sky line V.S.G The Cholas built two Shiva temples, one in Trinco the other one in Mannar, these were built at least 2000 years ago. Many old Viharas also built around that time, Cholas and Pandiyas were aware of the island but did not pay much attention, they were busy fighting each other for power. The unity of Sinhala people I admire, sorry if I have offended you.

While most politicians wanted Tamil and Sinhala to replace English, JR wanted sinhala only, to overcome that Bandara Nayake went on campaigning he would make ceylon a Sinhala Buddhist nation.

Only after so called independence and freedom Tamils lost their real freedom. A person from Britain or France can easily go and live in Canada than a person from Germany or Spain bcs of ethnicity, this don't applies to SL Tamils in India.

LTTE killed over 40 000 army sinhla civil deaths not even 4000, also mostly due to collateral damages, that shows they were after who. On the other hand over 200 000 innocent Tamils perished, simply a genocide in the name of war.
